한국스포츠인류학회 20년의 성찰과 전망

이 연구의 목적은 한국스포츠인류학회 20년의 성찰과 전망을 알아보는 것이다. 한국스포츠인류학회는 2003년 9월 29일에 창립하였다. 이 학회는 체육 및 스포츠 인류학 분야의 학문적 연구와 발전을 목표로 하고있다. 학회는 정기적으로 연 2회의 학술대회를 개최하며, 연 4회의 한국연구재단 등재 학술지를 발간하여 연구 성과를 공유하고 있다. 연구 방법은 스포츠인류학연구 창간호부터 제19권 제3호까지 분석하였고, 관련문헌을 탐구하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 한국스포츠인류학회20년의 성찰은 다음과 같다. 1) 스포츠인류학의 확산과 발전, 2) 교과목으로서 스포츠인류학, 3) 전문연구자의 부족, 4) 스포츠인류학연구 등재지 선정 5) 체육학에서 학문적 위상과 역할 등이다. 학문이 발전하기 위해서는 전문학회와 전공 교수 그리고 교과목이 개설되어야 한다. 둘째, 한국스포츠인류학회의 전망은 다음과 같다. 1) 연구자의 연구역량 강화, 2) 스포츠인류학연구 KCI 등재지 유지, 3) 학술대회 2회에서 4회로 확대, 4) 아시아스포츠인류학회 참여 및 역할, 5) 전문 도서 번역과 단행본 출판 등이 필요하다. The purpose of this study is to reflect on and forecast the 20th anniversary of the Korean Society for Sports Anthropology. The research method involved analyzing issues from the inaugural issue of the Journal of Sports Anthropology to Volume 19, Issue 3, and exploring related analyses. The results are as follows: First, the reflections are as follows: 1) The academic identity for the journal, 2) University courses and sports anthropology, 3) The shortage of specialized professors and students, 4) The absence of graduate students majoring in sports anthropology, 5) The academic status and role within physical education. Second, the prospects are as follows: 1) The Journal of Sports Anthropology as a listed journal, 2) Expanding the number of academic conferences from two to four, 3) Producing specialized professors in sports anthropology, 4) Participation and roles in the Asian Society of Sports Anthropology, 5) The need for translation of specialized books and publication of monographs.

한국스포츠와 미디어권력구조에 관한 인문학적 통찰

이 연구는 한국스포츠와 미디어, 한국스포츠와 미디어권력과 그 구조에 관하여 문헌고찰방법으로 탐구하였으며, 작금의 스포츠와 미디어에관한 본질적인 논의를 하고자 하였다. 한국스포츠가 기존의 미디어와 새롭게 형성되고 있는 미디어 환경에서 양적인 성장과 질적인 발전을 위해서는 작금의 스포츠와 미디어 권력, 그리고 그 권력구조에 관한 실질적이고 본질적인 논의들이 지속적으로 이루어져야 한다고 판단된다. 스포츠와 미디어에 관한 여러 다양한 연구들은 계속해서 발생하고 있다. 이는 스포츠와 미디어 관한 주제의 연구들이 우리사회에 필요했기 때문이다. 그렇지만 그 본질에서 힘의 관계에 관한 연구들은 아직 주가 되고있지 않다. 그만큼 기존의 스포츠와 미디어권력과 그 구조들은 쉽게 변화지 않는 힘의 관계가 형성되고 구조화되었기 때문에 우리는 이 본질적인 상황들을 재정립하고 한국스포츠와 미디어의 관계가 제대로 잘 만들어갈 수 있도록 지속적인 논의와 탐구들이 요구된다. This study explored Korean sport and media, Korean sport and media power, and its structure through literature review, and tried to discuss essential issues of sport and media. In order for Korean sport to grow quantitatively and qualitatively in the existing media and the newly formed media environment, substantial and essential discussions on sport, media power, and its power structure should be made continuously. Various studies on sport and media continue to occur because studies on sport and media topics are needed in our society, but studies on the relationship of power in its essence have not yet become mainstream. Since the existing sport and media power and its structures have formed and structured a relationship of power that does not change easily, we need continuous discussions and explorations to reestablish these essential situations and to make the relationship between Korean sport and media well.

Hofstede의 문화인류학 관점에서 스포츠역할을 바탕으로 한 장애인식개선 탐색

The purpose of this study is To explore the right disability awareness education method through Diagnosis of Korean society from the perspective of Hofstede's cultural anthropology and exploring the direction of utilizing the role of sports. The research method is a literature study Using Hofstede's cultural anthropological research results and deriving through the investigation and analysis of sports-related disability awareness and personality formation data. The research results are as follows. First, Korean society shows moderate social rigidity, collectivism, femininity, and uncertainty avoidance. Hofstede's research results show that Korea's anthropological background is not a favorable environment for people with disabilities. Second, as a way to overcome the various variables of cultural anthropology, A method to improve awareness of people with disabilities centered on sports, which is the most common activity for humans, is recommended. To this end, clear goal setting based on reflective thinking, positive behavior support, and various modeling should be used. In this study, a user-centered cultural anthropological approach should be considered in activities to improve awareness of people with disabilities. It is meaningful in suggesting the need to seek multilateral methods to utilize universal sports activities. 본 연구의 목적은 올바른 장애인식교육 방법을 탐색하기 위해Hofstede의 문화인류학 관점에서 한국사회를 진단해보고, 스포츠의 역할을 활용한 장애인식개선 방향을 탐색하는데 있다. 연구방법은 문헌연구로 Hofstede의 문화인류학 연구 결과물을 활용하고, 스포츠와 관련된 장애인식 및 인성형성 자료 조사 및 분석을 통해 연구의 결과를 도출했다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 한국사회는 중간정도의 사회적 경직성과집단주의 성향, 여성성의 성향, 그리고 불확실성 회피 성향을 보임으로써 Hofstede의 조사결과로 볼 때 한국의 문화인류학 배경이 장애인에 대하여 결코 우호적인 환경은 아님을 보이고 있다. 둘째, 문화인류학의 다양한 변수를 이겨낼 수 있는 방법으로 인간에게 가장 보편적 활동인 스포츠를 중심으로 한 장애인식 개선방법이 추천된다. 이를 위해 스포츠활동에 있어 반성적 사고를 기반으로 한 명백한 목표설정, 긍정적 행동지원, 다양한 모델링이 사용되어야 한다. 본 연구는 장애인식 개선활동에서 수요자 중심의 문화인류학적 접근방식이 고려되어야 하고, 보편적 스포츠 활동을 활용하기 위한 다각적인방법 모색이 필요함을 제시했다는데 의의가 있다.

스포츠인류학의 새로운 도전

본 연구는 스포츠인류학회의 창립 20주년을 기념하며 스포츠 연구의 성과와 미래 방향성을 모색한 연구이다. 현대 스포츠 연구는 단순히 신체 활동을분석하는 데 그치지 않고 복잡한 사회적, 문화적 맥락을 포괄해야 한다. 이에 본 연구는 중용의 철학적 원칙을 바탕으로 성(誠), 도(道), 인(仁), 지(知) 의 개념을 스포츠 연구에 적용하여 인간 중심적 다양성과 조화를 강조한다. 성(誠)은 연구자가 진정성 있게 연구 대상의 경험을 반영하는 태도를 의미한다. 인(仁)은 인간 존엄성과 권리를 보호하는 윤리적 책임을 강조한다. 지(知) 는 다양한 사회적, 문화적 맥락을 지혜롭게 탐구하고 정확한 결론을 도출하는 과정이다. 이러한 덕목들이 조화를 이룰 때 스포츠 연구는 사회적 정의와형평성 증진에 기여할 수 있다. 특히 장애인 스포츠나 성차별 문제를 다루는연구는 인과 지의 균형을 통해 실질적 변화를 이끌 수 있다. 이를 통해 스포츠인류학회는 앞으로 사회적 통합과 협력을 증진하는 포괄적 학술 단체로성장할 수 있음을 논의한다.

한국전통스포츠의 용어 표현 검토

What is the position of ‘traditional sports’ in anthropology? Among them, how are the research subjects appearing in the Korean defined and what are their characteristics? These questions are one of the central topics covered by the KSSA. In addition to this, I ask the question of whether the subject of the study can be defined as a foreign language. As argued by Clifford J. Geertz, and widely accepted, culture needs to be interpreted in its local context. Then, ‘sports’, a concept in the European region, is a limited expression to interpret the culture of the Korean Peninsula. Of course, it is significant that previous researchers discovered objects that can be classified as sports in the traditional culture of the Korean. However, in the process of subscribing them, the failure to examine the definitions and expressions of those who enjoyed the original culture causes confusion in the translation. Actually ‘sports’, ‘exercise’, and ‘physical education’ are used interchangeably in the academic field of physical education in Korea. It’s a translation error based on the imported sports. This study is an attempt to restore Self-descriptive Expression of traditional sports as a solution to these errors. 인류학에서‘스포츠’는 어떤 위치에 있는가. 그중에서도 한반도에서나타난 연구대상들은 어떻게 정의되며 그 특질은 무엇인가. 이와 같은질문은 한국스포츠인류학회에서 다루는 중심 주제 중 하나이다. 본 연구자는 이에 더불어 그 연구대상은 ‘외래의 언어로 규정될 수 있는 것인가’ 하는 질문을 하고자 한다. 프란츠 보아츠Franz Boas가 주장하여 널리 받아들여진 바와 같이, 문화는 현지의 특수한 맥락에서 해석될 필요가 있다. 그렇다면 유럽권역의 개념인 ‘스포츠’는 한반도의 문화를 해석하기에는 제한적인 표현이다. 물론, 선행연구자들이 한반도의 전통문화에서 스포츠로 분류할 수 있는 대상을 발견한 것은 유의미하다. 그러나 그것을 포섭하는 과정에서 원래 문화를 향유했던 사람들의 정의와표현을 살피지 못한 것이 번역에 혼동을 주고 있다. 실제로 한국체육학계에서는 스포츠와 운동, 체육을 혼용하여 사용하고 있다. 유입된 스포츠를 기준으로 하여 발생한 번역오류이다. 본 연구는 이러한 오류에 대한타개책으로 전통스포츠에 대한 자생적 표현을 복원해보려는 시도이다.

해방 직후 『자유신문』에서 드러난서울지역의 스포츠 활동과 의미

그간 해방공간에 대한 연구는, 주로 정치적, 경제적 관점에 입각하여 진행되었다. 같은 시기 스포츠에 대한 연구도 특정인이나, 특정단체에 대한 연구에 국한되었다. 본 논문은 사각지대에 있었던 해방 직후(1945년~1946년) 서울지역의 스포츠 활동과 의미를 연구하였다. 자유신문 기사를 기준으로, 해방 직후 서울에서는 총 209건의 스포츠 경기가 개최되었다. 이 가운데 다른 종목들에 비해서, 전통성, 편의성, 대중성, 다양성에서 장점이 있는 야구, 농구, 축구, 육상이 큰 비중을 차지하였다. 해방 직후 서울에서 스포츠 경기가 활발하게 개최된 이유는 다음의 다양한 요소가 결합되었기 때문으로 추정된다. 첫째, 스포츠 경기에 대한 서울시민의 관심이 남달랐다. 둘째, 스포츠 경기에 참여하고자 하는 선수들의 의지가 있었다. 셋째, 스포츠 경기로민족주의를 강화하려는 사회 지도층의 움직임이 있었다. 넷째, 서울시민의정치적, 경제적 관심을 스포츠로 전환하려는 미군정의 의도가 있었다. 즉, 해방 직후 서울에서 개최된 스포츠 경기는 이러한 다양한 의미를 가지고 있었다.

세대문화 안에서 e스포츠의 함의

The purpose of this article is to examine the possibility of eSports culture within the changing patterns of generational culture that exist in the formation process of eSports in Korean society. As a research method for this purpose, two aspects of generational culture conflict and reconciliation will be examined, focusing on transcripts of in-depth interviews with middle and high school students, college students, and parents in the previous studies. In addition, in order to rediscover the changing perception of games and eSports, the necessity of eSports culture research is emphasized by using related articles, video data, and in-depth interview quotes. The passion for eSports and the growth of the game generation have the sustainability of eSports culture and the potential as a future culture for all generations. This is a task of our time that forms a place where the spirit of sports can be realized from everyday eSports to professional eSports, and it will be the basis for everyone to share the ethical value of good influence in the online virtual space through enjoyable play experiences and propagation. 이 글의 목적은 한국사회에서 e스포츠의 형성과정 안에서 존재하고 있는 공통점과 세대문화의 갈등과 화해의 측면을 살펴보고 현재 게임 및 e스포츠의 인식변화 양상을 통해 향후의 과제를 진단하는 데에 있다. 이러한 목적을 위한 연구방법으로는 K대학교 e스포츠연구소에서 진행되어왔던 중, 고등학생, 대학생, 학부모와의 심층인터뷰 녹취록 자료와 관련선행연구들을 중심으로 그 특징들을 분석하고 현재 변화하고 있는 게임 및 e스포츠에 대한 인식을 재발견하기 위하여 관련 기사 및 영상자료, 심층인터뷰 인용문 등을 활용하여 e스포츠 문화연구의 필요성을 강조하였다. e스포츠의 열풍과 게임세대의 성장은 e스포츠문화의 지속가능성과 디지털 시대의 미래문화로서의 가능성을 갖는다. 일상적인 생활e스포츠로부터 전문e스포츠의 영역에까지 스포츠 정신이 실현될 수 있는 장(場)을 형성해주는 것은 우리 시대의 과제이다. 또한 e스포츠 경기를 하는 사람과 보는 사람들 모두가 즐거운 플레이 경험과 전파를 통해서 온라인 가상공간 안에서도 선한 영향력의 윤리적 가치를 공유할 수 있는 기반이 될 것이다.
