The turbulent natural convection in the membrane type LNG carrier cofferdam with heating points has been studied by numerical method. As the numerical methods, we introduced the three turbulence model, a standard $k-{\varepsilon}$ model and two case of a low Reynolds number models. The parameters considered for this study ore number and capacity of heating points i.e., $1{\leq}Ns{\leq}12$ and $1.0{\times}10^5{\leq}Qs(W/m^3){\leq}1.0{\times}10^8$. The results of the isotherms and velocity vectors have been represented for various parameters. The temperature and velocity at upper position in the space ore shown to be higher than those at lower position. For obtaining the optimal temperatures, $20{\sim}30^{\circ}C$ in the cofferdam space, the heating capacities show $2.0{\times}10^7W/m^3$ at g-heating points and $1.0{\times}10^7W/m^3$ at 12-points. The mean temperature in the cofferdam space can be expressed as a function of number and capacity of heating points.

This study is analysis on the heat transfer of exhaust gas into the muffler at passenger car. Numerical analysis with Computational fluid Dynamics(CFD)was carried out to investigate exhaust gas flow. The STAR-CD S/W used for the three dimensional steady state CFD ananlysis in a muffler. The Navier-Stokes Equation is solved with the SIMPLE method in a general cartesian coordinates system. Result of numerical simulation; Inlet and outlet temperature shown about ΔT=239K, 216K, 202K at in the muffler. Heat transfer was progressed quickly by atmospheric temperature of muffler external at in the near wall.
냉풍 건조 시스템의 배플 배열각도 및 공기공급관 위치 변화에 따른 성능 향상에 관한 연구

Because the moist foods like anchovy were appeared lower quality by hot air that occurred the lipid oxidation, the drying system by using the cold air has been used widely. This study has been carried out on the performance improvement according to arrangement angle of baffle and location of air duct in the cold air dryer. The main parameters in this study are the arrangement angles which are without, 0°, 10°, 20°, 30° and 40°, and the locations of air duct are without, front, center and back. For this study we have conducted the numerical analysis method using fluent in order to obtain the optimal condition of the drying performance. As the arrangement angle of baffle is increased, the relative humidity is proportionally decreased, the value at 40° is 42.2% that indicate the reduction of about 4% than without it. After the air duct was installed, the decreased relative humidity is showed within 1%, therefore, the effect of air duct for improving the dry capacity is more large than the arrangement angle of baffle. Finally, we have obtained the optimal conditions that the arrangement angle is 40° with the air duct for a cold air dryer.

This research represents the catalytic converter for application in the motorcycle. We have to consider about catalytic converter for reducing exhaust gas strength regarding the displacement volume enlargement. The catalytic converter has been widely used to satisfy the regulations of pollutant emissions from automobiles. Recently, all catalytic converter researches are about automobile. Study about motorcycle catalytic converter has not been conducted yet. In this study, flow uniformity and pressure distribution were simulated in the monolithic inlet of catalytic converter for motorcycle. Exhaust pulsation pressure was set as transient condition about. It was found that flow uniformity shown in base model (0.85) was lower than megaphone model (0.98).
