Effects of Job Stress on Work-Related Musculoskeletal Disorders in Heavy Industry for Three Years

The work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSDs) are rising as a social issue in all industries. So many manufacturing companies have been trying to improve the workstation, working postures, etc. for the control and prevention of the WMSDs. However, the causes of WMSDs like factors of personal characteristics (past medical history, lifestyle, hobby), job characteristics (repetitive task, inappropriate working posture, excessive use of force), and psychosocial characteristics (job stress, working time) are very diverse. Recently, interest in job stress on WMSDs is increasing. This study investigated the relation between WMSDs and job stress from 368 workers in heavy industry. The survey in this study was conducted a total oftwo times. The first survey was conducted from August to October 2010 and the second survey was conducted from July to September 2013. The subjects of the study were 368 workers who were confirmed equivalent workers from 2010 to 2013. From this study, following results were obtained. 1) WMSDs prevalence of workers according to the groups of job stress was statistically significant (p<0.1). 2) WMSDs prevalence was higher in high strain-high strain group (60.0%) than in high strain group (39.7%). Therefore, the results of follow-up study were more effective in controlling WMSDs than those of cross-sectional study. The results of this study will help the control of WMSDs

최근 임베디드 시스템과 인터넷 기술과의 접목은 시스템의 신뢰성 측면을 크게 부각시키고 있다. 이에 대한 해결책으로서 임베디드 시스템상에서의 가상화 기술 적용에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행 중이다. 시스템 가상화 기술은 가상 머신 모니터의 통제 하에 각각의 가상 머신을 고립시킴으로서 시스템의 신뢰성을 크게 향상시킬 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 임베디드 시스템 가상화 솔루션의 하나로서 Secure Xen on ARM의 구조와 성능을 분석한다.

지상 이동통신의 기본특징은 기지국에서 송신된 무선파는 모든 방향으로 복사된다. 이때 반사, 회절, 산란 등에 회한 전파가 존재한다. 이에 의해 수신기는 다른 위상과 도착시간을 갖는 여러 파동들로 구성된 중첩된 신호를 수신하게 된다. 이려한 환경을 다중경로 전송 환경이라 한다. 이려한 환경에서 수산신호는 감쇠되거나 증강되는데 이러한 현상을 다중경로 페이딩이라고한다. 다중경로 페이딩은 이동통신 환경에서 무선 신호가 전송될 때 수신신호의 오류율을 증가시킨다. 이 논문에서는 이러한 다중경로 페이딩 환경을 시뮬레이션 하고 시뮬레이션에 필요한 적절한 Renewal_time 값을 산출해 보고 갱신시간에 따른 에리율과 경로의 수의 따른 에러율을 비교해 본다.
Priority-Based Network Interrupt Scheduling for Predictable Real-Time Support

Interrupt handling is generally separated from process scheduling. This can lead to a scheduling anomaly and priority inversion. The processor can interrupt a higher priority process that is currently executing, in order to handle a network packet reception interruption on behalf of its intended lower priority receiver process. We propose a new network interrupt handling scheme that combines interrupt handling with process scheduling and the priority of the process. The proposed scheme employs techniques to identify the intended receiver process of an incoming packet at an earlier phase. We implement a prototype system of the proposed scheme on Linux 2.6, and our experiment results show that the prototype system supports the predictable real-time behavior of higher priority processes even when excessive traffic is sent to lower priority processes.

A fuzzy inference system (FIS), which could classify the state of effluent quality if it was high or not and identify visually the reasons for the high effluent quality in municipal wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs), was developed in this study. The decision tree algorithm and fuzzy technique were applied in the development of this system. By applying the classification and regression tree (CART) algorithm as a decision tree algorithm, the knowledge related to effluent quality was extracted and IF-THEN rules with crisp boundary values were generated. By applying the fuzzy technique, the fuzzification of these rules was conducted, where the trapezoidal and triangular membership function was used as a membership function type. And a Mamdani model with the Max-min operation was used as an inference model and the center of area (CoA) method was used for deffuzification. The accuracy achieved by using the developed system to classify the effluent state was confirmed by comparing the result with measured data. Furthermore, the developed system was demonstrated to be a useful tool for inferring the reasons for the high effluent quality.
