어머니의 양육태도와 유아의 정서조절이 사회성에 미치는 영향 = Effects of the Mother's Parenting & Young Children's Emotional Regulation on Sociability

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 어머니의 양육태도와 유아의 정서조절이 유아의 친사회성에 미치는 영향을 다차원적(사회적 접근성, 사회적 회피성, 친사회성)으로 살펴보아, 유아의 친사회성 증진을 위한 방안을 탐색하고, 유아교육현장이나 부모교육 및 가족복지 프로그램, 상담현장에서 실제적으로 활용할 수 있는 기초자료를 제시하는데 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 대상은 만 3, 4, 5세 유아의 어머니 356명이었다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면, 첫째, 어머니가 자율적으로 양육할수록, 유아가 타인의 감정을 인식하고 대처하는 타인 정서조절 능력이 높을수록 유아의 사회적 접근성이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 어머니가 자녀에게 거부적이고 통제적인 양육을 할수록, 유아가 자신의 정서조절 능력이 낮고, 타인의 정서조절 능력이 높을수록 유아의 사회적 회피성이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 어머니가 자녀에게 독립심과 자율성을 제공하는 양육을 할수록, 유아의 자기 정서조절과 타인 정서조절 능력이 높을수록 유아의 친사회성은 높게 나타났다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of mother’s parenting attitude and young children's emotional regulation on their sociability. The subjects of this study were 356 mothers of young children aged 3, 4, and 5 attending three public kindergartens and two private kindergartens.
The results were as follows. First, it appeared that the more the mothers displayed self-regulating care of their children and the higher emotional regulation for others that the children had, the higher social accessibility that the children had. Second, the more the mothers engaged in the rejective and controlled care of their children, the lower the children's emotional self-regulation, while the higher ability to control their emotions for others they had, the higher social avoidance they had. Third, the more the mothers provided their children with autonomous parenting and the higher emotional regulation the children had, the higher pro-sociality they had. The results of this study indicated that the mother’s parenting attitude is the most important factor for young children's sociability. Also, it appeared that the development of children's ability to regulate emotion is based on their improvement of sociability.
