The dynamic characteristics and mass transfer effects in Para-type plate pulsed column was investigated. The axial dispersion coefficient of continuous phase was constant in the range above that continuous phase flow rate was 200ml/min, and was more influnced by amplitude than by frequency. The hold-up of continuous phase was more influnced by amplitude and saunter mean diameter was more influnced by frequency. As the experimental results of acetone extraction, the column efficiency was slightly decreased with the pulse velocity increased, but was stabilized in the range of 80~90%. The acetone concentration profiles with the change of column height at steady state more approached to the backflow model than the diffusion model.

A Study on the extraction of uranium(VI) was perfomed through an immobilized liquid membrane containing D₂EHPA carrier. Hydrogen ion concentration was the most predominant factor in the extraction of uranium(VI) and the extraction efficiency reached the maximum value when pH's of the feed and product solution were 2.5 and 1.0 respectively. Another operation conditions were feed and carrier concentration. The flux was reached a limiting value at feed uranium(VI) concentrations higher than 200mg/ℓand was decreased with more 15 vol% carrier concentration.
Pb(SCN)₂-KClO₃-Sb₂S₃-TNT 혼합물의 연소에 관한 연구

The study on the combustion of the Pb(SCN)₂-KCIO₃-Sb₂S₃TNT mixtures are performed with the changes of several operational factors, and its results are as follows; In the drying method, as the increase of the inserting of binders, the impact sensitivity is decreased when the weight of the drop ball is higher, and F, S and ?? of the non-binding mixtures are satisfactory. In the wet method, the squib of mixtures are founded and F, S and ?? are less satisfactory than drying methods, but the impact sensitivity are more satisfactory than drying method. In the measurement of the explosion-delay time of mixtures, the mixtures in drying method are more uniform composition than that in wet method.

The mass transfer characteristics of para-type plate pulse column were studied in Toluene-Acetone-Water system. The mass transfer effects in this column were investigated by the changes of the amplitude, frequency and each phase velocity, and the overall volumetric mass transfer coefficient was correlated as follow: Koc·a = 0.02595 A¹????f¹??³????³U??????⁴?????? This result coincided with the Higbie's penetration theory. The efficiency of this column was decreased with the increase of pulse velocity, and was 70-95% in the range of 30-90 cm/min of the pulse velocity. The acetone concentration profile at the steady state was coincident with the diffusion model and the back flow model within the relative error range of 0.15.

The extraction of uranium(VI) through a W/O/W liquid membrane containing DEHPA was studied in the counter transport system. The optimum stable conditions of W/O emulsion were determined; the optimum concentrations of surfactant span 80 and paraffine oil were 2 Vol.% and 50 Vol.%, respectively. The extraction results showed that more than 95% of uranium(VI) was extracted during 10 minutes when the carrier concentration was 4 Vol.%, internal aqueous phase; 1N-H₂SO₄solution, external aqueous phase; pH 2 and mixing speed; 350 rpm.

The aging properties of cellular plastic insulations(EPS,PUF and UFF) were investigated by varying temperature, relative humidity and time. The time aging properties were changed with in 10 - 12% of initial properties at high temperature(above 318K) and relative humidity (above 90%). The amount of HCHO gas release from UFF was increased as temperature and relative humidity increased, and HCHO release rate was decreased exponentially with time.

In this study, we designed the microfluidic device system based on the separation membrane for generating monodisperse emulsion droplets with diameters ranging from hundreds of nanometers to several micrometers. To generate fine droplets, T-junction and flow-focusing geometry are integrated into the microfluidic channel. Also put the membrane into the microfluidic device to make droplets effectively. PDMS devices can be easily, quickly, and inexpensively fabricated with superb resolution. However, PDMS devices are swelled other organic solvent. So we could produce droplets using fluorocarbon oil. The droplet size was controlled by adjusting the flow ratio between continuous phase flow and dispersed phase flow and also membrane pore size
막유화법에 의한 알지네이트 Microsphere의 제조

SPG (Shirasu porous glass) 관형 막이 설치된 회분식 막유화 장치를 사용하여 단분산 칼슘 알지네이트 미립자를 제조하기 위한 막유화 공정변수의 최적조건을 결정하였다. 막유화의 공정변수로는 연속상에 대한 분산상의 비율, 알지네이트 농도, 유화제의 종류와 농도, 안정제 농도, 가교제 농도, 교반속도, 막간 압력차 및 SPG 막의 세공크기로 설정하고, 이들 변수가 제조된 알지네이트 미립자의 입자 크기와 분포에 미치는 영향을 검토하였다. 막유화의 공정변수들 중에서 연속상에 대한 분산상의 비율, 막간 압력차 그리고 알지네이트 농도가 증가할수록 미립자의 크기가 증가하였다. 반면 유화제의 농도, 교반속도 그리고 가교제의 농도가 증가할수록 미립자의 크기가 감소하였다. 세공 크기 2.9mum인 SPG막을 사용한 경우 막유화의 공정변수 조절을 통해 최종적으로 평균 입자 크기 6mum, 크기 분산도 1.1인 단분산 알지네이트 미립자의 제조가 가능하였다. We prepared monodispersed calcium alginate microspheres by controlling various conditions of emulsification procedure using a lab-scale batch type membrane emulsification system equipped with SPG (Shirasu porous glass) tubular membranes. We determined the effects of process parameters of membrane emulsification (ratio of dispersed phase to continuous phase, alginate concentration, emulsifier concentration, type and concentration of stabilizer, transmembrane pressure, concentration of crosslinking agent, stirring speed and membrane pore size) on the mean size and size distribution of alginate microspheres. The increase of the ratio of dispersed phase to continuous phase, transmembrane pressure and alginate concentration led to the increase in the mean size of alginate microspheres. On the contrary, the increase in emulsifier concentration, stirring speed of the continuous phase and concentration of the crosslinking agent caused the reduction of the mean size of microspheres. Through controlling these parameters, monodisperse alginate microspheres with about 6mum of the mean size and 1.1 of the size distribution value were finally prepared in case of the using SPC membrane with the pore size of 2.9mum.
