This paper presents the results of a study on the control system for an underwater manipulator controlled by a master arm through LED communication. The underwater manipulator was designed to be actuated by electric motors with six degrees of freedom for operation in various underwater environments. The master arm, which can remotely control the manipulator, was designed with a structure similar to the manipulator for convenient control. An underwater LED communication system was developed to communicate between the master arm and underwater manipulator. An integrated control program was developed that included data conversion, monitoring, datalogging, and filtering. Some experiments were performed to verify the performance of the developed control system of the master arm, manipulator, and LED communication system, and the results are presented

In this paper, We introduce the development of a new pallet recognition system using Kinect sensor. As It can be adapted to tough environments of various distribution centers, We use the infrared Depth Image. The modularized hardware system can be applied to the automatic guided vehicle and unmanned forklift. Also, The user can utilize directly and easily by configuring the user interface program in various environments. It was developed to be applicable for your environment, and performance of the developed pallet recognition system was tested through experiments under various environment, and These tests show good performance and robust recognition for each environment.
비동기식 센서 융합을 이용한 수중 구조물 부착형 수중 위치 인식 시스템 개발

한국해양과학기술원에서는 수중 공사용 구조물에 적용할 수 있는 수중 위치 인식 기술을 개발하고 있다. 정밀한 위치 인식을 위해 관성 항법을 기반으로 한 확장 칼만 필터를 사용하였으며, 비동기화 된 센서들의 데이터를 알고리즘 보정 단계에 적용하기 위하여 내부의 관측 행렬을 데이터에 따라 구분하여 업데이트 하였다. 수중 공사 환경, 설치 위치, 시스템 운용 편의성 등을 종합적으로 고려하여 수중 공사 구조물 하부에 붙여야 신호를 획득할 수 있는 Doppler velocity logger(DVL)는 설치 및 회수가 어렵기 때문에 이를 배제한 수중 공사 구조물 부착용 수중 위치 인식 복합시험체를 제작하였으며 수조 환경에서 수중 위치 인식 성능 시험을 수행하였다. Ultra short-base line(USBL)로 측정된 수중 위치, 위치 벡터만 보정된 추정 위치, 그리고 위치와 속도 벡터를 보정한 추정 위치 결과를 원형 공산 오차(CEP)를 이용하여 비교 및 평가하였다. 그 결과 USBL 단독 위치 추정 CEP 0.02 m, 위치 벡터만 보정한 추정 위치 CEP 3.76m., 위치 및 속도 벡터를 보정한 추정 위치 CEP 0.06 m로 평가되었다. 본 연구를 통해 DVL이 미적용된 비동기식 센서들을 이용하여 안정적인 수중 위치를 추정할 수 있음을 확인하였다. An underwater positioning method that can be applied to structures for underwater construction is being developed at the Korea Institute of Ocean Science and Technology. The method uses an extended Kalman filter (EKF) based on an inertial navigation system for precise and continuous position estimation. The observation matrix was configured to be variable in order to apply asynchronous measured sensor data in the correction step of the EKF. A Doppler velocity logger (DVL) can acquire signals only when attached to the bottom of an underwater structure, and it is difficult to install and recover. Therefore, a complex sensor device for underwater structure attachment was developed without a DVL in consideration of an underwater construction environment, installation location, system operation convenience, etc.. Its performance was verified through a water tank test. The results are the measured underwater position using an ultra-short baseline, the estimated position using only a position vector, and the estimated position using position/velocity vectors. The results were compared and evaluated using the circular error probability (CEP). As a result, the CEP of the USBL alone was 0.02 m, the CEP of the position estimation with only the position vector corrected was 3.76 m, and the CEP of the position estimation with the position and velocity vectors corrected was 0.06 m. Through this research, it was confirmed that stable underwater positioning can be carried out using asynchronous sensors without a DVL.
소포체 스트레스를 매개한 curcumin의 폐암세포주 사멸효과

In the present study, we investigated the effect of curcumin, a major well-known compound isolated from rhizomes of Curcuma longa, on the apoptotic cell death and the potential action mechanism of this effect in human lung carcinoma cell lines. The results showed that curcumin inhibited the cell viability in a concentration-dependent manner in both H292 and H358 human lung carcinoma cells. Treatment of curcumin activated caspase-3 evidenced by increased cleaved protein of caspase-3, and subsequently, induced cleavage of PARP. In line with this, Annexin V/PI staining clearly showed that curcumin-induced apoptosis in both cell lines. Interestingly, CCAAT-enhancer-binding protein homologous protein (CHOP), a key molecule involved in endoplasmic recticulum (ER) stress-mediated apoptosis, was significantly increased by curcumin treatment. Collectively, the results suggest that ER stress via CHOP induction might play a significant role in curcumin- induced apoptotic death of human lung carcinoma cells.

Conservative treatment on lateral malleolar bursitis is effective, but recurrence is common. Steroid injection or surgical procedure has been used for the treatment, but the recurrence rate is high. In this report, we present a case of lateral malleolar bursitis of the ankle that was treated by the injection of a sclerosant, OK-432 (Picibanil., Chugai Pharmaceutical Co, Japan) 0.03 mg. Sufficient sclerosing effect was acquired from 0.03 mg of OK-432, although the amount of OK-432 was less than previously reported. Sclerotherapy of OK-432 and active treatment for the complication can be safe and effective method of treatment for chronic lateral malleolar bursitis of the ankle.

In this paper, a temperature control for LED (light emitting diode) lamp using a cooling fan is studied. An efficient temperature control scheme for the LED lamp using the fan wind at the lowest sound noise is studied. For the study, after measurement of the minimum sound noise of the fan and related temperature of the LED lamp through tests, experiments on temperature control of the LED lamp using the fan with various size of heat sinks was performed. To reduce the fan sound noise, a method of reducing the operation time with optimal size of the heat sink was studied. Also, a control of LED lamps using RF communication was studied.

Autoimmune regulator gene (Aire)는 흉선에서 발현되며 promiscuous genes으로 알려진 흉선에서 자가항원 발현을 조절한다. Aire 와 promiscuous genes은 흉선에서 T세포 tolerance와 자가면역에 관여한다. 말초 조직 즉 림프절에서 Aire의 역할을 알아보고자 림프절 구성 세포중 하나인 fibroblastic reticular cell (FRC)을 분리 확립하였다. 마우스 림프절로부터 분리된 FRC에서 Aire의 발현을 확인하였고 또한 promiscuous antigen인 insulin의 발현도 확인하였다. Aire 과발현 플라스미드로 형질전환 후 배양 FRC에서 Insulin의 발현이 증가하였다. 이것은 Aire가 FRC에서 promiscuous gene의 발현을 조절한다는 것을 보여주며 peripheral selection과 연관되어 있을 수 있다는 것을 제시한다. Autoimmune regulator gene (Aire) is expressed in the thymus and controls the expression of peripheral self-antigens, known as promiscuous genes. Aire and promiscuous genes are involved in T cell tolerance and autoimmunity in the thymus. Here, we identified Aire-expressing fibroblastic reticular cell (FRC), which was derived from mouse lymph node and also expressed in insulin promiscuous antigen. The expression of insulin was increased in cultured FRC over-expressed with Aire. These data suggest that Aire regulates promiscuous gene expression in FRC, and that this function might be under peripheral selection control.
