Polylogarithms and Subordination of Some Cubic Polynomials

Manju Yadav,Sushma Gupta,Sukhjit Singh 경북대학교 자연과학대학 수학과 2024 Kyungpook mathematical journal Vol.64 No.1

Let V3(z, f) and σ^(1)3(z, f) be the cubic polynomials representing, respectively, the 3rd de la Vall´ee Poussin mean and the 3rd Ces`aro mean of order 1 of a power series f(z). If K denotes the usual class of convex univalent functions in the open unit disk centered at the origin, we show that, in general, V3(z, f) /< σ^(1)3(z, f), for all f ∈ K. Making use of polylogarithms, we identify a transformation, Λ : K → K , such that V3(z, Λ(f))< σ^(1)3(z, Λ(f)) for all f ∈ K . Here ‘<’ stands for subordination between two analytic functions.

      • Is Higher Education A Potential Means of Promoting Labour Mobility?

Banerjee Minali,Singh Manju ASCONS 2018 INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF EMERGING MULTIDISCIPLINAR Vol.2 No.1

The Article supports the hypothesis that in the Globalised era, a country can develop by globalising its workforce. India is having the youngest population in the world and is continuously facing the challenge of educating its young population and preparing them to meet the Global competition. Its struggle to provide employment to its increasing workforce can be resolved by providing efficient education which will increase inter- regional and international student mobility and as a result will make the workforce more Globalised. Therefore the Article shows a strong positive relation between Education (preferably Higher Education), Student mobility and labour mobility and concludes that an increase in one of these factor results in an increase in the other two.

Evaluation of Traumatic Spine by Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Correlation with Neurological Recovery

        Sarita Magu,Deepak Singh,Rohtas Kanwar Yadav,Manju Bala 대한척추외과학회 2015 Asian Spine Journal Vol.9 No.5

Study Design: Prospective study. Purpose: To compare magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) findings with clinical profile and neurological status of the patient and to correlate the MRI findings with neurological recovery of the patients and predict the outcome. Overview of Literature: Previous studies have reported poor neurological recovery in patients with cord hemorrhage, as compared to cord edema in spine injury patients. High canal compromise, cord compression along with higher extent of cord injury also carries poor prognostic value. Methods: Neurological status of patients was assessed at the time of admission and discharge in as accordance with the American Spine Injury Association (ASIA) impairment scale. Mean stay in hospital was 14.11±5.74 days. Neurological status at admission and neurological recovery at discharge was compared with various qualitative cord findings and quantitative parameters on MRI. In 27 patients, long-term follow-up was done at mean time of 285.9±43.94 days comparing same parameters. Results: Cord edema and normal cord was associated with favorable neurological outcome. Cord contusion showed lesser neurological recovery, as compared to cord edema. Cord hemorrhage was associated with worst neurological status at admission and poor neurological recovery. Mean canal compromise (MCC), mean spinal cord compression (MSCC) and lesion length values were higher in patients presenting with ASIA A impairment scale injury and showed decreasing trends towards ASIA E impairment scale injury. Patients showing neurological recovery had lower mean MCC, MSCC, and lesion length, as compared to patients showing no neurological recovery (p <0.05). Conclusions: Cord hemorrhage, higher MCC, MSCC, and lesion length values have poor prognostic value in spine injury patients.

Radioprotective and Antioxidant Activity of Fractionated Extracts of Berries of Hippophae rhamnoides

        Rakesh Kumar Sharma,Raman Chawla,Rajesh Arora,Shikha Singh,Ravinder Kumar Sagar,Raj Kumar,Ashok Sharma,Manju L. Gupta,Surender Singh,Jagdish Prasad,Haider A. Khan,Anand Swaroop,A.K. Sinha,A.K. Gupta,R 한국식품영양과학회 2007 Journal of medicinal food Vol.10 No.1

Plants are an abundant source of medicinal compounds, some of which are useful in combating free radical-1002 (flavonoid-poor fraction) of Hippophae rhamnoideswere screened on the basis of their reducing power in the aqueousphase. REC-1001 was selected for further study, since it exhibited 27.38 times higher antioxidant activity than REC-1002.REC-1001 also showed significant (P. .05) membrane protection potential at 50 .g/mL, which was attributed to its abilityto scavenge peroxyl radicals (64.82. 1.25% scavenging within 1,440 min). A significant (P. .05) difference of 67.02% infree radical scavenging activity at 1,000 ng/mL between REC-1001 and vitamin E demonstrated the extract fraction’s worthc-tion. Further, REC-1001 was found to be nontoxic up to 200 mg/kg of body weight. This research suggests that the REC-1001 fraction of H. rhamnoidesextract is a safe and effective antioxidant nutraceutical product.

      • Exploration of cell cycle regulation and modulation of the DNA methylation mechanism of pelargonidin: Insights from the molecular modeling approach

        Karthi, N.,Karthiga, A.,Kalaiyarasu, T.,Stalin, A.,Manju, V.,Singh, S.K.,Cyril, R.,Lee, S.M. Pergamon 2017 Computational biology and chemistry Vol.70 No.-

Pelargonidin is an anthocyanidin isolated from plant resources. It shows strong cytotoxicity toward various cancer cell lines, even though the carcinogenesis-modulating pathway of pelargonidin is not yet known. One of our previous reports showed that pelargonidin arrests the cell cycle and induces apoptosis in HT29 cells. Flowcytometry and immunoblot analysis confirmed that pelargonidin specifically inhibits the activation of CDK1 and blocks the G2-M transition of the cell cycle. In addition, DNA fragmentation was observed along with induction of cytochrome c release-mediated apoptosis. Hence, the aim of the present study was to investigate the molecular mechanism of pelargonidin's action on cell cycle regulators CDK1, CDK4, and CDK6 as well as the substrate-binding domain of DNMT1 and DNMT3A, which regulate the epigenetic signals related to DNA methylation. The results of docking analysis, binding free energy calculation, and molecular dynamics simulation correlated with the experimental results, and pelargonidin showed a specific interaction with CDK1. In this context, pelargonidin may also inhibit the recognition of DNA and catalytic binding by DNMT1 and DNMT3A. The HOMO-LUMO analysis mapped the functional groups of pelargonidin. Prediction of pharmacological descriptors suggested that pelargonidin can serve as a multitarget inhibitor for cancer treatment. (C) 2017 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
