        Micromagnetic Study on Micro-structured Ferromagnetic Thin Film for High-frequency-device Applications

        Various effects of geometry on the magnetic properties at microwave frequencies ( 20 GHz)are systematically studied for micro- and nano-structured ferromagnetic thin films with fourfoldin-plane magnetic anisotropy by using micromagnetic simulations. Obtained numerical results onthe dynamics of the micro- and the nano-structured magnetic thin film are useful for design considerationsfor various high-frequency devices, including thin-film inductors, microwave filters andabsorbers. The permeability and the resonance frequency are found to be well scaled with a structuralparameter of w/t (w = lateral pattern size and t = film thickness) for pattern sizes that differby an order of magnitude. An exceptional resonance behavior of the smallest pattern with w =0.5 µm was reasoned to be significant in suppressing the precession in the vicinity of the patternedge. We also demonstrated that stable magnetization directions orthogonal to each other could beswitched with external fields, enabling local control of the permeability in the structured pattern.

      • Assessment of Autoxidative Resistance for Organic Solvent by Pressure Monitoring Test

        In the recycle process of organic solvent, the atmospheric oxygen can cause autoxidation and product peroxide. The time-saving method to evaluate the hazards has been required. In this study, oxygen pressure monitoring experiment was proposed as a new method to evaluate autoxidative resistances of solvents. Some of organic solvents were pressurized by oxygen and kept under isothermal condition. At the same time, the pressure in the vessel tracked. Iodometrical titration, thermal analysis and spectroscopic analysis were performed to measure peroxide concentration, the heat of reaction and chemical bonding change. From the results that THF has larger oxygen consumption rate than CPME, it is considered that autoxidative resistance of THF is lower than that of CPME. This method enables to obtain results in shorter time than other methods. These experimental results were consistent with the previous research with longer test durations [1-2].

        허위의 출생신고에 의한 입양 성립에 관한 소고

        日韓の民事法に共通する論点の1つとして, 「虚偽の出生申告(出生届)による入養/縁組の成立」がある. 韓国においては, 大法院1977年7月26日宣告77ダ492全員合議体判決(以下, 「大法院1977年全員合議体判決」とする.)が, 「虚偽の出生申告」を「入養申告」に転換し, 「虚偽の出生申告による入養」の成立を許容した後, 大法院は同趣旨の判決を下し続けてきた. ゆえに, 韓国判例は, 「虚偽の出生申告による入養」を認めるものとして確立したものと思われる. これに対し, 日本判例は, 「虚偽の出生届による縁組の成立」を許容しない. このことからすれば, 共通の問題に対する2つの国の判例法理は, 明らかに異なり, そこには如何なる関連性もないものと考えられる. しかし, 上記の大法院1977年全員合議体判決が下される以前に, 日本においても, 我妻榮教授が虚偽の出生届による縁組の成立に関する論文を公表した後, この法理が一時, 日本の学説上, 多数説となったことがある. 共通する問題に対し, 互いに「虚偽の出生申告(出生届)による入養/縁組」という法理を検討してきた2つの国の議論に全くの関連性がないかは疑わしい. そこで, 本稿では, 日本の民法学者である筆者が, 虚偽の出生申告による入養成立に関する韓国法, とりわけ, 大法院1977年全員合議体判決の形成につき, 過去の日本法との関連性を意識しつつ検討し, 結論として, 上記判決の形成過程には, 大法院1977年全員合議体判決以前の日本法の影響が看取されることを指摘した.

      • Improvement of nutritional value and functional properties of soybean glycinin by protein engineering

        글리시닌은 大豆의 주요 貯藏 단백질중의 하나이다. 글리시닌의 機能特性(겔화성과 乳化性)과 營養價를 改善하기 위하여 A1aB1b proglycinin subunit를 여러 종류의 콩과식물 혹은 비콩과식물의 단백질 그리고 글리시닌의 構造와 機能特性과의 상관관계로부터 글리시닌 형태의 글로블린의 아미노산 배열의 비교로부터 제안된 유전적으로 可變領域의 domain을 기초로 하여 改變하였다. 그러므로 각 可變領域에 상당하는 핵산 염기배열을 A1aB1b proglycinin을 code하고 있는 cDNA로부터 削除하거나, 4개의 연속된 methionine을 code하고 있는 合成 DNA를 각각의 可變領域의 domain에 상당하는 cDNA 領域에 揷入하였다. 改變된 cDNA의 발현 plasmid를 調製하고 대장균 JM 105에서 發現하였다. 改變된 단백질의 몇종류는 대장균체내에서 溶解性 단백질로 축적되었으며 self-assemble하였다. 改變된 단백질들은 자연에 있는 대두 글리시닌보다도 우수한 機能特性을 나타내었으며 이론적으로 高品質인 글리시닌을 創製하는 可能性을 확립하였다. Glycinin is one of the predominant storage proteins of soybean. To improve its functional properties (heat-induced gelation and emulsification) and/or nutritional value, the A??B?? proglycinin subunit was modified on the basis of genetically variable domains suggested from the comparison of amino acid sequences of glycinin-type globulins from ???? legumes and nonlegumes and the relationships between the structure and the functional properties of glycinin. Thus, nucleotide sequences corresponding to each of the variable domains were deleted from the cDNA encoding the A??B?? proglycinin, and a synthetic DNA encoding four continuous methionines was inserted into the cDNA region corresponding to each of the variable domains. Expression plasmids carrying the modified cDNAs were constructed and expressed in Escherichia coli strain JM105. Some of the modified proteins were accumulated as soluble proteins in the cells at a high level and self-assembled. They exhibited functional properties superior to those of the native glycinin from soybean, which establishes the possibility of creating theoretically designed novel glycinins with high food qualities.

      • 확장테이퍼분공 GDI 노즐의 미립화 향상 및 출구적심 저감 성능에 대한 고찰

        The concept of the diverging-tapered-hole nozzle has been introduced recently for the combustion improvement and PM/PN reduction in GDI engines. Its superior atomization performance and potential of injector-tip-wetting suppression have been reported in a previous study based on the experimental observations of macroscopic and microscopic spray characteristics. However, detailed mechanisms associated with these performances have not been clarified so far, which is essential to extract the best performance from this nozzle concept. In this study, the internal and near-nozzle flow characteristics of the diverging-taperedhole GDI nozzle are investigated using X-ray phase-contrast and absorption imaging techniques. Based on the results, the mechanisms related to the above performances are thoroughly discussed. The results show that the diverging-tapered-hole nozzle generates the three-dimensionally expanding crescent-moon-like flow structure which can increase the fuel-air contact area and also possess the additional tearing force assisting in the liquid flow breakup. This crescent-moon-like flow structure is normally confined within the lower half circle of the hole cross-section which helps the low-velocity flow region does not leak through the upper half circle so that the fuel leak during the injection can be minimized. Also, the expanding hole space in the diverging-taperedhole nozzle helps the dribbling fuel after the needle close can be better released rather than sticking into the nozzle tip. These three-dimensionally expanding crescent-moon-like flow, confined flow area, and the expanding hole space are discussed to be the key mechanisms related to performances of the divergingtapered- hole nozzle.

        Cerebrovascular reactivity to hypercapnia during sevoflurane or desflurane anesthesia in rats

        Background: Hypercapnia causes dilation of cerebral vessels and increases cerebral blood flow, resulting in increased intracranial pressure. Sevoflurane is reported to preserve cerebrovascular carbon dioxide reactivity. However, the contribution of inhaled anesthetics to vasodilatory responses to hypercapnia has not been clarified. Moreover, the cerebrovascular response to desflurane under hypercapnia has not been reported. We examined the effects of sevoflurane and desflurane on vasodilatory responses to hypercapnia in rats. Methods: A closed cranial window preparation was used to measure the changes in pial vessel diameters. To evaluate the cerebrovascular response to hypercapnia and/or inhaled anesthetics, the pial vessel diameters were measured in the following states: without inhaled anesthetics at normocapnia (control values) and hypercapnia, with inhaled end-tidal minimal alveolar concentration (MAC) of 0.5 or 1.0 of either sevoflurane or desflurane at normocapnia, and an MAC of 1.0 of sevoflurane or desflurane at hypercapnia. Results: Under normocapnia, 1.0 MAC, but not 0.5 MAC, of sevoflurane or desflurane dilated the pial arterioles and venules. In addition, under both 1.0 MAC of sevoflurane and 1.0 MAC of desflurane, hypercapnia significantly dilated the pial arterioles and venules in comparison to their diameters without inhaled anesthetics. The degrees of vasodilation were similar for desflurane and sevoflurane under both normocapnia and hypercapnia. Conclusions: Desflurane induces cerebrovascular responses similar to those of sevoflurane. Desflurane can be used as safely as sevoflurane in neurosurgical anesthesia.

      • Properties and Distribution of Soybean Proglycinin Expressed in Saccharomyces cerevisiae

        Glycinin is a predominant storage protein of soybean. The high-level expression system of preproglycinin cDNA in yeast was established. The signal sequence of the expressed protein was cleaved at the correct site. However, most of the expressed proteins were insoluble due to their interaction with intracellular components at the acidic polypeptide region. The expressed proteins separated from the intracellular components by ion-exchange chromatography in the presence of urea were soluble without urea and self-assembled into trimers. The insolubility of the expressed proteins caused an accumulation of modified proteins with disturbed folding. Immunocytochemical distribution demonstrated that the expressed protein from the cDNA encoding preproglycinin accumulated in Golgi-like structure and organellas which may be derived from Golgi-like structure, and one from the cDNA encoding proglycinin homologue protein was found in the cytosol.
