Background and Objectives:The treatment of Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV) consist of repositioning maneuver in order to remove otolithic debris, and subsequent postural restrictions to prevent debris from rentering into the canal. But, it is d out the efect of postural restrictions when imposed on as one of the treatment methods of BPPV, out-broken due to otolithic debris in the posterior semicircular canal, and to find out the necesity of postural restrictions. Subjects and Method:Seventy cases diagnosed as BPPV of the posterior semicircular canal were studied. Al the patients were treated by modified Epley Maneuver. They were divided into two groups. The first group (group A, 35 patients) was instructed to sleep in a semi-sitting (group B, 35 patients) was not taught to do any specific thing. The gathered information from all the patients was analyzed by age of onset, gender, duration of the disease, and cure rates or recurrence rates. Results:In group A, the average age was 54.5 years and mean duration of symptoms was 116.5 days. On the other hands, in the group B, the average age and the mean duration was 54.8 years and 86.7 days, respectively. A and group B patients, respectively. No statisticaly significant difference was found betwen two groups regarding patient age, duration of symptoms, and cure rates or recurence rates. Conclusion:From the analysis of this study, it can be said that postural restrictions imposed after the repositioning maneuver do not have a significant efect on the final outcomes of BPV, so they are not recommendable.

소방시설의 관리실태 조사 분석

Currently, domestic architecture has applied the building fire-fighting equipments to most buildings except conventional houses, villas and facilities, and so on. However, the use of fire-fighting equipments what are not working properly result in a human life and property damages consistently like a fire of Icheon warehouse facilities, Korea cold storage, the tragic incident of subway in Daegu and the recent issue of a fire in the high-rise efficiency apartment, etc. In this study, I'm trying to seek solutions by taking research on the actual condition of fire alarming system, fire escaping equipment,Indoor Fire Hydrant Installation. 현재 국내 건축물은 일반주택, 빌라 등을 제외한 대부분 건물에 소방시설을 적용하고 있다. 그러나 소방시설의 활용은 이천물류창고 화재, 코리아 냉동 창고 화재, 대구지하철 참사와 최근 부산의 고층 오피스텔화재 등에서 나타낸 문제점과 같이 제대로 작동하지 못함으로서 인명과 재산피해 등이 지속적으로 발생되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 소방시설 중 가장 널리 사용되고 초기 화재에 중요하게 사용되는 자동화재탐지설비, 비상경보설비, 피난설비, 옥내소화전의 관리 실태를 파악하고 이에 대한 문제점을 데이터화하여 실제화재시 소방시설의 적극적인 활용을 위한 해결점을 찾고자 한다.

2D게임을위한수직이착륙비행체의 물리 기반시뮬레이션

In this paper, we consider a physics-based 2D flight simulation game where users can easily control realistic flight of a vehicle equipped with two thrusters that allow vertical takeoff and vertical landing. The flight vehicle can be manipulated by directly controlling the thrusting force at each thruster using a pair of analog input devices such as joysticks. However, it might require too much practice to make aerobatic flying solely with this kind of control. We propose a set of fly-by-wire methods that provide easy-to-use, intuitive control of a VTVL vehicle. Based on PD controllers, the proposed methods allow users to specify the velocity or position of the vehicle directly. Furthermore, they are easy to understand and simple to implement. We expect that the proposed vehicle model and control mechanism could be used in various 2D games. 최근 활발하게 발표되고 있는 물리 기반 이차원 캐주얼 게임들은 이차원상의 제어에 따른 편의성과 사용자의 물리적경험에 따른 직관적인 조작성 및 친숙함에 힘입어 큰 사용자층을 형성하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 비행 조작에서의 편의성을 보장하며 물리적 사실성에 따른 흥미를 유발할 수 있는 물리 기반 이차원 비행 시뮬레이션 게임을 고려한다. 우선이에 적합한 두 개의 추진기를 가진 수직 이착륙 비행체 모델을 제시한다. 각 추진기에서의 추력을 두 개의 조이스틱등을사용하여직접제어할수있다.하지만이와같은기계식조정방식을통해고난이도의역동적곡예비행을하기위해서는꽤많은연습이필요하다.보다손쉽고직관적인조작을위하여PD제어를통해비행체의속도및위치를빠르고정확하게 제어할 수 있는 전기식 조정 방식(fly-by-wire)을 제안한다. 제안된 비행체 및 비행 제어 기법은 여러 흥미로운이차원 게임 제작에사용될 수있을 것으로 기대된다.

최근 활발하게 발표되고 있는 물리 기반 이차원 캐주얼 게임들은 이차원상의 제어에 따른 편의성과 사용자의 물리적 경험에 따른 직관적인 조작성 및 친숙함에 힘입어 큰 사용자층을 형성하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 비행 조작에서의 편의성을 보장하며 물리적 사실성에 따른 흥미를 유발할 수 있는 물리 기반 이차원 비행 시뮬레이션 게임을 고려한다. 우선 이에 적합한 두 개의 추진기를 가진 수직 이착륙 비행체 모델을 제시한다. 각 추진기에서의 추력을 두 개의 조이스틱 등을 사용하여 직접 제어할 수 있지만, 이와 같은 기계적 조정 장치를 통해 고난이도의 역동적 곡예비행을 하기 위해서는 꽤 많은 연습이 필요하다. 보다 손쉽고 직관적인 조작을 위하여 PD 제어를 통해 비행체의 속도 및 위치를 빠르고 정확하게 제어할 수 있는 전기식 조정 장치(fly-by-wire)를 제안한다. 제안된 비행체 및 비행 제어 기법은 여러 흥미로운 이차원 게임 제작에 사용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 옥내소화전의 관리실태 조사연구

지속가능한 마을공동체를 위한 지방자치단체의 역할

서울시의 마을공동체 사업 시행 2년째를 맞이하여 현장에서 이뤄지고 있는 다양한 마을공동체 사업을 바탕으로 지방자치단체의 역할에 대해 다시 한번 생각해 보고자 한다. 마을 공동체 사업에 있어 가장 중요한 것은 중심에 반드시 주민이 있어야 된다는 것이다. 주민에 의사에 반하는 관 주도의 마을 공동체 사업은 실패 확률이 높고 지속 기능할 수가 없다는 점을 간과해서는 안된다. 또한 예산의 지원보다는 사람의 지원이 우선시 되어야 한다는 점이다. 사람의 지원을 통해 주민의 역량을 강화하고 주민 스스로 모든 일련의 프로세스를 처리 할 수 있는 사람에 대한 교육과 지원이 지방자치단체에서 해야할 가장 중요한 임무라 할 수 있다. 또한 부서간 팽배해 있는 칸막이 행정의 극복이다. 마을공동체 사업은 도시계획부터 이에 맞는 콘텐츠 구성 등 다양한 분야의 사업이 어우러질 수 있는 사업이 주를 이루고 있는 관계로 칸막이 행정을 극복해야 하는 과제를 안고 있다 해도 과언이 아니다. 결론적으로 마을 공동체 사업은 참여 방법을 쉽게, 지원 절차는 간단하게, 돈의 지원보다는 사람의 지원이 먼저인 마을 중심의 행정시스템을 구축해야 할 것이다. The aim of this paper is to reconsider the role of local government for diverse Maeul community business which has implemented in Seoul for 2 years. It is very important for residents to be in the main of Maeul community business. We have to keep in mind Maeul community businesses leaded by government against residents’ opinion were likely to fail and not sustainable. Local government’s roles to activate Maeul community business are rather the support of people than fund support and the general support of all departments of local government. In conclusion, administration system with Maeul as the center is to be established to make residents’ participation easy, make support process simple and support people rather than money.

Septic thrombophlebitis results from extensive infection of the lateral pharyngeal space to the jugular vein and generaly occurs in healthy adolescents and young adults. This disease can disseminate to multiple distant sites such as joint, liver, kidney, eye, bone, good diagnostic methods for external jugular vein thrombophlebitis (EJVT). Treatment of EJVT includes intravenous antibiotics and surgical drainage of abscess, ligation or excision of the jugular vein, in adition to fibrinolytic agents and anticoagulants. With a review of literature, authors report a case of external jugular vein thrombophlebitis with sepsis which has successfully been ma-naged by ligation and excision of the vein.
