Characterization of the Laser Scribing Process of HIT Cells for a Photovoltaic Shingled Module

Shingled string technology can be used to maximize the output power of photovoltaic modules. The maximum power (Pmax) of a shingled photovoltaic module can be increased by using a bifacial heterojunction with an intrinsic thin layer (HIT) of cells. To fabricate the shingled strings for a high power module, we first cut 6-inch solar cells by laser scribing while minimizing cutting loss. Unlike standard crystalline silicon (c-Si) solar cells, the structure of bifacial HIT solar cells is weak under thermal effect, so an optimal scribing condition had to be found. After laser scribing processes had been optimized, Pmax was increased by 0.02W for each separated solar cells when we using an ultraviolet (UV) laser compared to the green laser, and a UV cut shingled string of HIT cell was demonstrated for the first time.

지난 10여 년간 사유화 정책은 시장경제로 이행하기 위해서 러시아가 취해야 할 최우선 과제의 하나로 간주되었다. 이에 따라 군수산업 및 일부 에너지 분야를 제외한 모든 영역에서 사유화는 빠른 속도로 진행되어 왔다. 언론분야도 예외가 아니어서 옐친대통령 재임시기에 대부분의 국가소유 신문들과 TV 채널들이 사유화되거나 혹은 개인소유로 탄생되었다. 그러나 푸틴이 대통령으로 등장하면서 언론분야의 사유화는 역행되기 시작하였다. 일부 개인소유 언론매체들이 야당을 지지하고 정부정책에 비판적인 기사와 보도를 내보내자 이들을 “반국가적 행위(자)”로 매도하였다. 이어서 푸틴정부는 전국적 네트워크를 가진 주요 TV 채널과 신문들을 재 국유화시키는 정책으로 돌아섰고 이후 거의 모든 중앙 언론매체들을 국유화 하였다. 이에 대하여 러시아의 야당지도자들과 서방의 언론단체들은 푸틴정부가 언론장악을 통해 권위주의 정권으로 돌아섰다고 비판하고 있다. 이러한 양상에 주목한 본 논문은 러시아 언론매체의 사유화 과정과 연이은 재 국유화 과정을 검토하고 그것이 민주화에 미친 영향을 검토하는데 그 목적을 두고 있다.

Acoustic feedback is perceived as whistling or howling, which is a major complaint of hearing-aids users. Acoustic feedback cancellation is important in hearing-aids because acoustic feedback degrades performance of the hearing aid device by reducing maximum insertion gain. Adaptive systems for estimate acoustic feedback path and feedback suppression algorithms have been proposed in order to solve this problem. A typical feedback cancellation algorithm is LMS(least mean squares) because of its computational efficiency. However it has problem of convergence performance in high correlated input signal. In this paper, we propose a new variable step-size normalized LMS(least mean squares) algorithm using VAD(voice activity detection) to overcome the limitation of the LMS algorithm. The VAD algorithm is GSAP(global speech absence probability) and the feedback cancellation algorithm is normalized LMS. The proposed algorithm applies different step-size between voice and non-voice using VAD, for high stability, fast convergence speed and low misalignment when correlated inputs, such as speech. The result of simulation with white noise mixed speech signal, the proposed algorithm shows high performance then traditional algorithm in terms of stability, convergence speed and misalignment.
Enterobacter aerogenes를 이용한 crude glycerol 기반의 바이오에탄올 생산

The effects of pH, glycerol concentration and salt on cell growth and ethanol production using Enterobacter aerogenes KCTC 2190 were evaluated in the anaerobic culture condition. In condition of initial pH 5, cell growth and ethanol production were highest. An initial concentration of 10 g/L of pure glycerol gave the highest cell growth and ethanol production. However, in case of over 15 g/L of pure glycerol, they decreased. The cell growth and ethanol production decreased with the increase of salt concentration. When 10 g/L of crude glycerol was used as the carbon source, the cell growth and ethanol production were 1.32 OD600 and 3.95 g/L, respectively, which were about 94.4% and 88.5% compared to those of pure glycerol. These result indicates that the crude glycerol produced in the biodiesel manufacturing process may be useful as a potential carbon source for ethanol production form Enterobacter aerogenes KCTC 2190.
Analysis of floating photovoltaic system with shingled modules: monitoring and economic analysis

The foating PV power system using with shingled modules to maximize power generation efciency and its performance was analyzed through August 2020 to December 2020. The proposed system using the shingled module and its generated energy output was 20–30% more than the conventional PV system. Considering LCOE, it could be expected 22.223% reduction of LCOE and this power generation system which combines foating photovoltaic system and shingled modules is expected to have excellent economic feasibility as well as carbon reduction efects.

In this study, the pivotless tracking type floating photovoltaic system was demonstrated successfully. The photovoltaic modules were installed on buoyant objects and the dynamic stability reinforcement mooring gear, tension control equipment and buoyant stabilizer were used to provide enough buoyance and stability and response to the external environment. After installation of the pivotless tracking type floating photovoltaic system, generated solar energy was collected and analyzed.
관측신뢰도 적용에 의한 투표기법 기반의 화자인식시스템의 성능향상

Recently demands for the speech technology-based products targeted for the mobile terminals such as cellular phones and PDA are rapidly increasing. And voting-based speaker identification algorithm is known to have a good performance in the mobile environment, since it works well with small amount of speaker training data. In this paper, we proposed a method to improve the performance of this voting based speaker identification system by using the observation confidence value which is derived from the function of SNR each frame. The proposed method is evaluated with ETRI cellular phone DB which is made for the speaker recognition task. The experimental results show that the proposed method has better performance of 2-3% identification rate than the conventional GMM method.
Carbon-coated iron oxide nanoparticles as contrast agents in magnetic resonance imaging

<P>Coprecipitated ferrite nanoparticles were coated with carbon using a hydrothermal method. From transmission electron microscope pictures, we could see that the coated iron oxide nanoparticles were spherical in shape with an average diameter of 90 nm. The strong bonding of carbon on the nanoparticle surfaces was checked by noting the C = O and C = C vibrations in Fourier transform infrared spectra. The spin-lattice relaxation process [<I>T</I><SUB>1</SUB>] and spin-spin relaxation process [<I>T</I><SUB>2</SUB>] relaxivities of hydrogen protons in the aqueous solution of coated nanoparticles were determined to be 1.139 (mM·s)<SUP>-1 </SUP>and 1.115 (mM·s)<SUP>-1</SUP>, respectively. These results showed that the carbon-coated iron oxide nanoparticles are applicable as both <I>T</I><SUB>1 </SUB>and <I>T</I><SUB>2 </SUB>contrast agents in magnetic resonance imaging.</P><P><B>PACS</B>: 81.05.y; 76.60.Es; 61.46; 75.50.k; 87.61.</P>

기존의 기호주의적 인공지능 시스템은 경직성 문제로 인하여 유연성을 결여하고 있다. 이는 기호주의적 표현 체계가 의미구조를 충분히 반영하고 있지 못하기 때문이다. 본 연구팀에서는 실어증과 프라이밍 현상에 대한 연구를 통해 인간의 기억 및 회상 메커니즘의 근본적인 특징인 개념 간의 유사성과 연관성을 이용해 경직성 문제를 해결하고 유연한 추론을 수행하는 연결주의적 의미망을 제안하였다. 그러나 연결주의적 의미망은 상위개념간의 관계를 표현하는 데 있어서 단순한 전향 신경망을 이용함으로써 상위개념간의 일반적이고 구조화된 관계를 표현하는 데 어려움이 있었다. 이를 개선하기 위해 본 논문에서는 상위개념간의 일반적이고 구조화된 지식표현과 추론이 용이한 기호주의적 표현 체 계와 표현 체계 안에 효과적으로 의미구조를 반영할 수 있는 연결주의적 학습모델인 신경망을 결합 한 하이브리드 지식 표현 구조를 제안하고, 실험을 통하여 제안된 지식 표현 구조의 타당성을 보인다.
