A series of studies have supported the significant and positive relationships between surrounding built environments and physical activities. In addition, it is quite clear that vigorous physical activities generally lead to good health outcomes. Usually, good health is considered as the result of active living, such as daily walking and bicycling. Therefore, favorable, walkable, and bikable built environments near residential areas could initiate dynamic and diverse physical activities, resulting in good health outcomes. Although the physical environments around residential areas may have similar conditions, people may differently recognize the surrounding environments depending on the individual’s subjective assessment. Therefore, it is necessary to investigate the relative importance between the perception of environments and physical circumstances with regard to self-rated health. The purpose of this study is to identify the impacts of environmental perception and actual physical environments on self-rated health. An integrated dataset of environmental perception and built environment characteristics and self-rated health was developed for a survey sample of residential locations (n = 543) in the city of Columbus, OH, USA. Perceived walkable destinations around the home are significantly and positively associated with good health evaluations. In contrast, physical environments do not obtain a statistical significance.

In terms of the speed performance in feline galloping, relative spinal motion is observed as a key role to increase the locomotion speed. In order to prove this, a domestic cat was observed to investigate galloping gait patterns of the feline. Based on the measurement of the dynamic behavior of a domestic cat, we observed a significant increase in speed through correlated angular rate changes of spinal segments. To support the motion into a quadruped system, the hindlimb stance phase was analyzed using a 2 dimensional planar dynamic model to verify that the external torque generated by spinal motion plays an important role in increasing the ground reaction force in the direction of movement. To verify the analysis, the dynamic simulation demonstrating the hindlimb stance was applied with 3 parameter variations: time, phase and the amplitude of the fitted relative angular velocity profile.
The Movement of Non-Focused Relative Clauses
Youngkook Kim 경희대학교 언어정보연구소 2010 언어연구 Vol.27 No.2
The relative clauses are base-generated within the scope of determiner, namely, [Spec,AgrP] and the non-focused (nonrestrictive) relative clauses further move out of the scope of determiner (pre-determiner position), or [Spec,DP] to receive a proper interpretation. The restrictive relative clauses remain in their original position without any movement in syntax or at LF, irrespectively of whether they are Korean or English. On the other hand, the movement of non-focused relative clauses occurs syntactically in Korean and it happens in LF in English. The restrictive relative clauses check their focus feature in [Spec,AgrP], or inside of the scope of determiner, and the non-focused (nonrestrictive) relative clauses check their non-focus (TOPIC) feature in [Spec,DP], regardless of whether they are English or Korean. The difference between English and Korean is whether the non-focused (non-restrictive) relative clauses check their features in syntax or at LF. The non-focused (non-restrictive) relative clause in Korean checks in syntax while in English at LF.
RNA Therapy: Current Status and Future Potential
Young-Kook KIM 한국생물공학회 2021 한국생물공학회 학술대회 Vol.2021 No.10
Recent studies identified diverse RNAs including noncoding RNAs and their various action mechanisms in the cells. These RNAs regulate a variety of cellular pathways and are therefore expected to be important targets for the treatment of human diseases. Along with their extensive functional studies, RNA-based therapeutic techniques have developed considerably in recent years. After years of research and various trial and error, antisense RNAs and small interfering RNAs-based drugs have been developed and are now being used in the clinic. In addition, active research is ongoing to develop drugs based on RNA aptamer and messenger RNA. Along with the development of these RNA-based drugs, diverse strategies have been developed to transport RNA drugs into the cells efficiently. Especially, the recent epidemic of coronavirus disease and the successful development of RNA vaccine greatly increased the interest in RNA-based drugs. RNA therapy has many advantages over existing small molecule or monoclonal antibody-based therapies, including its potential to target all genes in the cells. In this presentation, I will introduce the basic concepts of RNA therapy, the working mechanism of RNA-based drugs on the market or clinical trials, and the potential of RNA therapy will be discussed.
Diverse roles of noncoding RNAs in vascular calcification
Young-Kook Kim,Hyun Kook 대한약학회 2019 Archives of Pharmacal Research Vol.42 No.3
Vascular calcification occurs when calcium phosphate crystals are abnormally deposited in the vessel walls, thus hardening and narrowing the arteries. This condition is commonly observed in patients with diseases such as atherosclerosis, chronic kidney disease, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases. Despite many studies being conducted, the molecular mechanism involved in vascular calcification is unknown. From recent studies, it is clear that several types of noncoding RNAs are involved in human diseases. It has also been shown that the noncoding RNAs, including microRNAs, long noncoding RNAs, and circular RNAs, are involved in the progression of vascular calcification. With the development of therapeutic approaches based on the manipulation of noncoding RNAs, it is speculated that the modulation of these molecules could be another strategy to treat vascular calcification in the future. In this review, we summarize the roles of various noncoding RNAs in vascular calcification and the technologies to modulate the noncoding RNAs for therapeutic purpose.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of spine rehabilitation exercise using resistance exercise to regulate contraction and relax and stretching gymnastics to develop flexibility, and was to help to carry on healthy life studying formation of a spine, and finding elevation methods of lumbar function. The subjects were scoliosis patients. First of all, the spine scoliosis was examined using computer physical frame system in sorting students. And, the subject, 50 spine scoliosis patients, were decided to participate in this experiment. The subject were trained 12 week spine rehabilitation exercise and stretching exercise, and were measured to correction effect and ability of spine. The Metrecom was used to analyze correction effect and the Medx was used to analyze ability of spine. The spine scoliosis of juveniles have increasingly become one of the most common topics in sport prescription. At this point of time, through rehabilitation exercise and stretching exercise, scoliosis angle associated with scoliosis patients and extension strength of lumbar was been improving. The program used a spine rehabilitation exercise and stretching exercise should be helped spine functions, and reached a conclusion to get good result with a prevention and medical treatment about scoliosis patients.
