Investigation of Resonant Local Surface Plasmon Effects Using CdSe Quantum Dots

The local surface plasmon effects of colloidal cadmium selenide (CdSe) quantum dots (QDs) were observed at a low temperature (approximately 5 K). As the wavelength between the CdSe QDs and metals is precisely tuned, the enhancement effects of CdSe photoluminescence (PL) significantly increase because of the increased coupling effects between the plasmonic fields of the metal surfaces of Au and Ag and the exciton states of a single CdSe QD. The PL enhancement effect of Au was observed to be approximately six times higher than that of Ag because of enhanced coupling. This result demonstrates the importance of wavelength matching in maximizing the surface plasmon effects and achieving enhanced PL in various device applications.
양파즙과 양파박을 첨가한 당화 최적조건 및 당화물의 효능

본 연구는 최적의 당화 조건을 구명하기 위해 양파즙과 양파박을 0, 10, 20%로 첨가했다. 처리별로25, 30, 35℃에서 72시간 동안 당화시켰다. 35℃의 당화 온도에서 처리 24시간 후 양파즙 첨가 20%에서 13.2 ◦Brix, 양파박 첨가 20%에서 19.6 ◦Brix의 당도를 나타내었다. 그러나 관능 평가결과 처리 간에 크게 차이가 나지 않았다. 양파박을 사용한 양파 당화물이 염증 유발물질인 히스타민 방출량을 14% 억제하는 효과를 나타내었다. ELISA 분석 결과 양파당화물이 대조군에 비해 IL-8과 TNF의 방출을 보다 효과적으로 차단할 수 있었다. To determine the optimum saccharification conditions, onion juice and pomace were added at 0, 10, and 20% of the total amount. The mixed materials were then saccharized at 25, 30, and 35℃ for 72 h. After 24 h, the 20%-added onion juice or pomace and a saccharification temperature of 35℃ resulted in the highest sugar content of 13.2˚Brix for onion juice and 19.6˚Brix for onion pomace. However, sensory evaluation was not significantly different among the treatments. The saccharized onion products from onion pomace inhibited inflammationmediating substances (14% inhibition in histamine release). ELISA analysis for determining cytokine release showed that the saccharized onion products had a more effective.

The purpose of this study is to obtain a suggestion about a scheme to secure educational finance. So I made a comparative study of the methods of supply for the educational finance and funds in three nations : Korea, America and Japan. As a result of these studies, I came to the conclusion as followings ; When Korea is compared with America and Japan ; first, the amount of investment in public school expenses from G. N. P. Which America and Japan are making is higher than Korea. Second, the methods of supply the educational finance and the form of funds in America and Japan are various than Korea. third, the local government makes a great effort to support the educational finance, and so the rate of self-supporting in school expenses between public school and private school, but to correct this, government is enforcing the support on finance. Therefore, to improve the finance of Korea education, followings are needed ; First, we should increase the absolute size of educational investment. second, we should remind local government of responsibilities on education and third, make a great effort to increase the school expenses through diversity of the supporting methods of educational finance, and lastly, government ought to support actively for the private school.

Plasmonic effects on photoluminescence are investigated via time-integrated and resolved photoluminescence (PL) in epitaxially grown InGaAs quantum dots (QDs). The decay time and PL intensities are compared as a function of the density of Ag nanoplates. Optimal conditions for both reduction lifetime and enhanced PL intensity were found to be a 1:15 ratio of Ag nanoplates to water. Both less and greater than that ratio 1:15, the lifetime increased and the enhancement factor of PL intensity decreased. In addition, the plasmon effect was investigated via resonance wavelength and temperature-dependent PL measurements. At 150K near the resonance conditions between PL from InGaAs QDs and Ag nanoplates, both the lifetime reduction and enhancement factor are maximized. Intensity enhancement is correlated to lifetime reduction for various conditions to identify a condition for maximized enhancement of radiative recombination for designing future ultrafast plasmonic nanolasers.
