N/A Objective: Restenosis after successful PTCA remains the main limitation of this technique. Restenosis is a response to injury of the vessel wall, platelet aggregation, thrombus formation, liberation of growth factors, cellular hyperplasia involving predominantly smooth muscle proliferation and migration, and intercellular matrix formation. The identification of risk factors for restenosis could help to prevent and reduce the impact of this phenomenon. We undertook this study to evaluate retrospectively the association between risk factors and restenosis after PTCA Methods: We studied 123 patients and 174 lesions that underwent successful P1YA and the follow-up period (from PTCA to follow-up angiography) was 8.2±5.8 months in all patients. They were divided into two groups according to the restenosis. Clinical feature, lesional feature, PTCA procedural feature, and other risk factors were compared. Restenosis was defined as the cutoff paint of >50% in diameter stenosis at angiographic follow-up. Results: 1) Restenosis was found in 68 lesions after successful PTCA (39.1%), 2) Clinical features of restenosis group are similar to no restenosis group 3) Thrombus (p=0,002), total occlusion (p=0.001), severity of stenosis in the initial lesion (p=0.013) and residual stenosis (p=0.001) were found to be independently associated with restenosis, whereas other lesional characteristics were not. 4) Balloon inflation duration (p=0.017) and dissection (p=0.002) were found to be independently associated with restenosis, whereas other procedural characteristics were not. Conclusion: Thrombus, total occlusioo, dissection, severity of stenosis in the initial lesion, balloon inflation time, residual stenosis were found to be associated with restenosis after PTCA in our study.

<P>Although numerous studies have validated the efficacy of intracoronary shunt on reducing left ventricular dysfunction during off-pump coronary artery bypass surgery (OPCAB), there is lack of evidence supporting its role on right ventricular (RV) function during right coronary artery (RCA) revascularization. Therefore, we studied the effect of intracoronary shunt during grafting of dominant RCA without visible collateral supply on global RV function using thermodilution method. Forty patients scheduled for multivessel OPCAB with right dominant coronary circulation without collateral supply confirmed by angiography were randomized to RCA revascularization either with a shunt (n=20) or soft snare occlusion (n=20). RV ejection fraction (RVEF) was recorded at baseline, during RCA grafting, and 15 min after reperfusion. Corresponding RV stroke work index (RVSWI) was calculated. RVEF and RVSWI decreased significantly during RCA grafting and returned to baseline values after reperfusion in both groups without any significant differences between the groups. Intracoronary shunt did not exert any beneficial effect on global RV function during RCA grafting, even in the absence of visible collateral supply. Regarding the possibility of graft failure by intracoronary shunt-induced endothelial damage, routine use of intracoronary shunt during RCA grafting is not recommended in patients with preserved biventricular function.</P>

<P>Applying nanoscale device fabrications toward biomolecules,ultrasensitive, selective, robust, and reliable chemical or biologicalmicrosensors have been one of the most fascinating research directionsin our life science. Here we introduce hierarchically driven iridiumdioxide (IrO<SUB>2</SUB>) nanowires directly on a platinum (Pt) microwire,which allows a simple fabrication of the amperometric sensor and showsa favorable electronic property desired for sensing of hydrogen peroxide(H<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>2</SUB>) and dihydronicotinamide adenine dinucleotide(NADH) without the aid of enzymes. Objective: The purpose of this study is to have the basis data for indoor air quality at barracks to prevent soldier's respiratory disease in military Method: We measured the indoor air quality of barracks in concentration with five factors such as airborne microbes, carbon dioxide, fine dust, temperatures and relative humidity at every month from June to August in 2009. We measured the indoor air quality at various time and at the three buildings that were classified year built. Results: The concentration shows significant difference by the inspected time not by the year built of the buildings. The concentration of airborne microbes, carbon dioxide were highest at 11:00 pm (p<0.01), and those of fine dust were highest at night(p<0.01). Temperatures were highest at 3:00 pm (p<0.01), and relative humidity were highest at 9:00 pm (p<0.05). Conclusion: Government rules should be legitimated for engineered ventilation system and periodical estimation of indoor air quality at barracks to prevent soldier's respiratory disease.

In this paper, it is presenting the method to estimate the various parameters (frequency, damping factor, mode magnitude, phase) for the dynamic characteristic of system using the Fourier transformation and the method of controller design in real-time.

먹노린재의 방제시기 설정을 위하여 서식지 내 발생 양상을 조사하였다. 전라남도를 중심으로 돌발 대량 발생 한 먹노린재의 발생 조사는 2023년도 벼의 모내기가 완료된 시점부터 전남 곡성군 석곡면과 여수시 화양면 일대 의 친환경단지에서 주 1회 실시하였으며, 벼의 수확이 완료되는 시점까지 진행될 예정이다. 금년도 발생 조사 결과는 지난 2021년도 결과와 비교하여 분석하고자 하였다. 현제까지의 결과, 여수시의 친환경단지 내 먹노린재 의 발생은 모내기가 완료된 이 후 2주 경과 시점에서 발견되었으며, 곡성군은 4주 경과 시점에서 발견되었고, 발생 최고점은 여수시의 경우 모내기 후 6주 경과 시점으로, 곡성군의 경우 5주 경과 시점으로 나타났다. 먹노린재 의 대발생이 지속되던 2021년도의 결과와 비교하였을 때, 2023년도 결과도 유사한 것으로 나타났다. 이에 따라, 먹노린재 친환경제재 살포 시기는 모내기 후 2주 경과 시점이 적절한 것으로 나타났으며, 2차 방제 시점에 대해서 는 추가 조사를 통해서 제안하고자 한다.

신재생 에너지인 풍력발전의 요구와 이에 따른 운용기술은 공급자 및 수요자 측면 모두에게 중요하다. 바람에 따라서 유동적인 풍력발전을 보다 효율적으로 이용하기 위해서는 안정된 제어기술이 요구되며, 현재 선진국에서는 소규모의 디젤-하이브리드 시스템을 구축하여 보다 안정된 전력을 공급한다. 본 논문에서는 하이브리드 시스템을 모의 하기 위해서 각 기기에 대한 모델링과 이들을 연결하는 네트워크 모델링을 수행하였으며, Matlab Simulink를 통해서 본 시스템을 검증하였다.
