Aims: HCC patients with portal vein tumor thrombosis (PVTT) are classified into Barcelona clinic liver cancer (BCLC) stage C and have an extremely poor prognosis. The aim of the present study: To analyzed the long-term results of our series of patients with Vp3, 4 and try to find out the risk factors which can prognostic overall survival. Methods: From January 2003 to December 2014, a total of 810 cases of HCC were operated in our department. Among them, 52 cases were Vp3, 4 (6.4%). Six cases were excluded: Two cases of salvage liver transplantation, three cases of re-resection and one case of PVTT combined with IVC thrombosis. Finally, 46 cases with PVTT (Vp3, 4) were enrolled in the present study. The cutoff values of continues variables were decided by receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis. Univariate and multivariate regression analysis were performed to identify prognostic factors of overall survival. Results: The median survival time was 8 months in the present study. Most of the patients preserve the good liver function (child-Pugh stage A, 44/46) The 1-, 3-, and 5-year overall survival rated of all the Vp3, 4 patients in the present study were 52.4%, 32.7% and 26.2%, respectively. There were 16 cases (34.8%) suffered from PVTT recurrence after operation. The tumor size more than 6.5cm and postoperative PVTT recurrence were found to be independent risk factors for overall survival in multivariate regression analysis. Conclusions: In selected patients, surgical treatment can achieve a relatively good outcome with 1-year survival rate of 52.4%. Tumor size was an independent prognostic factor for overall survival for HCC patient with Vp3, 4. Postoperative PVTT is another risk factor for overall survival and the HCC patients with PVTT should be strictly monitored for PVTT recurrence after operation.

Pitting corrosion commonly shaped in hull structure due to marine corrosive environment seriously causes the deterioration of structural performance. This paper deals with the ultimate strength behaviors of stiffened ship panels damaged by the pits subjected to uniaxial compression. A series of no-linear finite element analyses are carried out for three stiffened panels using ABAQUS software. Influences of the investigated typical parameters of pit degree (DOP), depth, location and distribution on the ultimate strength strength are discussed in detail. It is found that the ultimate strength is significantly reduced with increasing the DOP and pit depth and severely affected by the distribution. In addition, the pits including their distributions on the web have a slight effect on the ultimate strength. Compared with regular distribution, random one on the panel result in a change of collapse mode. Finally, an empirical formula as a function of corrosion volume loss is proposed for predicting the ultimate strength of stiffened panel.

By utilizing dynamic event-triggered control strategy, this paper deals with consensus problem of a class of heterogeneous leader-following multi-agent systems(MASs) consisting of a high-dimensional leader system but low-dimensional following systems. A kind of observer-based consensus controllers is put forward with a dynamic event-triggered function consisting of the measurement error and a threshold based on the neighbors’ discrete states to reduce unnecessary utilization of limited communication and computation resources. Meanwhile, a dynamic variable is used to generate the event-triggered law using Input-to-State Stability(ISS) criteria. Based on this criteria, the proposed control strategy ensures stability of MASs, which fully reflects of the relationship between the external control inputs of the following systems and the internal states of the leader system and fully considered the influence of disturbances or noises on the MASs. Furthermore, the Zeno behavior for triggering time sequence is excluded. At last, a numerical simulation is provided to demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the theoretical results.

The mixed planting, as one of the diversification strategies, provides the substitute for many costly inputs, such as fertilizers, pesticides, imported pollinators and irrigation. However, the lack of the farming technology and the expansion of the farming scale have resulted in extremely mismatch between desired yield and manpower. This paper considers groups of agents orderly moving into precise regions, which is suitable for simultaneously planting of different crops. The hierarchical containment control strategy with group-aggregation behavior is proposed under the transformed three-layer topology. Particularly, the dynamic hierarchical containment control protocol is designed such that a novel group-aggregation cooperation in the convex hull can be achieved. A new coupling strength coefficient based on the transformed three-layer topology is defined in the proposed control protocol. Finally, two examples are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed dynamic hierarchical containment control protocol for agricultural settings.
