동요를 활용한 이야기 다시 말하기 활동에 관한 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 동요를 활용한 이야기 다시 말하기 활동이 유아의 음악성과 언어능력에 미치는 효과를 알아보는 것을 목적으로 하였으며, J 어린이집에 재원중인 만 5세아 30명(실험집단 15명, 통제집단 15명)을 대상으로 실시되었다. 수집된 자료를 근거로 유아의 언어능력과 음악성에 대한 하위요소 및 전체 점수에 대한 평균과 표준편차를 산출하였으며, 두 집단의 사전검사 점수를 공변인으로 한 공변량분석(ANCOVA)을 실시하였다. 연구 결과를 요약하면, 첫째, 동요를 활용한 이야기 다시 말하기 활동은 유아의 음악성을 증진시켰을 뿐만 아니라, 하위영역인 음감과 리듬감에서도 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 동요를 활용한 이야기 다시 말하기 활동은 유아의 언어능력에도 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 하위영역인 어휘력, 언어이해력, 언어표현력에서도 유의한 차이를 보였다. 따라서 유아교육 현장에서 유아에게 동요를 활용하여 이야기 다시 말하기 활동으로 접근하는 것은 유아의 음악성과 언어능력의 신장에 효과적인 활동임을 확인하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The objective of this study was to examine the effects of story retelling activities using nursery rhymes to develop young children’s musicality and language abilities. The subjects of this study were 30 five?year?old children at J Childcare Center (with 15 in the experimental group, and 15 in the control group). In data analysis, means and standard deviations were calculated for the subfactors and total scores of language ability and musicality, and ANCOVA was performed using the two groups’ pretest scores as a covariate. According to the results of this study, first, the story retelling activity using nursery rhymes improved young children’s musicality and had a significant effect on the sense of sound and the sense of rhythm among the sub?factors of musicality. Second, story retelling activity using nursery rhymes had a significant effect also on young children’s language ability, and made a significant difference in vocabulary, verbal comprehension, and verbal expression among the sub?factors of language ability. Accordingly, this study confirmed that the approach to young children through story retelling activity using nursery rhymes in the field of early childhood education is effective in enhancing young children’s language ability and musicality.
