        沈香의 국내외 연구동향과 본초학에 대한 문헌고찰

        Objectives : To investigate the modern research achievements of agarwood and its association with the efficacy of herbal medicine based on the in vivo and in vitro activities of volatile compounds detected in agarwood. Methods : Databases such as PubMed and ScienceOn were searched for medicinal in vivo and in vitro activity studies on agarwood. They were categorized into “medicine and pharmacy” and “others not related to medicine and pharmacy,” and the studies on medicine and pharmacy were organized according to active efficacy. The efficacy and virtue of agarwood as identified in the book <Bonchohak> (or herbal medicine/herbology) corresponded to modern medical terms and diseases in reference to the <WHO Standard Terminology on Traditional Medicine>. Separately, the Gas Chromatography & Mass spectrometer (GC-MS) analysis results of agarwood from a total of 5 production areas of Aquilaria crassna from Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, and Cambodia as identified in previous studies were consulted to search for research papers on the medicinal activity of the 13 compounds of the aromatic sesquiterpene family detected in agarwood, and they were categorized according to topic. Results : There were 123 studies on the medicinal activity of agarwood. Overall, 46 studies on single extracts of agarwood reported activities such as improving mental health, including anti-anxiety and stability, and antiallergic, antioxidant, antibacterial, and digestive system protective effects. In total, 59 papers on the activities of single compounds isolated from agarwood reported anti-inflammatory and mental health benefits. Separately, 13 compounds detected in agarwood, such as α-agarofuran and β-caryophyllene, were reported by 110 studies to have anticancer, stabilizing, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory activities. There were also papers on the cultivation methods and resin formation conditions of agarwood trees unrelated to the efficacy of herbal medicine. Conclusion : Among the pharmacological papers, a total of 57 papers corresponded to the effects of agarwood in traditional herbal medicine, including 33 papers related to agarwood extracts and 24 papers analyzing 8 types of sesquiterpenes, such as β-caryophyllene and cedrol, from previous studies. Based on the research findings of each paper, it was possible to correlate the effects of agarwood in traditional herbal medicine with the achievements of modern pharmacological research. In addition, further research is anticipated in new areas related to traditional herbal medicine, including the improvement of mental health such as anti-depression, as well as activities related to anticancer, antioxidant, and hair growth.

        Markerless Tumor Motion Tracking in Cine Images from Megavoltage Electronic Portal Imaging Device

        Lung tumor motion is challenging for image guided radiation treatment (IGRT) with a margin reduction. Locating the tumor using megavoltage (MV) cine image from electronic portal imaging device (EPID) is one solution. In this study, tumor localization was conducted for original image and processed image using deblurring and contrast enhancement. For the locating algorithm, searching of the minimum position of the mean of the sum of squared pixel differences (MSSD) between two images was used. Along with usual manual drawn masks, a novel detection mask based on Harris-Stephen (HS) corner detector was devised and tested. After conducting experiment, the detection accuracy was the best for the original set. The HS corner-based mask produced detection accuracy equivalent to or better than others. This feature-based mask creation can be used to develop automated tumor tracking or tumor registration widely needed by clinics.

        토지거래허가제의 정책효과에 관한 연구-천안 · 아산지역을 중심으로-

        This study explores the regulatory effects of land transaction permit system in both Cheonan and Asan cities in South Korea. We use autoregressive analysis with two lagged variables, controlling for the number of real estate brokers, price increase rate, Korean Composite Stock Price Index, and the growth rate of GDP. Our empirical analysis suggests that the land permit system is not enough to prevent the speculative demand for land in these areas. Even after the regulation of land market, the amount of land transaction in the two cities increased. 본 연구는 천안 및 아산지역에 실시된 토지거래허가제 효과를 분석하고 있다. 특히 토지거래허가제가 토지거래량에 미친 영향을 분석하기 위하여 자귀회귀분석에 따른 시차변수를 도입하고 통제변수로 부동산 중개업체수, 물가상승률, 종합주가지수, 그리고 GDP 성장률을 포함하였다. 본 연구에서 토지거래허가제의 효과분석은 시계열적 차단방법(time series interruption in quasi-experimental method)을 통한 준실험적 비교분석기법을 사용한다. 본 연구의 분석결과에 따르면 토지거래허가제는 토지시장의 투기적 수요를 막는데 미흡한 것으로 나타났다. 오히려 토지거래허가제 실시 이후 토지거래량이 증가하는 경향이 나타났다.

      • 국내 요양병원의 물리치료실의 효율적 평면계획 및 시설개선에 관한 연구

        The present study investigated the actual conditions of physical therapy rooms at long-term hospitals in Korea and conducted a comparative analysis to develop an efficient floor plan and facility improvement measures. 1. At hospitals surveyed, physical therapy services were used at a high frequency but they did not have enough space for rehab treatment and long paths of patient flow were found to make patient management inconvenient. Therefore, physical therapy units should be conveniently located both in terms of distance and direction so as to be accessible from patient rooms or wards. The space should be organized in a concentrated layout for efficiency of physical therapy, and floor planning for therapy units should ensure the best possible viewing angle to therapists. 2. With regard to the disease characteristics of patients, many physical therapy rooms were in difficult circumstances because of poor facilities, so they need to secure skilled personnel, supplement apparatuses and equipment and have rooms for functional recovery, hydrotherapy and operation treatment. In addition, each of the curtained or partitioned areas for treatment should be set up with consideration for the amount of space taken up by medical equipment. The area under each bed should be designed for patient convenience so that it can be used as storage space for patient’s belongings and shoes. 3. Patients complained about the lack of physical therapy space, resting places or exercise areas and demanded the expansion of rehab programs and facilities. Physical therapy facilities need to be improved for patient privacy and effective natural ventilation. 4. At most of the long-term hospitals surveyed, physical therapy units were found to have small areas and treatment equipment and devices were insufficient compared to the number of patients. Therefore, it is required to secure more space (at least 138.24 sq. meters per 100 beds) and improve facilities for better physical therapy services.

      • 친환경 복합 변전소 건축 계획에 관한 연구

        In this study, the followings were considered in planning an environment-friendly combined substation: 1) In terms of selection of construction site and layout planning, continued expansion and diverse sites are required. In the downtown area, however, it might be almost impossible to find decent vacant land or construction site. Therefore, there should be legal grounds backing the construction of a substation in a building basement or under the public facilities such road, park and subway. 2)Appropriate soundproof walls should be installed depending on the type of transformer to prevent sound from traveling through the connection unit. The entrance, windows and ventilation systems should be soundproof as well. 3)To build an environment-friendly combined substation, there should be diverse efforts to introduce natural ventilation to adopt environment-friendly design factors, develop new faced and apply eco-architectural technologies. Therefore, it appears that a master plan for the construction of an environment-friendly combined substation proposed in this study could be useful in practice.
