The COVID-19 pandemic increased people's time at home and caused an 80% increase in noise disputes between floors. The purpose of this study is to propose suitable materials for making indoor shoes (insoles) to minimize noise between floors. Subjects without back pain and leg-related disease (e.g. arthritis, etc.) from three dif- ferent age groups (childhood, adolescence, and adulthood) were recruited for the study. Five polymer insole materials were considered: Chloroprene Rubber (CR foam), Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM foam), Natural Latex foam, Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA foam), and Polyurethane (PU foam). From these materials, 20 combinations were prepared and randomly tested for noise and vibration. The results revealed a significant difference in noise and vibration levels based on the type of material used and the age of the subject. Nevertheless, all materials under consideration successfully reduced noise and vibration; in particular, type A-C greatly decreased. The CR foam material was especially effective at noise and vibration reduction (p<.01). This study suggests that adding insoles into socks that children wear at home could reduce noise vibration and disputes between floors.
산업현장에서의 착시현상을 이용한 안전표지판 적용에 관한 연구 – 추락 및 충돌방지를 중심으로

Objective: This study aims to investigate the feasibility of using optical illusions for safety and health to address the high accident rates of falls and collisions in industrial settings worldwide. Background: A Study on the Application of Optical Illusion Safety Signs in Industrial sites – Focusing on Fall and Collision Prevention. In many cities worldwide, efforts are being made to prevent accidents by creating an optical illusion on crosswalks that gives approaching vehicle drivers the perception that the crosswalk is floating above the road. Method: For this study, five optical illusions were selected through focus group interviews (FGI), and a survey was conducted among 367 participants, including 48 safety managers and 319 workers. The survey was conducted using a 5-point Likert scale, and participants were asked to select words that best described their perception of each illusion. Cronbach's Alpha and ANOVA were conducted as part of the study. Results: The results showed that Cronbach's Alpha value for the questionnaire was above 0.8, indicating good internal consistency. Concerning falls, Optical Illusion 2 was significantly rated higher than Optical Illusion 1. Optical Illusion 5 was significantly rated higher than Optical Illusion 3 and 4 in the collisions. In summary, Optical Illusion 2 and 5 were found to be highly applicable in the real-world settings. Conclusion: These findings suggest that safety signs utilizing optical illusions are likely to be highly effective in preventing accidents. Application: However, for these safety signs to be effective in accident prevention, additional consideration should be given to user learning effects, distraction effects, and the psychological impact on users.

본 연구이 목적은 뇌졸중 환자와 일반 고령자의 성대진동 개시시간(Voice Onset Time; VOT)을 분석하여 뇌졸중을 사전 예측할 수 있는 알고리즘을 개발하는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 뇌졸중 환자 151명과 일반 고령자 173명을 모집하여 실험을 실시하였고 음성 녹음 장치를 통하여 실험참가자에게 ‘똑딱’을 3번 반복하여 발음하게 하였다. 음성 신호는 파라트(Parat) 라는 프로그램을 이용하여 음성의 파형을 육안으로 확인하고,이를 성대가 열리는 시간부터 성대가 진동을 시작하는 시간을 표시하여 VOT를 산출하였다 일반 고령자의 VOT는 0.02초 (±0.001), 뇌졸중 환자의 VOT 0.03초 (±0.009)로 나타났으며, t-test결과에 의해 두 집단 간에 유의미한 차이를 보였다(p<0.05). 각 집단의 VOT 결과를 바탕으로 베이지안 이론을 통해 새로운 VOT 결과값이 도출되었을 때, 이 값이 어느 집단에 속할 확률을 산출하였다. 본 연구에서는 성대진동개시시간의 집단 간 차이를 바탕으로 하여 현재 환자가 뇌졸중일 확률을 산출하는 어플리케이션을 개발하였다. 이러한 단일 변수로는 예측력이 떨어지므로 기 개발된 심전도(PQRST, R-R), 뇌파, 동작분석 변수와 결합을 한다면 예측력이 높은 알고리즘 개발이 가능할 것이다.
