The study investigates Environmental Accounting Information (EAI) as well as factors affecting the environmental accounting implementation by the construction firms listed on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HOSE), Vietnam. After eliminating seven enterprises that lacked data, the authors selected a sample of 112 observations from 28 construction businesses listed on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange in the period 2015-2018. This study uses research data extracted from the companies' annual reports. Then, the data are analyzed by Stata 13 software, including descriptive statistics, correlation coefficient analysis, regression analysis of table data using estimation methods (Pooled OLS, REM, FEM), and testing of model defects (heteroskedasticity test, multicollinearity test, autocorrelation test). The results show that construction companies listed on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange have out factors affecting the environmental accounting implementation by these enterprises, including independent audit firm and listed time. While the independent auditor firm has a positive and significant impact, the listed time has a negative influence. In addition, our study has confirmed the role of institutional factors affecting the disclosure level of EAI on the implementation of environmental accounting by construction enterprises listed on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange.

Political discourse is a representation of formal communication. In this form of communication, linguistic rhetorical devices are highly recommended due to their effectiveness in expressing the user’s pragmatic purposes. Among the variety of rhetorical devices, metaphor emerges as one of persuasive devices that is deployed by a great number of politicians. This study is an analysis of metaphor employed in the two inaugural speeches of President Barack Obama and President Donald Trump. By adopting Conceptual metaphor theory and Blending theory, this study demonstrates an in-depth analysis of how metaphor works in this context. The findings show that metaphor can be a tool to reflect the politician’s belief, orientation, idealism, and political targets. With his background as a law professor, Barack Obama tends to employ source domains expressing his idealism of peace, liberty, human’s right and equality. In contrast, as a very successful businessperson, Donald Trump prefers to use metaphors to emphasize the idealism of capitalism, competition, possession, and profit-making. This study can be considered an exemplar for further study on metaphor in political discourse.
A Real-time Implementation of Object Tracking Algorithms Fusion for Thermal Imaging Sequences

Object tracking is a widely used algorithm in image processing. When tracking objects on thermal images, however, issues, such as changes in size, temporary occlusion, lack of prominent features, and active thermal noise, are frequently encountered. This article proposes using Multi- Processor System on Chip (MPSoC) technology to implement new tracking algorithms on programmable hardware platforms to increase the computational speed. This real-time algorithm will combine the superiority of existing object tracking algorithms, such as Camshift, Kalman, and Optical Flow, to overcome the difficulties mentioned above.

A two-step process was investigated for pretreatment and fractionation of rice straw. The two-step fractionation process involves first, soaking rice straw in aqueous ammonia (SAA) in a batch reactor to recover lignin-rich hydrolysate. This is followed by a second-step treatment in a fixed-bed flow-through column reactor to recover xylooligomer-rich hydrolysate. The remaining glucan-rich solid cake is then subjected to an enzymatic process. In the first variant, SAA treatment in the first step dissolves lignin at moderate temperature (60 and 80 oC), while in the second step, hot-water treatment is used for xylan removal at higher temperatures (150~210 oC). Under optimal conditions (190 oC reaction temperature, 30 min reaction time, 5.0 ml/min flow rate, and 2.3 MPa reaction pressure), the SAA-hot-water fractionation removed 79.2% of the lignin and 63.4% of the xylan. In the second variant, SAA was followed by treatment with dilute sulfuric acid. With this process, optimal treatment conditions for effective fractionation of xylo-oligomer were found to be 80 oC, 12 h reaction time, solid-to-liquid ratio of 1:12 in the first step; and 5.0 ml H2SO4/min, 170 oC, and 2.3 MPa in the second step. After this two-step fractionation process, 85.4% lignin removal and 78.9% xylan removal (26.8% xylan recovery) were achieved. Use of the optimized second variant of the two-step fractionation process (SAA and H2SO4) resulted in enhanced enzymatic digestibility of the treated solid (99% glucan digestibility) with 15 FPU (filter paper unit) of CTec2 (cellulase)/g-glucan of enzyme loading, which was higher than 92% in the twostep fractionation process (SAA and hot-water).

There are recently some advances in solving numerically topology optimization problems for large-scaled trusses based on ground structure approach. A disadvantage of this approach is that the final design usually includes many bars, which is difficult to be produced in practice. One of efficient tools is a so-called filter scheme for the ground structure to reduce this difficulty and determine several distinct bars. In detail, this technique is valuable for practical uses because unnecessary bars are filtered out from the ground structure to obtain a well-defined structure during the topology optimization process, while it still guarantees the global equilibrium condition. This process, however, leads to a singular system of equilibrium equations. In this case, the minimization of least squares with Tikhonov regularization is adopted. In this paper, a proposed algorithm in controlling optimal Tikhonov parameter is considered in combination with the filter scheme due to its crucial role in obtaining solution to remove numerical singularity and saving computational time by using sparse matrix, which means that the discrete optimal topology solutions depend on choosing the Tikhonov parameter efficiently. Several numerical examples are investigated to demonstrate the efficiency of the filter parameter control algorithm in terms of the large-scaled optimal topology designs.
