        Fabrication of arrangement-controlled and vertically grown ZnO nanorods by metal nanotransfer printing

        Vertically aligned ZnO nanorods have been widely investigated for use in piezoelectric generators,photovoltaic devices, nanotemplates, photoelectrochemical applications, etc. In addition to verticalalignment, intentional arrangement of ZnO nanorods according to a careful design can enhance thedevice performance. In this work, we used metal nanotransfer printing to fabricate arrangement-controlled and vertically grown ZnO nanorods on both hard andflexible substrates. Highly verticalgrowth and periodical arrangement of the ZnO nanorods were confirmed by microscope images. Theircrystallinity and photoluminescence characteristics were also investigated. Transmission spectra of thesubstrates show the enhancement of optical transmission after the nanorod growth. We believe that thisfabrication technique lends itself to simple fabrication of arrangement-controlled and vertically grownone-dimensional nanostructures on both hard andflexible substrates for application in solar cells, watersplitting, metamaterials, etc.

        Case Report : Neovascular Glaucoma Following Stereotactic Radiosurgery for an Optic Nerve Glioma: A Case Report

        A 13-year-old girl with a right intraorbital optic nerve glioma (ONG) was referred to our glaucoma clinic because of uncontrolled intraocular pressure (IOP) in her right eye. The IOP reached as high as 80 mmHg. Several months earlier, she had undergone stereotactic image-guided robotic radiosurgery using the CyberKnife for her ONG; the mass had become smaller after treatment. Her visual acuity was no light perception. Slit lamp examination revealed rubeosis iridis, a swollen pale optic disc, and vitreous hemorrhage. After medical treatment, the IOP decreased to 34 mmHg, and no pain was reported. Although the mass effect of an ONG can cause neovascular glaucoma (NVG), this case shows that stereotactic radiosurgery may also cause NVG, even after reducing the mass of the tumor. Patients who undergo radiosurgery targeting the periocular area should be followed carefully for complications.

      • Multilayer metal-oxide-metal nanopatterns via nanoimprint and strip-off for multispectral resonance

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>A fabrication technology for multispectral plasmonic resonators is presented on a basis of metal-insulator-metal (MIM) nanopattern arrays. Resonators comprised of MIM nanopatterns were fabricated using nanoimprint-based transfer and strip-off following MIM depositions. Two different kinds of configuration (web and hole) were developed for three and five layers of MIMs. The corresponding measured transmittance and reflectance spectroscopies were compared to their counterpart finite difference time domain (FDTD) simulation results. The results implied various plasmonic resonance couplings occurred at different locations around the metal structures, dependent on the layer and array configuration. By tuning the model geometry and simulation conditions, agreement between the experimental results and simulation was achieved. This work is believed to provide a viable fabrication method for multispectral resonance filters or sensors.</P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>(a) First, we developed a fabrication strategy for discrete multilayer nanopattern arrays comprised of alternate stacks of metal and oxide, the process of which is based on nanoimprint-coupled strip-off. The figure below shows five layers of alternating Ag and oxide in the web-trench (left) and hole arrays (right) after selective strip-off of the multilayers deposited only on the raised surface of the nanoimprinted patterns.</P> <P>(b) Second, we demonstrated explicit multispectral resonance peaks by both experimental measurements and an FDTD simulation, which are correlated with the number of stacks in metal-oxide-metal layers. Assisted by reflectance spectroscopy, the extinction peaks were estimated to result from MIM absorption and its associated resonance rather than reflective scattering. The figures below show both transmittance and reflectance of the experimental (Left) and simulation (Middle) results, in addition to the E-field distribution at the resonant wavelengths (Right) of the sample with 3MIMs deposited in hole arrays. Resonant peak wavelengths were formed at 643 and 810nm (experimental measurements), and at 675 and 870nm (FDTD simulation). Localized E-fields at each resonant wavelength were created strongly around the Ag layer, and result from the in-phase and out of phase charge oscillations inside the two Ag layers.</P> <P>[DISPLAY OMISSION]</P>

        Anion-dependent Hg<sup>2+</sup>-sensing of colorimetric (dppe)Pt(dmit) chemosensor (dppe: 1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane; dmit: 1,3-dithiole-2-thione-4,5-dithiolate)

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>The terminal >CS group in 1,3-dithiole-2-thione-4,5dithiolate (dmit) ligand of (dppe)Pt(dmit) (dppe: 1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane) is known to be coordinated to Hg<SUP>2+</SUP> ion. This is clearly shown by the bathochromic shift of the π→π<SUP>⁎</SUP> transition band in H<SUB>2</SUB>O/CH<SUB>3</SUB>CN solution (1:1 v/v). The band shifts are strongly anion-dependent. An equimolar amount of HgX<SUB>2</SUB> (Group I: X=ClO<SUB>4</SUB> <SUP>−</SUP>, TfO<SUP>−</SUP>, CH<SUB>3</SUB>SO<SUB>3</SUB> <SUP>−</SUP>, ½SO<SUB>4</SUB> <SUP>2−</SUP>, AcO<SUP>−</SUP>, and F<SUP>−</SUP>) led to the bathochromic shift, because of strong >CS⋯Hg<SUP>2+</SUP> interaction. In contrast, a mixed band (Group II: X=Br<SUP>−</SUP>, Cl<SUP>−</SUP>, and SCN<SUP>−</SUP>) or no band shift (Group III: Hg(CN)<SUB>2</SUB> and Hg<SUB>2</SUB>Cl<SUB>2</SUB>) was observed, because of the strong interaction between Hg<SUP>2+</SUP> and the anions. These results are related to the binding constant (<I>K</I>) of Hg<SUP>2+</SUP> ion with (dppe)Pt(dmit) chemosensor.         아동상담자의 독서치료 활용현황 및 인식연구

        성장ㆍ발달해 가는 과정 속에서 자연스럽게 부딪힐 수 있는 심리적 갈등 혹은 어려움뿐 아니라 다양한 원인들로 인해 발달적ㆍ임상적 측면에서 어려움을 겪고 있는 아동들에게 상당의 한 기법인 독서치료는 매우 효과적인 치료방법이다. 외국의 경우 그 효과성이 활발히 검증되고 있고 독서치료를 더욱 효과적으로 활용하기 위해서 치료자의 역할이 중요하다고 언급함에도 불구하고, 아직까지 국내에서는 독서치료에 관한 연구 및 현장에서의 독서치료 적용이 활발하게 이루어지고 있지 않은 실정이다. 따라서 아동상담자의 독서치료 활용현황과 독서치료에 대한 아동상담자의 인식수준을 파악하고, 아동상담자의 독서치료 인식수준에 따른 독서치료 활용가능성을 살펴봄으로써 많은 아동들이 적절한 시기에 도움을 받을 수 있도록 하는데 그 목적이 있다. The purpose of this study is to understand what extent child counselors are aware of the bibliotherapy to and how they can apply it to their sessions. The survey was taken by the child counselors who are currently active in the field. 150 questionnaires were distributed in the survey, but only 126 of them were properly filled out and used in the study. The questionnaire is primarily composed of questions that would gather information on how often bibliotherapy should be applied to child counseling and how much child counselors are aware of the bibliotherapy. The data were analyzed by using Cronbach ?, frequency, percentage, one-way ANOVA, Duncan multiple comparison method and x2tests. The results of this study are as follows: First of all only 15.9% of the survey participants apply the bibliotherapy to their session. And also only 17.46% of the participants take classes for bibliotherapy. However, most of the participants expressed that they want to learn about bibliotherapy and they are looking forward to applying it to their practices. Second, the degree of the participants awareness on bibliotherapy differs in their work locations and their counseling experience. The survey indicates that the counselor who works in the consultation facility of university possesses higher degree of awareness than that of the counselor who works in hospitals. The survey also shows that the participants with 3 to 6 years of experience apply the bibliotherapy to their practice more actively than those who with less than 3 years or more than 6 years of experience. It was shown that the counselor who works on consultation attached to university shows higher awareness than the counselor who works at hospital. Third, in this survey, they expressed willingness to learn bibilotherapy, which differs, again, in their work locations and their counseling experience. It shows that the counselors who work at consultation were more willing to get educated. Finally, in the result of having seen the difference in counselor's awareness on bibliotherapy according to application, it was shown that higher awareness group were willing to applicate each counselling session.
