A New Stabilization Method for a Class of Interconnected Systems By Using Local State Feedback

A new stabilization scheme is proposed in which the local state feedback is utilized in each decentralized controller for large-scale interconnected systems. In the proposed scheme, the controller is designed in two steps. First, the feedback gain of each decentralized controller is temporarily chosen so that the eigenvalues of each isolated subsystem are placed at the desired locations in the complex plane. Secondly, the feedback gain of each controller is compensated so that the time derivative of the Lyapunov function candidate for the overall closed-loop system should be negative. A sufficient condition which assures the global system to stable is given.
A study on automatic adjustment of white-balance for color television by using the fuzzy logic

The white-balance system for color tevision is characterized by 5 input-5 output nonlinear process. A design strategy of fuzzy control rules is treated in which it can be adopted to the white balance adjustment for color television. A fuzzy rule based on an expert's knowledge is constructed, and then a multivariable fuzzy control rule is designed. Since human has just two hands, he can manipulate two variables simutaneously. In case when the process to be controlled has more than three control variables, expert's control rule is much different from the multivariable control rule. A multivariable fuzzy control rule is constructed by utilizing the expert' knowledge and rough relations between input and output variables, and its usefulness is shown by experiments.
퍼지이론을 이용한 파라볼릭 SAR의 자동 조절에 관한 연구

본 논문에서는 퍼지이론을 주식, 선물 등의 거래 시스템에 적용?분석해 보고 그 결과를 토대로 파라볼릭 SAR 지표의 성능개선에 적용할 수 있는 가능성을 제기하였다. 실제의 선물 데이터에 적용한 결과 기존의 파라볼릭 SAR 지표보다는 제안된 퍼지 SAR 지표가 매매횟수와 거짓신호를 적게 발생시키는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 기존의 파라볼릭 SAR에서는 가속증분을 0.02로, 가속변수의 최대값을 0.2로 고정하는 것이 보통이나, 제안한 퍼지 SAR에서는 가속증분과 가속변수의 최대값이 퍼지규칙을 기반으로 조절되도록 하였다. 매매전문가의 경험적 지식을 단기 이평선과 중기 이평선 사이의 이격과 단기 이평선의 기울기를 기반으로 퍼지 규칙화하여 사용하므로, 퍼지 SAR의 가속증분과 가속변수의 최대값이 진행추세에 종속하여 조절된다. This paper proposes the possibility which the fuzzy theory can be used to improve the performance of the parabolic SAR(Stop-And-Reverse) indicator in the trading systems for stock market. The simulation results with data of the KOSPI 200 future show that the occurred number of trading signals and the false signals in the proposed fuzzy SAR indicator is less than that in the conventional SAR indicator. In the conventional SAR system, the incremental value of the acceleration factor is usually setted as 0.02 and the maximum value of the acceleration factor is usually limited as 0.2. But in the proposed fuzzy SAR system, the incremental value and the maximum value of the acceleration factor are automatically adjusted by using the fuzzy rules, which are designed based-on the difference between short-term moving average and medium-term moving average and also based-on the slope of short-term moving average.
A Tuning Method for the Membership Functions of a Fuzzy Controller

It is known that the performance of a fuzzy controller is related with fuzzification method, inference rules, defuzzification method, and linguistic variables. Among these, generally, the linguistic variables and control rules are transfered to control engineers from an expert or experts of the controlled system and other parts are designed by control engineers. However, there may be some missed infirmations or uncertainties in the transfered data. The purpose of the paper is to propose an algorithm to tune the membership functions of initially given fuzzy sets To do so, a simple shape of the membership fuction is assumed for the fuzzy sets, and the relations between the shapes of the fuzzy sets and the performance of the control system is derived. According to the relations, the shape of the membership functions are modified during operation of the whole system. The proposed algorithm will be applied to two emample plants, type 1 and type 0 systems.
A Study on the Function Generating Capability of the Fuzzy Controllers

Fuzzy controllers have been successfully applied to many cases to which conventional control algorithms are difficult to be applied. Even though the representations and the processings of data and information in the fuzzy controller are quite different from those in other control algorithms, the information processing operation that it caries out is basically a function ∫: $A{\subset}R^n{\to}R^m$, from a bounded subset A of an n-dimensional Euclidean space to a bounded subset f[A] of an m-dimensional Euclidean space, where n and m are the number of measured states and the number of control inputs of the controlled system, respectively. Under the assumptions of Mamdani's direct reasoning method and C.O.G.(center of gravity) defuzzification method, the fuzzy controllers are proven to perform the mapping of any given functions f with appropriately defined fuzzy sets. The mapping capabilities of fuzzy controllers are analyzed in detail for two cases, ∫: $R^{1}{\to}R^{1}$ and g: $R^{2}{\to}R^{1}$. Also, it will be shown that the results can be extended to multiple dimensional cases.
나노 TiO<sub>2</sub>와 나노 은의 광증착을 이용한 폴리우레탄 멤브레인의 항균성 부여 연구

Polyurethane membrane was chosen as an alternate for Gore-Tex$^{(R)}$ used in outdoor sportswear. Antimicrobial property was induced by dispersing titanium dioxide ($TiO_2$) particles on the surface of the membrane via sonication. Furthermore, Ag particle was photodeposited on the $TiO_2$ particles via UV irradiation to enhance the photocatalytic activity. Measurements using X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy showed that $TiO_2$ and Ag particles were evenly deposited on the membrane. In addition, the antimicrobial property against Klebsiella pneumoniae and Staphylococcus aureus was validated using the shake flask method and clear zone method.
불완전 채널 감지하의 IEEE 802.11 DCF 포화상태 성능 분석

본 논문은 불완전한 채널 감지를 고려한 포화 상태에서의 IEEE 802.11 carrier-sense multiple access with collision-avoidance(CSMA/CA)의 성능을 분석한다. 불완전한 채널 감지는 missed-detection과 false alarm을 포함하는데, 이러한 불완전한 채널 감지가 IEEE 802.11의 성능에 미치는 영향을 분석하고 이를 수식적으로 표현한다. 물리 계층의 불완전한 채널 감지를 표현하기 위해, 본 논문에서는 기존의 2차원 마코프 프로세스 모델을 수정했다. 모의실험 결과와 제안된 모델의 이론적인 결과가 일치하는 것을 보였다. 이러한 실험결과를 바탕으로, 감지 확률이 IEEE 802.11의 성능에 있어 가장 중요한 요소임을 확인하였다. In this paper, performance of IEEE 802.11 carrier-sense multiple access with collision-avoidance (CSMA/CA) protocols in saturated traffic conditions is presented taking into account the impact of imperfect channel sensing. The imperfect channel sensing includes both missed-detection and false alarm and their impact on the performance of IEEE 802.11 is analyzed and expressed as a closed form. To include the imperfect channel sensing at the physical layer, we modified the state transition probabilities of well-known two state Markov process model. Simulation results closely match the theoretical expressions confirming the effectiveness of the proposed model. Based on both theoretical and simulated results, the probability of detection is concluded as a dominant factor for the performance of IEEE 802.11.
