기혼자의 자아존중감, 부부간 의사소통과 결혼만족과의 관계: 정서인식의 조절효과 = The Relationship of Self-esteem, Conjugal Communication and Marital Satisfaction of Married Persons: Moderationg Effect of Emotional Awareness

The purposes of this study were to search the relationships among marital satisfaction, self-esteem, conjugal communication and emotional awareness of married person and to verify a moderating effect of the emotional awareness in the relationships of self-esteem, conjugal communication and marital satisfaction. Additionally, the emotional difference according to sex was examined. For these purposes, self-esteem, conjugal communication, emotional awareness and marital satisfaction of 360 married couples in Daejeon and other areas were measured. The emotional awareness difference according to sex was investigated through the frequency analysis and the moderating effect was verified through the correlation analysis and structural equation. As the results of this study are as follows: first, there were a positive correlations between self-esteem, conjugal communication, emotional awareness and marital satisfaction including sub-factors. Furthermore, marital satisfaction was positively influenced by self-esteem and conjugal communication. Second, at the emotional awareness difference according to sex, men appreciated the emotion more clearly than women. Third, as the result of verifying moderating effect of emotional awareness in the relationships of self-esteem, conjugal communication, marital satisfaction, it turned out that there was different influence of self-esteem and conjugal communication to marital satisfaction along with the levels of emotional awareness. These findings suggest that along with the levels of emotional awareness, when counseling intervention about marital satisfaction, it should differ the considered point about self-esteem which is personal characteristic and conjugal communication which is couple interaction behavior factor. Moreover, it has significances as the basis of intervention for emotional awareness in couple counseling or couple therapy and conjugal communication improvement. Based on the results, implications and limitations of this study and a proposal of the follow-up study were discussed.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 기혼자를 대상으로 자아존중감과 부부간 의사소통, 정서인식, 결혼만족과의 관계를 살펴보고, 자아존중감과 부부간 의사소통, 결혼만족과의 관계에서 정서인식의 조절효과를 검증하고자 하였으며, 또한 성별에 따른 정서인식 차이를 살펴보고자 하였다. 이에 따라 대전 및 기타 지역의 기혼자 360명을 대상으로 자아존중감과, 부부간 의사소통, 정서인식, 결혼만족 수준을 측정하였고, 빈도분석을 통한 성별에 따른 정서인식 차이를 살펴보았고, 상관분석, 구조방정식을 통한 정서인식의 조절효과 검증을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과 첫째, 자아존중감과 부부간 의사소통, 정서인식, 결혼만족은 하위변인을 포함하여 모두 정적인 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 자아존중감과 부부간 의사소통은 결혼만족에 정적인 영향을 미치고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 성별에 따른 정서인식의 차이에서는 남성이 여성보다 더 정서를 명확히 인식하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 자아존중감과 부부간 의사소통, 결혼만족과의 관계에서 정서인식의 조절효과를 검증한 결과 정서인식 수준에 따라 자아존중감과 부부간 의사소통이 결혼만족에 미치는 영향이 달라지는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 정서인식 수준에 따라 결혼만족을 위해 상담적 개입에서 개인의 특성인 자아존중감과 부부간 상호작용 변인인 부부간 의사소통에 대한 고려점을 달리해야함을 시사한다. 또한 부부상담 혹은 부부치료 장면에서의 정서인식적 개입과 이를 바탕으로 부부간 의사소통을 향상시키고자 하는 개입의 근거로써의 의의를 갖는다. 이러한 결과를 중심으로 본 연구의 시사점과 제한점, 후속 연구에 관한 제언을 논의하였다.
