      • 방울토마토 꼭지제거 요인시험

        방울토마토는 2016년 기준 재배면적은 18,362 ha이며, 생산량은 114,977ton을 보인다. 연평균 도매가격이 17,105원/5kg으로 선호하는 과일 5위에 달한다. 이러한 방울토마토는 꼭지가 부착된 상태여야 신선도가 높은 것으로 인정되어 높은 가격을 받을 수 있다. 하지만 보관 시 꼭지로 인해 저장성이 저하되는 연구가 보고된바 있으며, 취식전에 꼭지를 제거해야 하는 불편함이 있다. 이러한 저장성 저하 문제와 꼭지 제거의 불편함을 해소하기 위하여 방울토마토 자동 꼭지제거기의 개발이 이루어져야 하며, 기계의 성능선정을 위해 꼭지 제거에 소요되는 응력과 방울토마토가 다치지 않고 허용할 수 있는 최대 응력측정이 요구된다. 방울토마토의 꼭지제거 및 허용응력을 측정하기 위하여 장치구성은 인장압축기(LTCM-100, Ametek, USA)와 바이스 및 프로브를 이용하여 실험하였다. 실험은 꼭지를 제거하는 인장시험 및 방울토마토 허용응력측정을 위한 압축시험을 진행하였다. 꼭지를 제거하는 실험은 인장시험을 통해 35 mm/min의 속도에서 실험하였으며, 방울토마토의 꼭지를 고정한 상태에서 방울토마토를 인장하여 이탈되기 전까지의 응력을 측정하였다. 3회 반복실험한 결과 Tension Peak는 평균 3.9 N, Maximum Load는 평균 3.18 N이며, 꼭지가 완전히 떨어져 나간 실험소요시간은 평균 40.8 s, Average Load는 평균 1.27 N이다. 방울토마토 허용응력실험은 압축시험을 통해 35 mm/min의 속도에서 실험하였으며, 방울토마토를 금속원판 위에 올려놓은 상태에서 방울토마토를 압축하여 표피가 터질 때까지의 응력을 측정하였다. 3회 반복실험한 결과 Tension Peak는 평균 18.9 N, Maximum Load는 평균 17.9N이며, 표피가 압축하는 힘을 견디지 못하고 터질 때까지의 실험소요시간은 평균 30.8 s, Average Load는 평균 9.5 N이다. 실험 경과 시간의 경우 방울토마토의 꼭지를 제거할 때의 경과 시간이 10 s 더 길었으며, Tension Peak, Maximum Load, Average Load의 경우 방울토마토의 표피가 다치지 않고 허용하는 응력이 더 크게 나타났다. 본 연구에서는 방울토마토의 꼭지 제거를 위한 응력을 알 수 있었으며, 방울토마토의 허용응력을 초과하지 않은 범위에서 꼭지제거기의 개발이 요구된다.

        A 2-month-old female Holstein Friesian calf was noted to leak urine from the umbilicus during urination. She urinated through both the umbilicus and the urethra. A conduit from the umbilicus to the bladder was identified with ultrasonography. Uroperitoneum was ruled out because blood urea nitrogen and creatinine were within reference ranges. Surgery was performed to resect the patent urachus. Urachitis was identified during surgery. Dexamethasone and an antibiotic were used for the inflammation and postoperative cares. Meloxicam was substituted for dexamethasone since the calf showed side effects to dexamethasone. The calf recovered completely and there was no urine leakage from the umbilicus.

        <P>Shank2 is a multidomain scaffolding protein implicated in the structural and functional coordination of multiprotein complexes at excitatory postsynaptic sites as well as in psychiatric disorders, including autism spectrum disorders. While Shank2 is strongly expressed in the cerebellum, whether Shank2 regulates cerebellar excitatory synapses, or contributes to the behavioral abnormalities observed in Shank2(-/-) mice, remains unexplored. Here we show that Shank2(-/-) mice show reduced excitatory synapse density in cerebellar Purkinje cells in association with reduced levels of excitatory postsynaptic proteins, including GluD2 and PSD-93, and impaired motor coordination in the Erasmus test. Shank2 deletion restricted to Purkinje cells (Pcp2-Cre; Shank2(fl/fl) mice) leads to similar reductions in excitatory synapse density, synaptic protein levels, and motor coordination. Pcp2-Cre; Shank2(fl/fl) mice do not recapitulate autistic-like behaviors observed in Shank2(-/-) mice, such as social interaction deficits, altered ultrasonic vocalizations, repetitive behaviors, and hyperactivity. However, Pcp2-Cre; Shank2(fl/fl) mice display enhanced repetitive behavior in the hole-board test and anxiety-like behavior in the light-dark test, which are not observed in Shan2(-/-) mice. These results implicate Shank2 in the regulation of cerebellar excitatory synapse density, motor coordination, and specific repetitive and anxiety-like behaviors.</P>

        Hematological and microbial analysis on a Holstein heifer with infectious bovine keratoconjunctivitis

        Infectious bovine keratoconjunctivitis (IBK) is the most common ocular disease in cattle, manifesting as corneal opacity, corneal ulcerations and potentially vision loss. The present report describes a 10- month-old Holstein Friesian heifer with IBK treated by systemic tulathromycin, and subconjunctival injection of penicillin and dexamethasone. We investigated changes in the hematological indices and microorganisms related to IBK after treatment. Neutrophils and monocytes decreased during recovery, so it was assumed that these two types of white cells are associated with IBK. Moraxella bovoculi was cleared in the eye, nasal cavity, and oral cavity after treatment. The distribution of M. bovoculi before treatment indicated that a combined systemic and subconjunctival treatment was necessary. The lesioned eye was found to be overwhelmed by Mycoplasma bovoculi, while pathogen abundance was reduced in the nasal cavity and oral cavities. These results suggest that antibiotic treatment can alter the composition and relative abundance of microorganisms.

        Holstein 젖소의 호흡기 질병 백신에 대한 면역반응성과 전장 유전체 연관 분석 연구

        To detect Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) markers associated with Bovine viral diarrhea virus (BVDV) and Bovine respiratory syncytial virus (BRSV) S/P ratio in Korean Holstein dairy cattle, Genomewide association study (GWAS) was performed using Illumina BovineSNP50 Beadchip. The number of phenotype data and genotype data were 107, and 294. respectively. Phenotype data were collected for four periods (0 week, 1 week, 4 week, 24 week) after having vaccinated (0 week no vaccinated period). A total of 36,257 SNPs was remained after quality control had been done by PLINK. The result of GWAS showed 6 SNP markers (BTB-01704243, BTB-01594395, ARS-BFGL-NGS-118070, ARS-BFGL-NGS- 111365, BTA-65410-no-rs, Hapmap38331-BTA-61256) under BVDV and 4 SNP markers (ARS-BFGLNGS- 109861, Hapmap53701-rs29017064, ARS-BFGL-NGS-71055, BTA-11232-no-rs) under BRSV. And also, 10 candidate genes found through 10 SNP markers (TBX18, CEP162, PAFAH1B1, METTL16, BRCA1, RND2, POLK, ENSBTAG00000051724, ADAM18, NRG3).

        음악교수법연구 : 피아노와 고정 매체 재생을 위한 작품들의 특징적 리듬 고찰

        본 연구는 피아노와 고정 매체 재생을 위하여 작곡된 다섯 개의 작품들을 통하여, 전자음악이 가능하게한 리듬의 정확성과 무제한의 리듬 범위, 그리고 지치지 않는 영속성을 이해하는 동시에, 피아노와의 합주를 통해 창조해 내는 피아노와 고정매체간의 특징적인 리듬관계에 대하여 논하고자 한다. 이러한 연구는, 연주자들로 하여금, 각 작품의 가치를 일깨우고, 연주 의지를 불러일으키는 것에 기여할 것으로 기대된다. Rhythmic Writings of Selected Works for Piano and Fixed Media The shortage of research in this area has contributed to the infrequency of performance of piano and fixed media repertoire. Therefore, consistent investigations into this newly available repertoire and formation of specific performance guides need to be continued for individual works, so that pianists can learn about and perform this type of music. From performer’s point of view, investigations such as notation, the sound sources of the fixed media, rhythmic writings and the way to set equipments for the stage performance will help performers study and prepare these works. Among these aspects, especially, the treatment of rhythmic writing in this genre will be focused on this study.

      • 습도 센서 부착형 고추 모종 이식기 개발

        최근 농업 사회에서의 노동력 감소와 귀농·귀촌에 따른 청년 농부가 증가함에 따라 새로운 방식의 농업사회가 구성되고 있으며 이에 따라 정확한 계측 농업의 도입과 농업의 디지털화가 이루어지고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 농촌 사회의 변화에 맞춰 편리함과 정확함을 목표로한 고추모종 이식기를 개발하는 것이다. 현재 농촌에서는 고추 정식 과정에서 물을 줄 때 눈대중으로 적당량의 수분을 공급해 주는 방식을 사용한다. 이런 방식은 농민의 경험에 의존한 방법이며 최적의 생산량을 도출해내기는 어렵기에 수분을 공급하는 적합한 습도 값을 조사해 이 습도 값만큼 물을 주도록 개발품을 설계하였다. 정식 시에 기존 토양의 물 주기 전의 습도 값을 측정하고 이에 따라 적합한 습도 값(85%)에 도달할 때까지 물을 공급하고 저절로 멈추도록 하는 장치의 개발이다. 또한 기존의 고추 정식 과정은 땅을 파고 모종을 심고 물을 주고 흙을 덮는 과정으로 이루어지는데 비닐 멀칭 구멍 뚫기, 모종심기, 필요한 수분 공급 등의 세분화된 과정들을 한 번에 수행함으로써 모종을 이식하는 과정을 하나의 기계로 한번의 공정을 통하여 수행할 수 있도록 설계하여 노동력과 경영비를 감소시키는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해서는 토양 습도 측정을 위한 습도계, 수분 공급을 위한 워터 펌프, 습도 값을 읽고 워터 펌프로 내보낼 물의 양을 계산해 줄 아두이노를 사용하며,수분이 공급되는 분수호스를 적용하였다. 간편해진 모종 이식 방법으로 모종을 이식 할수 있기에 노인이 많은 농촌 사회에서 부족한 일손을 본 개발품을 통하여 일정부분 해소할수 있으며 불필요한 동작 및 위험요소가 사라짐에 따라 부상 위험을 감소시킬 것으로 기대되며 추후 개발품의 현장 실험을 통하여 능률을 분석하며, 수정 보완할 계획이다.

      • Trends in Automation and Robotics in Protected Horticulture

        Changes in climate and associated negative impacts on production agriculture have increased the focus on adaptation strategies including protected cultivation systems. Incorporation of automation and robotics in such systems provide additional benefits such as reduced exposures to chemicals that are harmful to human operators in these enclosed structures. Also, environmentally-friendly practices such as precision weed control which reduce the use of chemicals are made possible by machine vision. Moreover, automation provides opportunities for improved positioning in the global market through increased production. In addition to a review of published reports on automation and control in production systems, five state-of-the-art greenhouses and a major international industry exhibition were visited in order to examine trends in protected cultivation. Data on automation systems and production outputs were collected and analyzed. Our findings show that important gains have been made recently including substantial progress in the development of robots for protected cultivation in greenhouses. For example, 5,000 kg/ha of paprika with 1,500,000 growth lines was cultivated in a state-of-the-art greenhouse using a workforce of 50 personnel compared to 2500 kg/ha in the open field with a considerably higher labor force. This represented a 50% increase in production per square meter and indicates some of the opportunities presented by protected cultivation in meeting growing demands without increasing areas under cultivation. Greenhouse cultivation could be a major driver in attaining food security especially in countries most susceptible to changes in climate. There is a need therefore for improvements in systems as well as the development of relatively affordable technology to facilitate automation.

      • Transfer-printable micropatterned fluoropolymer-based triboelectric nanogenerator

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Triboelectric nanogenerators (TENG) are increasingly considered as a promising energy harvesting system due to high output performance from various wasted energy sources. Numerous studies addressing the TENG configuration improve the performance of these devices by optimizing the paired triboelectric materials and structural geometry. Here, poly(1<I>H</I>,1<I>H</I>,2<I>H</I>,2<I>H</I>-perfluorodecyl methacrylate) (PFDMA) fluoropolymer is adopted as a novel negative tribo-material for application to a TENG, as it is at the topmost negative position of the triboelectric series and it is possible to tune the surface roughness under mild conditions. The intrinsic properties are examined and systematic measurements are carried out with the goal of applying the material to a TENG. PFDMA is suitable for application to a TENG, because PFDMA-TENG exhibits a high voltage, current, and power density of 68V, 6.68μA, and 150μW, respectively, under a load of 500MΩ. Moreover, a PFDMA film offers two distinctive advantages making it ideal for application to a TENG: transmittance higher than 98% even with a relatively high surface roughness, and transfer printing on diverse substrates.
