        In irregular curtain walls, the nominal stress required for each member varies greatly depending on the shape, so it is inefficient to design members based on the maximum required stress. Then, built-up members are absolutely necessary, but built-up members manufactured by Manpower-welding cannot be constructed in an irregular curtain wall building because it' not precise. In order to address the problems, this paper presents why Robotic-laser-welding should be used in irregular curtain walls using Gwanggyo Galleria Department Store involving 3D printing as an example. Results verify the performance of Robot-Laser-Welding as an efficient solution for precise steel curtain wall members.

        고령화에 따른 퇴직연령과 연금 수급연령의 조정: 독일 사례 연구

        법정정년과 노령연금 수급연령 간에 격차가 존재하고 앞으로 그 격차가 확대되는 상황에서 법정정년 연장과 실질 퇴직연령 연장에 대한 주장이 대립하고 있다. 또한 국민연금의 장기재정이 위협받으면서도 국민연금법에 규정된 소득대체율이 낮고, 현실에서의 가입기간이 짧아 실질 소득대체율이 더욱 낮게 되어 미래에도 노인빈곤이 심각한 사회문제가 될 전망이다. 본 논문에서는 이 문제들을 완화하기 위한 시사점을 도출하기 위해 독일 법률 개정 내용의 변화를 조사하는 문헌연구 방법을 사용했다. 독일은 1980년대 중반부터 고령근로자 고용을 활성화하기 위해 실업보험과 국민연금을 각각 노동시장정책과 노후보장정책의 일환으로 연계하여 활용했다. 이러한 정책 연계를 통해 국민연금 재정안정화를 포함한 인구구조 변화에 기인하는 문제와 노후소득 보장 문제를 해결할 수 있었다. 독일 사례 연구에서 시사점을 도출했다. 첫째, 현실에서 많은 부작용과 반발이 예상되는 법정정년 연장보다 실질 퇴직연령을 늦추는 것이 바람직하다. 둘째, 국민연금의 재정적 지속가능성, 미래의 노동력 부족 및 낮은 소득대체율에 기인하는 노인빈곤을 완화하기 위해 가입기간 연장을 지원하는 정책이 필요하다. 셋째, 제도 변화에 대한 가입자 반발로 국민연금 개혁 논의가 진전되지 못하는 현실을 고려하여 20년 장기계획을 세워 고령근로자 고용을 지원하면서 국민연금의 재정적 지속가능성을 확보하는 단계적 접근법을 검토한다. 넷째, 점진적 퇴직제도의 도입은 중장기 과제로 검토한다. 다섯째, 국민연금 가입자에게 제공하는 정보를 강화한다. In Korea, there exists a gap between the statutory age of retirement and the entitlement age of the old-age pension, and this gap will expand in the future. There are two conflicting arguments : deferring of the statutory age of retirement vs deferring of the real retirement age. Though financial sustainability of NPS is threatened, the wage replacement ratio in the law is low and due to the short employment period, the wage replacement ratio in reality is even lower. This causes poverty issues amongst the elderly not only in the present but in the future. The purpose of this paper is to draw implications based on case study of Germany in order to alleviate these issues. Since the middle of 1980’s, Germany used unemployment insurance and pension insurance combined in order to boost the employment of elderly workers and could solve the problems connected with financial sustainability of pension insurance and elderly poverty. Based on the case study of Germany, policy implications were drawn. First, deferring of the real retirement age is more desirable than deferring of the statutory age of retirement. Second, policy for lengthening the insurance period of NPS is needed in order to relieve problems related with financial sustainability of NPS, shortage of labor force and elderly poverty due to the low wage replacement ratio. Third, considering the reality that the debate on pension reform is stopped due to the strong resist of the insured, I propose to take a phased approach for 20 years in which employment of the elderly workers can be boosted and financial sustainability of NPS can be secured. Forth, the introduction of Gradual Retirement System should be reviewed as a mid/long-term project. Fifth, more pension information should be provided to the insured.

        기초연금, 국민연금 및 국민기초생활보장제도의 재구조화에 관한 연구

        국민연금은 광범위한 적용의 사각지대가 존재하며, 기초연금은 막대한 예산에도 빈곤완화 효과가 제한적이다. 또한 급격한 기초연금 인상으로 기초연금, 국민연금 및 국민기초생활보장의 관계에서 발생하는 문제가 악화되었다. 본 연구는 공적노후소득보장제도를 재구조화하여 노인빈곤 완화를 포함한 사회보장제도의 효율성과 재정적 지속가능성을 높이는 것을 목적으로 한다. 사회·경제 환경이 급격히 변하고 있고, GDP 대비 기초연금지출이 2060년에 3.0%를 초과할 것으로 추정한다. 기초연금과 국민연금 관계에서의 주요쟁점인 기초연금의 정체성, 지급대상의 적절성, 연계감액과 급여 연동장치의 타당성을 검토한 후 모수적 개혁방안과 근본적 개혁방안을 비교했다. 근본적 개혁방안인 최저소득보장, 최저보장연금 및 보편적 기초연금을 평가한 결과 최저소득보장을 바람직한 대안으로 판단했다. 최저소득보장 도입을 위해 기초연금을 점진적으로 폐지하고 기초연금 적용대상의 일부와 국민기초생활보장을 적용받는 노인을 적용대상으로 한다. 대상자 선정을 위한 자산평가에서 부양의무자 기준을 폐지하고 본인과 배우자의 소득과 재산만 반영하며, 현행 국민기초생활보장의 방법을 준용한다. Huge uncovered area in application exists in National Pension Scheme while the effect of Basic Pension Scheme for poverty reduction is limited despite its huge budget. In addition, problems within Basic Pension Scheme, National Pension Scheme and Basic Livelihood Security Program worsened due to the rapid increase of basic pension amount. The purpose of this paper is to enhance efficiency of social security system including elderly poverty reduction and financial sustainability by restructuring public old-age security system. Socio-economic environment is rapidly changing and the ratio of expenditure for Basic Pension to GDP is estimated to amount over 3.0% in 2060. After major issues caused by the relationship between Basic Pension and National Pension are reviewed, parametric and fundamental reforms are analyzed. The fundamental reforms; Minimum Income Guarantee, Guarantee Pension and Universal Basic Pension, are evaluated and it came to the conclusion that Minimum Income Guarantee is the desirable alternative. The introduction of Minimum Income Guarantee suggests Basic Pension Scheme to gradually phase out and to cover part of current Basic Pension coverage and the elderly poor who are covered by Basic Livelihood Security Program. In asset evaluation for the target selection, family support obligation rules should be abolished, and income/property of the old person and his/her spouse should be taken into consideration.

        Base extrusion is found at helical junctions between right- and left-handed forms of DNA and RNA

        <P>Base extrusion is a major structural feature at the junction between B- and Z-DNA (the B–Z junction) where a base pair is broken, and the two bases are extruded from the double helix. Despite the demonstration of base extrusion at the B–Z junction, it is not clear whether a similar base extrusion occurs at other types of junctions involving the left-handed Z conformation. Here, we investigate structural changes of bases at three Z-form junctions: DNA B–Z and Z–Z and RNA A–Z junctions. By monitoring fluorescently labeled duplex nucleic acids using 2-aminopurines at various positions relative to the junction point, we show that base extrusion occurs not only at the DNA B–Z junction, but also at the RNA A–Z and DNA Z–Z junctions. Our data suggest that base extrusion is a general feature of Z-form nucleic-acid junctions.</P>

        3,5-Di-C- <i>β</i> - <sub><small>D</small></sub> -glucopyranosyl phloroacetophenone, a major component of <i>Melicope ptelefolia</i> , suppresses fibroblast activation and alleviates arthritis in a mouse model: Potential therapeutics for rheumatoid arth

        <P><I>Melicope ptelefolia</I> has been traditionally used to treat rheumatism and fever. The present study aimed to investigate the therapeutic effect of 3,5-di-C-<I>β</I>-<SUB><SMALL>D</SMALL></SUB>-glucopyranosyl phloroacetophenone (βGP), a main component of <I>M. ptelefolia</I>, on rheumatoid arthritis (RA). A model of collagen-induced arthritis (CIA) was established in mice using the RAW 264.7 murine macrophage cell line and mouse embryonic fibroblasts (MEFs). The clinical scores of arthritis, swelling, histopathological findings, and micro-computed tomography in CIA mouse paws were assessed. The levels of anti-type II collagen antibody and cytokines were determined in the plasma and cell culture supernatant, respectively. Protein and gene expression levels were analyzed by western blot and reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction analyses. βGP significantly decreased the gross arthritic scores of CIA mice and joint swelling, and decreased articular inflammation, cartilage degradation and bone erosion. However, βGP did not exert any effect on anti-type II collagen immunoglobulin G plasma levels or inflammatory cytokine expression in macrophages. βGP significantly suppressed the expression of interleukin-6 and leukemia inhibitory factor and decreased the phosphorylation of signal transducer and activator of transcription 3, and expression of receptor activator of nuclear factor-κB ligand in tumor necrosis factor-α-stimulated MEFs and in CIA mouse paws. Osteoclast-related gene expression was significantly reduced in CIA mouse paws. Taken together, βGP suppressed the development of RA by regulating the activation of synovial fibroblasts.</P>

        Because of oil energy depletion and environmental problems, electric vehicles have been active for many studies. With the recent advancement of battery technology and the development of the in-wheel motor, multi-axle electric vehicles with an in-wheel motor mounted on each wheel are being studied with general 4-wheel electric vehicles. This power driving system has many advantages in terms of control. This paper presents an study on efficient hill climbing for 6WD/6WS vehicle which has in-wheel motor system of using the two torque distribution method. The one vehicle is used by the proposed algorithm. And the other vehicle is used by equivalent torque distribution method. Two vehicles are compared energy consumption for hill climbing. To verify the performance of the proposed algorithm, the simulation is executed using TruckSim software. According to simulation result, vehicle which is used optimal tire force distribution method consumes the low energy at the hill.

        This paper proposes the control algorithm for a front wheel drive electric vehicle with in-wheel electric motor. This control algorithm is developed to improve the lateral vehicle dynamic motion. Driving Control algorithm for controlling the lateral movement of the vehicle consists of the direct yaw moment control algorithm and torque distribution algorithm. The direct yaw moment control algorithm determines the desired yaw moment for neutral steering performance and calculates the desired longitudinal force for longitudinal drive. Torque distribution algorithm defines the desired wheel torque on the left and right wheel from the desired yaw moment, desired longitudinal force and tire forces. The proposed control algorithm is simulated using CarSim software. The performance is verified by comparing the trajectory results and yaw rate results of a vehicle model with and without this control algorithm.

        Most passengers wish their vehicles safer and the car OEMs are enlarging the adaptation of safety part, especially, many kind of air-bags, Driver Air Bag, Passenger Air Bag, Curtain Air Bag, Knee Air Bag. In vehicle, seat also includes the SAB(Side Air Bag) in the outer side of the back part. It protects passenger’s side body in car colliding. Each OEM has a unique inflation technology in the SAB. In this paper, the new inflation method is introduced for taking action against the patent infringement by the competitor company. In the process of the invention, the patent map of world OEM is investigated. The new technology improves inflation performance compared to the other company’s one. The result also obtained a patent.

        This study propose the control algorithm for a rear wheel driving electric vehicle with in-wheel motor on split-μ road. This control algorithm is developed to improve the vehicle stability on split-μ road. The control algorithm consists of direct yaw moment control and slip ratio control. The direct yaw moment control uses the different torque which generated by left and right wheels. And the slip ratio control uses the target slip ratio and PID motor control. By using this method, we can suppress the yaw rate on split-μ road. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by the simulation using TruckSim software.
