은퇴한 노인의 성인애착과 결혼만족도의 관계 : 의사소통의 매개효과 및 자아탄력성의 조절효과 = The Relationship Between Adult Attachment and Marital Satisfaction of the Retired Elderly People: The Mediating Effects of Communication and Moderating Effects of Ego-resilience

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 은퇴한 노인의 성인애착과 결혼만족도의 관계에서 의사소통의 매개효과 및 자아탄력성의 조절효과를 검증하기 위한 것이었다. 이를 위해 성인애착을 독립변인, 의사소통을 매개변인, 자아탄력성을 조절변인, 그리고 결혼만족도를 종속변인으로 설정한 연구모형을 검증하였다.
연구대상자는 서울특별시, 경기도, 광역시(부산, 인천, 광주) 지역의 55-70세의 은퇴한 남녀 노인 총 505명(남: 245명, 여: 260명)이며, 연구척도로는 성인애착척도, 의사소통척도, 자아탄력성척도, 결혼만족도 척도를 사용하였다. 또한 자료 분석으로는 성인애착, 의사소통, 자아탄력성, 결혼만족도 간의 상관분석을 실시하였고, 구조방정식 모형을 활용하여 성인애착과 결혼만족도의 관계에서 의사소통의 매개효과 및 자아탄력성의 조절효과를 검증하였다.
본 연구에서 밝혀진 주요한 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대다수의 측정변수 간 상관은 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 성인애착과 결혼만족도 간의 관계에서 의사소통의 매개효과는 유의하지 않았다. 이는 은퇴한 노인의 성인애착과 결혼만족도의 관계에서 의사소통이 매개변수로 기능하지 않는다는 점을 의미한다. 셋째, 성인애착과 결혼만족도 간의 관계에서 자아탄력성의 조절효과는 유의하였다. 즉 자아탄력성이 높은 은퇴한 노인은 자아탄력성이 낮은 은퇴한 노인에 비해 결혼만족도가 더 높으며, 특히 성인애착이 낮더라도 자아탄력성이 높은 은퇴한 노인의 경우 낮은 성인애착이 결혼만족도에 미치는 부정적 영향을 완화시키는 조절효과가 있다는 것이다. 따라서 자아탄력성은 은퇴한 노인의 결혼만족도에 영향을 미치는 중요한 조절변인으로 노년기의 부부관계 증진을 위한 치료적 변인이 될 수 있다는 점을 시사한다.
위의 연구결과는 은퇴한 노인의 결혼만족도를 증진시키기 위해 자아탄력성을 촉진하는 상담적 개입이 필요하다는 점을 시사한다. 따라서 본 연구는 은퇴한 노인을 위한 교육 및 상담개입에 있어서 유용한 전략을 제공하는 데 어느 정도 기여한 것으로 사료된다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study was conducted in order to investigate the relationship between adult attachment and marital satisfaction of the retired elderly people, especially the mediating effects of communication and moderating effects of ego-resilience.
The subjects for the this study were 505 retired elderly(male: 245, female: 260) from Metropolitan area(Seoul, Gyeonggi, Busan, Incheon, Kwangju). The Revised adult Attachment Scale, the Communication Scale, Ego-resiliency Scale, and the Quality Marriage Index were administered. The data was analyzed by correlation analysis in order to find out the correlation coefficient of those variables among the adult attachment, communication, ego-resilience and marital satisfaction, SEM was used to investigate mediating effects of communication and a two-step technique using SEM analysis of Ping was used to investigate moderating effects of ego-resilience.
The results of this study are as follows:
First, it was proved that the correlation coefficient of those variables among adult attachment, communication, ego-resilience and marital satisfaction were statistically significant differences. Second, communication was not a significant mediator variable for adult attachment and marital satisfaction. Third, ego-resilience was a significant moderator variable for adult attachment and marital satisfaction. That is, those with high ego-resilience experienced high adult attachment and much marital satisfaction, and those with low ego-resilience experienced low adult attachment and less marital satisfaction. So it could be said that ego-resilience played a moderating role in relieving the marital satisfaction of the retired elderly whose adult attachment were higher.
According to the results of this study, it was proved that ego-resilience had a moderating effect of adult attachment and marital satisfaction. Therefore, ego-resilience could be as an effective variable in increasing retired elderly's marital satisfaction and could be emphasized as a therapeutic variable in the counseling for the elders. The result of this study, especially the moderating effects of elderly's ego-resilience suggest guidelines for elders' counseling strategies in helping their enhancing marital satisfaction. Finally, several suggestions were made for future researches.
