We conducted eight surveys in the northern East China Sea (ECS) in winter (February-April), summer (July), and autumn (October) 2004-2009, to investigate the seasonal distribution of T. pacificus. A total of 482 paralarvae, rang-ing in mantle length (ML) from 1.0 - 17.0 mm, were collected at 73 out of 181 stations. There were higher numbers of paralarvae during the winter and summer months than in the autumn. There was significant seasonal variation in the paralarval mantle lengths; mantle lengths were longer in winter (April) than in summer (July). The position of oceanic fronts in the study area played an important role in restricting paralarval distribution along the inshore edge of the Tsushima Warm Current (TWC). When the TWC expanded to western Jeju Island in winter and autumn, the paralarval distribution range extended to include western Jeju Island. However, when the TWC was located south-east of Jeju Island in the summer, paralarvae were distributed along the frontal zone off southeast Jeju Island. Sites at which paralarval mantle length was <2.0 mm ML indicated that the spawning ground were likely to be within the northern ECS in winter and summer, but north of the study area in autumn.

The common squid Todarodes pacificus is an ecologically and commercially important species in Korea and Japan. However, the distribution pattern of its eggs and larvae in Korean waters has not yet been clarified. To determine the horizontal and temporal distribution of common squid larvae in the northern East China Sea, samples collected using paired, 60 cm diameter Bongo nets from the three surveys conducted in August 2003, May 2004 and November 2005 were examined. In addition, the vertical distribution was examined from the samples collected using a 1 m2 MOCNESS in April 1999 (20 m interval down to 100 m). A total of 218 larvae ranging in mantle length (ML) from 1.2 to 17.0 mm were counted at 27 stations. Larval abundance was highest in May 2004. The larvae mainly occurred in the southeastern area of Jeju Island, where the water temperature and salinity at 50 m deep ranged from 15-23℃ and 34-34.6 psu, respectively. Most larvae were collected in the frontal zone, where the Tsushima Warm Current and inshore waters meet. The results from the MOCNESS samples showed that the larvae occurred mostly in 20-80 m depth ranges (about 90%), although collections were only conducted above 100 m. No significant differences in larval mantle lengths (ANOVA, P>0.05) were found among each depth interval. Given the occurrence sites of the larvae <2.0 mm ML, the spawning ground of this species appears to be within the northern East China Sea, mainly to the southeast and northeast of Jeju Island, in early spring.

수도권 도시철도의 승강장과 차량 사이의 간격은 최대 260mm에 달하며 이는 최근의 장애인 및 어린이 등 교통약자의 발빠짐 사고의 원인이 되고 있다. 2006년 3월에 개통한 대전도시철도공사 판암역의 승강장과 차량과의 최대간격은 16.2cm이다. 이러한 간격으로 인한 교통약자의 발빠짐 사고를 방지하기 위해 2016년 7월에 차량과의 간격이 넓은 8개소에 접이식 자동 안전발판 시스템을 설치하여 차량과의 간격을 3cm 이하로 구축했다. 이는 장애인 및 어린이 등의 교통약자를 위한 보다 안전한 도시철도 운영에 도움의 되고 있다. Spacing between the metropolitan area urban railway platform and the vehicle reached a maximum 260mm, this has become a cause of foot missing accident of vulnerable road users such as people with disabilities and children. The maximum distance between the platform and the vehicle, which was opened in March 2006 Daejeon Metropolitan Express Transit Corporation Pan"am Station is 16.2cm. Building in order to prevent the foot missing accident of vulnerable road users due to these intervals, set up a folding automatic safety scaffolding system of the interval is wide eight locations of the vehicle in July 2016, the distance between the vehicle and platform to 3cm below did. This has become a help in the management of a safer city railway for vulnerable road users, such as people with disabilities and children.

The purpose of this study was to compare the ground reaction forces and plantar pressure variables among three different safety shoes (Type 1: ergonomically designed and high quality shoes, 2: curved and cushioned safety hoes, and 3: regular safety shoes) and to find the effect of insole during walking. Ten healthy subjects were recruited for this study. The ground reaction force was measured using a 3 dimensional motion analysis system. Plantar pressures were measured Pedar Mobile foot pressure scan system. The ground reaction force variables were not significantly different among three different shoe types and insole conditions. After insertion insole, plantar pressure distributions were improved. These results suggest that the type 1 safety shoes was superior than other safety shoes in the statistics, and applying insole could be a possible method to prevent fatigue of lower extremity and musculoskeletal disorders. Further studies are needed to find the effect of ergonomically designed safety shoes design and insole on practical value prevention of musculoskeletal disorder, fatigue and satisfaction of workers.
