Modeling Asymmetric Rolling Process of Mg alloys

Asymmetric deformation during rolling can arise in various ways: difference in the radii, speeds, frictions of the top and bottom rolls. Asymmetric warm rolling processes of magnesium alloys were modeled using a lagrangian incremental approach. A constitutive equation representing flow behaviors of AZ31 magnesium alloys during warm deformation was implemented to the modeling. Various roll speed ratios were introduced to investigate deformation behaviors of the magnesium alloys. Bending and texturing of the strips were examined.

Ameloblastic fibro-odontoma is an extremely rare odontogenic tumor composed of proliferating ectodermal and mesenchymal components of odontogenic tissue, containing hard tooth structure. It occurs predominantly in children and young adults. The mandibular molar-ramus area is the most frequently observed location, presenting radiographically as a well-circumscribed and radiolucent-radiopaque tumor. A case involving a 24-year-old woman presenting with a large ameloblastic fibro-odontoma of the posterior mandible is reported. This case is of radiologic interest because two distinct calcification patterns were observed.
디지털영상을 이용한 치근이개부 실험병소의 판독능에 관한 연구

Purpose : To evaluate and compare the efficacy of digital radiographic images in the detection of bone loss at the bifurcation area of the mandibular first molar with traditional film-based periapical radiographs, Materials and Methods : One dried human mandible with minimal periodontal bone loss around the first molar was selected and an artificial alveolar bone defect at the bifurcation area was serially prepared over 18 steps. Images were taken using a direct CCD-based system and with F-speed periapical films. The images were evaluated by seven interpreters (3 radiologists, 3 periodontologists, and 1 general dentist) using a 5-point confidence rating scale. Results : The readability of both periapical radiographs and digital image increased as the size of the artificial lesion and exposure time increased (p < 0.05). Periapical radiographs offered greater readability of smaller bone defects than digital images, and the coefficient of variation of mean score between periapical radiographs and digital images showed a significant difference. Conclusion : The experimental results indicate that a significant difference in the coefficient of variation of mean score exists between periapical radiographs and digital images, and that traditional film-based periapical images offer greater readability of smaller bone defects than digital images can presently offer.

Objective : The purpose of this study is to evaluate clinical effect of oriental treatment for lumbago patients by comparing of Improvement index, Visual analog scale, DITI gap between common acupuncture with Dong-Si acupuncture treatment group and common acupuncture treatment group. Methods : The 38 patients who had a diagnosis of lumbago were observed from June 2002 to February 2003, were divided into two classes ; the A group was 19 cases practised Dong-Si acupuncture with common acupuncture, B group 19 cases only common acupuncture. Then the time of 2 weaks after, I compared Improvement index, Visual analog scale, DITI gap of two groups. Results : In Improvement Index, Group A is $0.4442{\pm}0.1165$ and Group B is $0.3061{\pm}0.1402$. So Group A is thought to be significant(P=0.002). In VAS(visual analogue scale), Group A is $7.4737{\pm}1.1239$ and Group B is $6.3684{\pm}1.0116$. So Group A is thought to be significant(P=0.003). In DITI, temperature differance of Group A is lower than Group B after treatment.
