Opportunistic Two-Stage Feedback and Scheduling for MIMO Downlink Systems
Moonsik Min,Dongsik Kim,Hyun-Myung Kim,Gi-Hong Im IEEE 2013 IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON COMMUNICATIONS Vol.61 No.1

We propose an opportunistic two-stage feedback and scheduling algorithm that is based upon zero-forcing beamforming with semi-orthogonal user selection (ZFBF-SUS) to reduce its feedback load. In an SUS algorithm, a base station schedules semi-orthogonal users using the feedback of all users' channel information. However, such feedback overhead significantly increases with the number of users. To reduce the feedback load of ZFBF-SUS systems, the proposed two-stage feedback scheme opportunistically and separately exploits the signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio and orthogonality in each stage such that only a fraction of users feed back their channel information. Based on this opportunistic feedback scheme, we decouple the entire process of the SUS into two sub-processes. The proposed two-stage feedback and scheduling scheme effectively exclude the inappropriate users for ZFBF transmission in both feedback and scheduling periods, and thus save the scarce resources consumed for the feedback process. We derive an analytical expression for the average number of feedback bits of the proposed system and optimize it in an averaged sense. Further, the sum-rate of the proposed system is theoretically investigated. Both analytical and simulation results show that the proposed algorithm achieves the performance of conventional ZFBF-SUS systems with a significantly reduced number of feedback bits.

Molecular Pathology of Gastric Cancer
Kim, Moonsik,Seo, An Na The Korean Gastric Cancer Association 2022 Journal of gastric cancer Vol.22 No.4
Gastric cancer (GC) is one of the most common lethal malignant neoplasms worldwide, with limited treatment options for both locally advanced and/or metastatic conditions, resulting in a dismal prognosis. Although the widely used morphological classifications may be helpful for endoscopic or surgical treatment choices, they are still insufficient to guide precise and/or personalized therapy for individual patients. Recent advances in genomic technology and high-throughput analysis may improve the understanding of molecular pathways associated with GC pathogenesis and aid in the classification of GC at the molecular level. Advances in next-generation sequencing have enabled the identification of several genetic alterations through single experiments. Thus, understanding the driver alterations involved in gastric carcinogenesis has become increasingly important because it can aid in the discovery of potential biomarkers and therapeutic targets. In this article, we review the molecular classifications of GC, focusing on The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) classification. We further describe the currently available biomarker-targeted therapies and potential biomarker-guided therapies. This review will help clinicians by providing an inclusive understanding of the molecular pathology of GC and may assist in selecting the best treatment approaches for patients with GC.

Hydrocarbon solution of $(PPh_3)_2(CO)MOSO_2CF_3$ (M= Rh, Ir) reacts rapidly with 1,4-dicyanobenzene or 1,4-dicyano-2-butene to yield dinuclear metal complexes $[(PPh_3)_2(CO)M({\mu}-dicyanobenzene)M(CO)(PPh_3)_2](SO_3CF_3)_2$ (I: M = Rh; II: M = Ir) or $[(PPh_3)_2(CO)M({\mu}-dicyano-2-benzene)M(CO)(PPh_3)_2](SO_3CF_3)_2$ (III: M = Rh; IV: M = Ir), respectively. Compounds I, II, III, and IV were characterized by $^1H$-NMR, $^{31}P$-NMR, and infrared spectrum. Dichloromethane solution of II and IV reacts with $H_2\;and\;I_2$ to yield oxidative addition complexes $[(PPh_3)_2(CO)IrX_2({\mu}-E)X_2Ir(CO)(PPh_3)_2](SO_3CF_3)_2$ (V; E = 1,4-dicyanobenzene, $X_2$ = $H_2$; VI : E = 1,4-dicyano-2-butene, $X_2$ = $H_2$; VII; E = 1,4-dicyanobenzene, $X_2$ = $I_2$). All metal complexes are bridged by the cyanide groups. Compounds Ⅴ, Ⅵ, and Ⅶ are characterized by conventional methods.

For development Telematics devices and software, traditional development methods including unit function test, compatibility test and T-car test often show limitations. The state of art Telematics devices have various functions including navigation, wireless communication, self diagnostics, DMB, audio & video and even vehicle control implying that the interactions among three major factors of automotive electronics - the vehicle, the device and the driver - need to be considered together whenever possible. This paper shows the virtual reality based test environment with KAAS(Katech Advanced Automotive Simulator). The two characteristics of the test systems are the CAN(Controller Area Network) protocol providing the real-time vehicle status and the real-time GPS signal indicating the current position of the vehicle. Therefore, the Telematics devices can be simulated in the virtual environment as if the devices are installed in a vehicle while the vehicle is driving simulator. The GPS simulator receives the vehicle status data such as vehicle position in the 3D virtual space in real time, computes the location of the GPS satellites above the vehicle, and sends the GPS RF signal of each satellite through the RF antenna mounted on the KAAS.

Vibration of real vehicle originates an engine drive and form of road surface. It begins a fatigue accumulation of vehicle driver, with technology for restraint to vibration of vehicle is going to research and application. The vehicle seat vibrator is a simulator for vibration of real vehicle reappears. Vehicle vibration generated of virtual experiment a driver feel in vibration area. The oil pressure type vehicle seat vibrator of preexistence is limiting a vibration test plan of small scale for make because of high cost; with vehicle seat vibrator using single electric actuator develops. It study analyses systems limit and dynamics of vehicle seat vibrator. And control algorithms apply electric actuator for vibration test.

In this study we analyzed the on-road driving performance of two parallel-type diesel-hybrid buses which have been driven in Daegu metropolitan area. A real-time on-board data logger was facilitated to measure the vehicle information such as vehicle speed, idle stop, state of charge of battery, and engine operating conditions. These diesel-hybrid buses ran as a commuter at Daegu Exco area and Dalsung industrial complex. The driving pattern in Exco area comprised more frequent idle stop and relatively lower speed than at Dalsung area, where comprised no idle stop. Due to those different driving patterns, the fuel economy at Dalsung showed 3.7 km/ℓ, which is about 8% higher than that of Exco. The main causes of this come from the higher portion of regenerative braking and higher speed which moves to the operating points of diesel engine with a lower fuel consumption.
