      • HPLC-ICP/MS 와 ICP/MS를 이용한 FAPAS 07187 쌀의 총비소, 무기비소, 카드뮴 측정

        Metal (loid)s such as environmental contaminants affect food safety. Metal (loid)s exist trace extremely in agriculture products. Therefore it is important to analyze accurately about trace these metals. High resolution techniques and quality controls are needed to analyze these materials. In order to achieve quality results, standardized methods and techniques are required. So ISO(International Organization for Standardization) of laboratory proficiency testing is determination of laboratory testing performance by means of inter-laboratory comparison. The values have been derived as a consensus of a number of laboratories using a variety of methods. Proficiency tests were applied to analyze the metal(loid)s [inorganic arsenic (As), total As and cadmium (Cd)] in powdered rice FAPAS 07187 (Food Analysis Performance Assessment Scheme; February-April 2013). The rice powder sample was extracted with 1% HNO3 for inorganic As for microwave-assisted extraction using water at 95℃ for 90 min and their analysis by HPLC/ICPMS. Also, HNO3 for total As and Cd using microwave-assisted extraction using at 200℃ for 50 mins and analysis by ICP/MS. Validation check was performed for accuracy using CRM (NMIJ CRM 7503-a) for inorganic As, and CRM (IRMM-Rice CRM) for total arsenic and cadmium. The result were satisfactory. FAPAS 07187 the z-scores of inorganic As, total As and Cd in powdered rice were-1.8,-0.9 and 0.2(lzl<2, respectively).

        This study surveyed 571 Korean National University of Physical Education(KNUPE) students in order to identify their attitudes toward such events as the Spring Festival, membership Training (MT), Lectures on Special Topics, and Sport competitions. The purpose of the study were(1) to determine whether there were attitudinal differences among three segment groups: athletes, full-time working students, and regular students; (2) to identify areas for improvement. As a result, the following points were observed: (1) Most students did not think of the Spring Festival's programs as being interesting. Other than a need to work or to compete in a sport game, this was the most cited reason for not attending the Spring Festival. Nevertheless, the athletes' attitude, followed by that of the full-time working students, were found to be most positive; (2) There is a need to get students more involved in the planning and organization process of the Spring Festival in order to develop more satisfactory programs. There is also a need to motivate students from all sport category groups or all departments to perform on stage because their active participation raises their peers' level of interest for the programs. Active participants will also become effective promoters for the event; (3) Although most students have attended an MT, the most cited reason for not attending was that MT was not fun. this shows a lack of understanding on the part of the students as to what the purposes of MT are. Although there were positive experiences gained there were also such dissatisfactions as "no free time", "forced to attend non-interesting programs", and "too demanding seniors". The latter indicates that students prefer the students preferred to go for 2 night and 3 days from Friday to Sunday, while 24.7% preferred 1 night and 2 days on Friday and Saturday; Only 7.2% preferred to go for 1 night and 2 days on Saturday and Sunday; Lastly, (4) students wanted to hear lectures about career opportunities after graduation. While athletes prefer to hear stories about successful alumni. Next, the others prefer to hear about practitioners' experiences on the job.

      • 가스터빈 블레이드 온도 특성 및 코팅층 건전성 평가를 위한 적외선 열화상 카메라 기법 활용

        Key part of main equipment in a gas turbine may be likely to be damaged due to operation under high temperature, high pressure, high-speed rotation, etc. Accordingly, the cost for maintenance increases and the damaged parts may cause generation to stop. The number of parts for maintenance also increases, but diagnostics technology for the maintenance actually does not catch up with the demand. Blades are made of precipitation hardening Ni superalloy IN738 and the like for keeping hot strength. The surface of a blade is thermal-sprayed, using powder with main compositions such as Ni, Cr, Al, etc. in order to inhibit hot oxidation. Conventional regular maintenance of the coating layer of a blade is made by FPI(Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection) and MTP(Magnetic Particle Testing). Such methods, however, are complicated and take long time and also require much cost. In this study, defect diagnostics were tested for the coating layer of an industrial gas turbine blade, using an infraredthermography camera. Since the infrared thermography method can check a temperature distribution on a wide range of area by means of non-contact, it can advantageously save expenses and time as compared to conventional test methods. For the infrared thermography method, however, thermo-load must be applied onto a tested specimen and it is difficult to quantify the measured data. To solve the problems, this essay includes description about producing a specimen of a gas turbine blade (bucket), applying thermo-load onto the produced specimen, photographing thermography images by an infrared thermography camera, analyzing the thermography images, and pre-testing for analyzing defects on the coating layer of the gas turbine blade.

      • GAS CHROMATOGRAPHY에 依한 김치의 有機酸 檢索 : 附 콩나물의 有機酸

        By virtue of gas chromatography several non-volatile organic acids in Kimchi (a Korean food comprising of vegetables and salt, a fermented pickle) were separated. Examination of the fractions resulted in identification of lactic, malonic, succinic, citric, and two unknown acids. Latic acid of Salty "Kimchi" was found in very small amount. It is considered due to the arrested latic acid fermentation by heavy dosage of table salt. Succinic acid was also lessened whereas the yield of citric acid was rather higher in the salty one. The fermentation taking place in Kimchi preparation is not a simple lactic acid fermentation but rather complicated ones. For a reference the organic acids in soybean sprout were detected by the gas chromatography.

      • 보리M_2 世代에서의 形質變異 및 相關에 關한 硏究

        This experiment was conducted to clarify variance and correlation among several agronomic characters in M_2 generation irradiated with r-rays of two barley varieties. The results were as follows: 1. The plant height and peduncle length trended to be short in the population of Suweon 201, but long in the population of M_2 generation of Suweon 203. 2. The peduncle length was broader distributed in the M_2 generation of both two varieties than the parental materials. The length ranged from 13 to 31 cm and from 13 to 27 cm in the M_2 generation of Suweon 201. The length ranged from 12 to 33 cm in the generation of Suweon 203, and from 21 to 33 cm in the control. 3. The correlation coefficients among plant height, spike length and peduncle length showed high significance in the M_2 generation. In conclusion, spike length was closely associated with the barley yield, but the relationship between peduncle length and yield in this study was not clearly investigated. Further study is needed to determine the genetic traits of the genotypes for the high yield potential and to evaluated the relationship between the characters, chemical compounds and other physiological properties in the further generation.

      • CAPD 환자의 복막염 진단을 위한 투석액 다량 배양법의 평가

        Effects of large volume culture methods on the culture positivity were evaluated with a total of 426 dialysate specimens from CAPD patients with suspected peritonitis treated at Severance Hospital. The positive rates were 39.0% in the study phase 1 (2 liter culture) and 39.2% in the phase 2 (900ml culture), which were significantly higher than that of 28.2% in the previous study, when conventional smaller volumes were cultured. Among the isolates, gram-positive organisms were 72.7% and 68.7% and gram-negative organisms 25.4% and 27.7%, in the phase 1 and 2, respectively. Coagulase-negative staphylococci were the most frequently isolated organism. Positive correlation between culture rate and WBC count of the dialysate was observed. Positive rates were 54.8% and 47.0% respectively when the specimens with WBC count of over 100/μl only were analysed. Twenty-four percent and 19% of coagulase-negative staphyloccoc and S.aureus isolates, respectively, were resistant to methicillin. Most of the gram-negative bacilli were susceptible to cephalosporins and aminoglycosides.

        정상한국인 및 각종갑상선질환에서의 아킬레스건반사 시간에 관한 연구

        "Since Chaney reported the measurement of ankle jerk in Patients with myxedema for the first time, slowing of the reflex in myxedema has been well documented by many authors. Although its mechanisms have not been elucidated clearly, it has long been held in esteem by clinicians a near pathognomonic sign in myxedema. Possible mechanisms suggested include (a) abnormal activity of the central nervous system, (b) a disorder of muscle like that of myotonia (c) lowered temperature of the muscle, (d) increased viscosity of themuscle due to myxdematous infiltration and (e) part of a general slowing of all vital processes. The brisk reflex in thyrotoxicosis has also been noted to be characteristic. The recent development of several simple methods of quantitating the deep tendon reflex time has made its application an easy, rapid, inexpensive and accurate test in the results of our examinations on the Achilles tendon reflex(ATR) times in normal Koreans along their sexes, ages and in various thyroid diseases. Also we observed the changes of ATR times in the thyrotoxicosis and myxedema after the initiation of treatment and compared them with other thyroid function tests. "
