유아 성교육 프로그램의 구성 및 적용효과 = The Construction and Effects of a Sex Education Program for Young Children

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 유아 성교육 프로그램을 구성하고 이를 만 5세 유아에게 적용하여 그 효과를 알아보는 것이었다. 프로그램은 준비, 요구분석, 구성의 단계를 거쳤고, 이와 같은 과정을 통해 유아의 성에 대한 올바른 지식과 태도를 형성하고 이를 통해 원만한 인간관계를 형성하고 전인적인 발달을 이루는데 목적을 둔 유아 성교육 프로그램을 구성하였다. 구성된 프로그램의 적용효과를 알아보기 위해 총 15주에 걸쳐 경기도 고양시에 소재한 A유치원 만 5세 40명(실험집단 20명, 비교집단 20명)의 유아들에게 본 프로그램을 적용하였다. 실험집단의 유아들에게 주 2～3회씩 유아 성교육 프로그램을 적용하고 사전․사후 검사 자료를 분석하였다. 그 결과, 유아 성교육 프로그램은 유아의 성지식을 높이고, 성태도에 긍정적인 효과가 있었으며, 성역할 고정관념을 완화시킨 것으로 나타났다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to construct a sex education program and to examine the effect of this program after applying it to 5-year-old children. In order to achieve this purpose, research was accomplished to examine the effects of the program after performing a study. The research questions of this study were as follows: First, how should educational purpose and goals, content, teaching and learning methods and evaluation in a sex education program for children be constructed? Second, what are the effects of the application of a sex education program for young children?The program was carried out for 15 weeks from April to July, 2009. The study included 40 children (20 children in the experimental group, 20 children in the comparative group) at A kindergarten in Koyang, Gyeonggi province. For the experimental group children, the sex education program was performed twice or three times per week, but no program was given to the comparative group children.
To examine the effects of the program, a sex knowledge test, sex attitude test and sex-role stereotype test were given to the children in both the experimental group and the comparative group before and after the program started. The data was analyzed by covariance (ANCOVA) with SPSS 15.0 program.
The effects of the program are summarized as follows: First, according to the result of the sex knowledge test, the average of the experimental group's sex knowledge was higher than that of the comparative group. Second, according to the result of the sex attitude test, the average of the experimental group's sex attitude was higher than that of the comparative group. Third, according to the result of the sex-role stereotype test, the average of the experimental group's sex-role stereotypes was lower than that of the comparative group.
