유아교사의 다문화적 효능감과 전문적 성향의 관계 = The Relationship between the Early Childhood Teachers' multicultural efficacy and the professional disposition

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between early childhood teachers' multicultural efficacy and professional disposition. The subjects were 187 teachers in early childhood institution in G city and J Province. The instruments of the study were the multicultural efficacy scale(general life, instructional function, and human relations) and the professional disposition scale(intelligent skill, professional autonomy, and service duty). The collected data were analyzed with SPSS Program, Pearson r and multiple regression analysis. The results of the study were as follows; First, early childhood teachers' multicultural efficacy was positively related to professional disposition. In particular, there were significant relationships among general life and intelligent skill, instructional function & human relations and intelligent skill & professional autonomy. Second, early childhood teachers' multicultural efficacy was the predicting variable in professional disposition. In conclusion, for a desirable multicultural approach, early childhood teachers need to enhance their multicultural efficacy for young children. Consequently, it is expected to promote early childhood teachers' professional ability in multicultural environment.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 다문화 교육에 대한 유아교사의 효능감이 전문적 성향과 어떠한 관계가 있으며 그 설명력은 어떠한지를 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 유아교육기관 교사 187명을 대상으로 다문화적 효능감과 전문적 성향을 측정하였으며 수집된 자료는 Pearson 적률상관계수를 구하고 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 유아교사의 다문화적 효능감은 전문적 성향과 정적 상관관계를 나타냈다. 또한 다문화적 효능감은 전문적 성향을 예측할 수 있는 변인으로 나타났다. 바람직한 유아 다문화 교육을 위해서는 먼저 교사가 다양성에 효과적으로 대처할 수 있다는 자신감이 중요하며 이를 기초로 적절한 환경을 조성하고 교육내용 및 방법, 자료 등을 선택함으로써 보다 전문적이고 효율적인 교육적 접근이 이루어져야 함을 시사한다.
