Inflammatory pseudotumor is a benign disease, which is histologically composed of the?inflammatory cells such as mature lymphocytes, plasma cells, and histiocytes. It usually occurs in the respiratory system, liver, central nervous system, and gastrointestinal tracts. However, inflammatory pseudotumor rarely occurs in the spleen. Pathologic diagnosis is essential for the definitive diagnosis because of the difficulty in distinguishing pseudotumor from lymphoproliferative disorders of the spleen. We report a case of inflammatory pseudotumor of the spleen. A 35-year-old woman complained of the intermittent epigastric pain for several months. Physical examination and laboratory findings were normal. Ultrasonography and abdominal computerized tomography showed a low attenuation splenic mass suggesting lymphoma. However, the pathologic findings of the resected spleen were consistent with those of the inflammatory pseudotumor. The spleen weighed 230 g containing a 6×5×5 cm-sized, well-circumscribed gray mass. The microscopic findings indicated the inflammatory cell infiltrations. (Korean J Gastroenterol 2003;42:168-171)

This study examined the spatiotemporal distribution of demersal fish aggregations in the Northern East China Sea by conducting a trawl survey with hydroacoustic devices. A bottom trawl was used for this survey and fish density was determined from the catch data. Acoustic data were collected at frequencies of 38 and 200 kHz from November to December 2014 and converted into the nautical area scattering coefficient (NASC, m2/n.mile2). In the catch data analysis, the range of catch per unit area by station was 26-8,055 kg/km2 and for the acoustic data, that of the NASC was 0.45-34.80 m2/n·mile2. The values were significantly correlated. The combined results of both surveys found that the density was highest at St. 5 (33° 10.3´, 126° 23.3´) and lowest at St. 8 (33° 20.7´, 127° 36.3´). The application of hydroacoustic methods offers a new approach for estimating the biomass of demersal fish aggregations.

Zinc oxide (ZnO) is a commonly used electron transport layer in quantum-dot light-emitting diodes (QLEDs). In this study, we used a highly conductive ZnO film via a low-temperature process to improve the electron transport behavior of the QLEDs. The electron transport behavior of ZnO film was investigated from the electron only device, and the origin of high conductivity was figured out using x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. We found that the oxygen vacancy, which can improve the carrier transport in ZnO film, was increased according to reduce the process temperature of ZnO. Meanwhile, the hydroxyl group, which contribute to the quenching effect, was decreased according to reduce the process temperature of ZnO. Therefore, high-performance QLEDs were fabricated using the low-temperature processed ZnO, and it showed an improved luminance and current efficiency in a full current range. The maximum luminance and current efficiency of the devices were measured as 65,391 Cd/m2 and 2.48 Cd/A, respectively. Moreover, the lifetime of the device was improved due to the low-temperature process. Therefore, we suggest that a highly conductive ZnO film could be formed through a lowtemperature process, and it can improve the performance of QLEDs.
