대기오염과 병충해발생과의 관계를 규명하고자 은행나무에 SO₂가스를 처리한 후, 잎끝마름병균을 접종하여 식물의 생리·생화학적인 변화를 조사하였다. 0.1㎕/ℓ의 SO₂가스를 하루 8시간씩 7일간 은행나무에 처리한 결과 Chlorosis등의 가시피해는 나타나지 않았으나, 광합성이 대조구에 비해 40%가량 감소되고, CO₂이용효율과 수분이용효율이 감소되는 현상을 보였다. 가스처리 후 병원균을 상처접종시키고 42일 뒤 SI와 SFI의 발병도를 조사한 결과 SI가 SFI에 비해 3배 가량 빠르게 병이 진전되어 있었다. 병원균의 먹이가 되는 당의 함량은 대조구, SFI, SI간에 유의성을 보일 만큼의 차이는 보이지 않았으나, 광합성은 SI가 SFI에 비해 11%가량 저하되었다. 광합성이 저하되었음에도 불구하고 당의 함량이 유지되었으므로 탄소 고정관계를 알아본 결과 CO₂ 이용효율이 저하되지 않았음을 알 수 있었다. 이와 함께 수분이용효율이 SI에서 SFI에 비해 13.2% 증가되었다. 이상의 결과를 종합해 보면, 이온유출량 등으로 보아 SO₂가스처리로 인해 식물이 연약해져 병원균에 대한 저항력이 낮아졌고, 수분이용효율의 증가로 인해 탄소 고정이 활발하게 이루어짐으로써 당이 원활히 합성되는 한편 내부적인 변화로 인해 합성된 당의 전류가 억제되어 잎에 당이 축적되었기 때문에 SI의 발병도가 훨씬 높았던 것으로 생각된다. To examine the relationship between air pollution and occurrence of disease in plants, we investigated the alteration of physiology and biochemistry of Ginkgo biloba by inoculating with Coniothyrium sp. and fumigating with 0.1㎕/ℓSO_(-2) Visual damage did not appear but photosynthesis, CO₂use efficiency(CUE) and water use efficiency(WUE) were reduced when G. biloba was exposed to SO₂for 7days (8 hours a day). When inoculated with Coniothyrium sp., the seventies of damage in G. biloba showed a threefold difference between SO₂-treatment (SI) and SO₂-free treatment (SFI) at day 42 from initial inoculation. Little difference was observed in sugar contents that may be used pathogens feed, among control, SFI and SI. In spite of the reduction in photosynthetic rate, sugar contents and CUE were maintained. WUE was enhanced 13% more at SI than SFI. The CO₂fixation boosted because of enhanced WUE, and thus sugar synthesis was not affected. In addition, sugar transport seems to be retarded for some internal alteration. Consequently, the severity of SI was more serious than that of SFI because Coniothyrium sp. easily invades into the physical texture of G. biloba weakened by SO₂fumigation and because sugar was accumulated in leaves of G. biloba.
Radiotherapy diagnostic biomarkers in radioresistant human H460 lung cancer stem-like cells

<P><B>ABSTRACT</B></P><P>Tumor cell radioresistance is a major contributor to radiotherapy failure, highlighting the importance of identifying predictive biomarkers for radioresistance. In this work, we established a radioresistant H460 (RR-H460) cell line from parental radiosensitive H460 lung cancer cells by exposure to fractionated radiation. The radiation-resistant, anti-apoptotic phenotype of RR-H460 cell lines was confirmed by their enhanced clonogenic survival and increased expression of the radioresistance genes Hsp90 and Her-3. RR-H460 cells displayed characteristics of cancer stem-like cells (CSCs), including induction of the surface marker CD44 and stem cell markers Nanog, Oct4, and Sox2. RR-H460 cells also exhibited sphere formation and malignant behavior, further supporting a CSC phenotype. Using proteomic analyses, we identified 8 proteins that were up-regulated in RR-H460 CSC lines and therefore potentially involved in radioresistance and CSC-related biological processes. Notably, 4 of these—PAI-2, NOMO2, KLC4, and PLOD3—have not been previously linked to radioresistance. Depletion of these individual genes sensitized RR-H460 cells to radiotoxicity and additively enhancing radiation-induced apoptosis. Our findings suggest the possibility of integrating molecular targeted therapy with radiotherapy as a strategy for resolving the radioresistance of lung tumors.</P>

Acute oral, intramuscluar, and intravenous toxicity studies of recombinant human interferon $\alpha$2$\alpha$(rhIFN $\alpha$2$\alpha$) were performed in Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats. SD rats were administered with doses of 31.25, 62.5, 125, 250 and 500 MIU/kg, respectively, and clinical signs, mortality and body weight changes were observed for 2 weeks. In all animals administered with rhIFN $\alpha$2$\alpha$, there was neither dead animals nor significant changes of body weights. In addition, no differences were found between control and treated groups in clinical signs and autopsy findings. Therefore, $LD_{50}$ of rhIFN $\alpha$2$\alpha$ was considered to be higher than 500 MIU/kg in SD rats.

Purpose: The European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer quality of life (QOL) questionnaires (QLQ-C30, QLQ-OG25, and QLQ-STO22) are widely used for the assessment of gastric cancer patients. This study aimed to use these questionnaires to evaluate QOL in postgastrectomy patients. Methods: We prospectively evaluated 106 patients with distal gastrectomy (DG), 57 with pylorus-preserving gastrectomy (PPG), and 117 with total gastrectomy (TG). Body weight and QOL questionnaires were evaluated preoperatively and postoperatively (at 3 weeks, and 3, 6, and 12 months). Results: TG patients had significantly more weight loss than DG/PPG patients. Compared with DG, patients after PPG had less dyspnea (P = 0.008) and trouble with coughing (P = 0.049), but more severe symptoms of insomnia (P = 0.037) and reflux (P = 0.030) at postoperative 12 months. Compared with DG/PPG, TG was associated with worse body image, dysphagia, eating, and taste in both OG25 and STO22. Moreover, OG25 revealed worse QOL in the TG group with respect to odynophagia, eating with others, choked when swallowing, trouble talking, and weight loss. The QOL of patients who received chemotherapy was worse than those in the chemo-free group in both physical functioning and symptoms such as nausea/vomiting, appetite loss, and trouble with taste; however, these side effects would soon disappear after finishing chemotherapy. Conclusion: PPG was similar to DG in terms of postoperative QOL and maintaining body weight, while TG was always inferior to both DG and PPG. Adjuvant chemotherapy can affect both body weight and QOL despite being reversible.

In software, the function and usability of the product are the top priority but the quality of the software including all of these factors is the most important factor in the life cycle of the software. Especially, the software market has grown explosively since 2002 when system intelligence has been launched in earnest, and will become a bigger market after 2020 when the fourth industrial revolution is expected to start. The use of such software will be even higher in the Fourth Industrial Revolution and it will surely be the determining factor for the completion of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Therefore, increasing the quality capability of software has become a pending issue in industry not just software. Unlike the emphasis on the importance of software, building a systematic software quality management system and a quantitative software development management system is delayed due to cost problems. Also, the perception of system users` quality of software is not analyzed accurately. In this paper, we analyze the quality characteristics of software and propose improvement of quality capability of software by comparing and analyzing cases of improving quality competitiveness of domestic and foreign companies.

본 논문에서는 유리수 상에서의 RSA공개Key 암호방식을 2차체 상에서의 RSA공개Key 암호방식으로 확장한 새로운 공개Key 암호방식을 제안하여 구체적인 예를 들어 확인하고, 그 타당성을 증명하였다. 이 암호방식은 2차체 상에서 서로 상이한 소(prime) ideal [p, q]을 선택하여 암호화 Key와 복호화Key를 구하고, 이것을 사용하여 암호화 및 복호화를 수행하므로써, 공개Key 암호계구성의 근본이 되는 파라메터 p, q의 선택폭을 넓혔다. In this paper, we propose a new method for constructing the Public-key Cryptosystem which is extended the RSA cryptosystem over quadratic field, and verify the new Public-key Cryptosystem with some examples. For our method, we select each different prime ideals [p, q] over quadratic field, and using this result, the encryption key and the decryption key are made. So a number of pameters p.q which we can select is increased.
