A Rational Entry to Cyclic Polymers via Spontaneous and Selective Cyclization Reactions
Daisuke Aoki 한국고분자학회 2021 한국고분자학회 학술대회 연구논문 초록집 Vol.46 No.1
Although recent advances in chemistry have made it possible to synthesize polymers with various topologies, effective routes that selectively afford cyclic topology in high yield and quantity still remain limited. This is mostly due to difficulties associated with purification, and, in particular, the selectivity of macrocyclizations. In this work, effective synthetic methods for the cyclic polymers were developed by utilizing supramolecular chemistry1 and dynamic covalent chemistry.2 (1) D. Aoki et al., J. Objective: In Japan, cervical cancer screening consists of a cytology examination performed once every 2 years. We verified whether the risk of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) 3 disease or higher (CIN3+) was equivalent to that of cytology negative cases (negative for intraepithelial lesion or malignancy [NILM]) for patients with a cytological diagnosis of “atypical squamous cells of undetermined significance (ASC-US)” who tested negative for human papillomavirus (HPV). Methods: Data from a total of 22,925 cases who had undergone cervical cancer screening at least twice or who had completed follow-up examinations after cervical screening at a single facility between April 2013 and April 2018 were analyzed. The cumulative incidence of CIN3+ was calculated for each category of initial cytology finding and HPV result (NILM, > ASC-US, ASC-US/HPV (unknown), ASC-US/HPV+, and ASC-US/HPV−). The statistical analysis was conducted using the Cox proportional hazards model. Results: The hazard ratio for the cumulative incidence of CIN3+ in 2 years relative to that for NILM cases was 2.7 (95% confidence interval=1.0–7.8) for > ASC-US cases, 0.5 (0.1–1.7) for ASC-US/HPV (unknown), 0.8 (0.3–2.4) for ASC-US/HPV+ cases, and 0.3 (0.1–1.0) for ASC-US/HPV− cases. Conclusion: Because the cumulative incidence of CIN3+ at 2 years for the ASC-US/HPV− cases was sufficiently low, compared with that of the NILM cases, we considered it reasonable and safe to perform HPV triage for ASC-US cases and to allow HPV-negative cases to return for their next screening in 2 years, which is the same follow-up schedule as that for NILM cases.

An Experimental Study of the Nozzle Lip Thickness Effect on Supersonic Jet Screech Tones
Aoki Toshiyuki,Kweon Yong-Hun,Miyazato Yoshiaki,Kim Heuy-Dong,Setoguchi Toshiaki The Korean Society of Mechanical Engineers 2006 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.20 No.4
It is well known that screech tones of supersonic jet are generated by a feedback loop driven by the instability waves. Near the nozzle lip where the supersonic jet mixing layer is receptive to external excitation, acoustic disturbances impinging on this area excite the instability waves. This fact implies that the nozzle lip thickness can influence the screech tones of supersonic jet. The objective of the present study is to experimentally investigate the effect of nozzle-lip thickness on screech tones of supersonic jets issuing from a convergent-divergent nozzle. A baffle plate was installed at the nozzle exit to change the nozzle-lip thickness. Detailed acoustic measurement and flow visualization were made to specify the screech tones. The results obtained obviously show that nozzle-lip thickness significantly affects the screech tones of supersonic jet, strongly depending on whether the jet at the nozzle exit is over-expanded or under-expanded.

Aoki, S.,Bahk, S. Y.,Chung, K. S.,Chung, S. H.,Funahashi, H.,Hahn, C. H.,Hara, T.,Hirata, S.,Hoshino, K.,Ieiri, M.,Iijima, T.,Imai, K.,Ishigami, T.,Itow, Y.,Kazuno, M.,Kikuchi, K.,Kim, C. O.,Kim, D. C 國立昌原大學校 基礎科學硏究所 1992 基礎科學硏究所論文集 Vol.3 No.-
We have studied 80 events of candidates for ??? capture star at rest in nuclear emulsion, where ??? hyperons are produced in (??????) reactions identified by a ?? spectrometer. The weak decay of heavy double hypernuclei is confirmed, studying the distribution of visible energy-release and the probability of emission of two fast protons, in comparison with those for single hypernuclei.
Generation of monoclonal antibodies specific for ORF68 of koi herpesvirus
Aoki, T.,Takano, T.,Unajak, S.,Takagi, M.,Kim, Y.R.,Park, S.B.,Kondo, H.,Hirono, I.,Saito-Taki, T.,Hikima, J.i.,Jung, T.S. Pergamon Press 2011 Comparative immunology, microbiology and infectiou Vol.34 No.3
Outbreaks of koi herpesvirus (KHV) infection in carp are still a serious problem worldwide. KHV is closely related to other two cyprinid herpesviruses, pox herpesvirus (CHV) and haematopoietic necrosis herpesvirus (CyHV-2) in goldfish. In this study, two major KHV antigenic proteins (ORF62 and ORF68) were identified by immunoscreening using a KHV-specific polyclonal antibody, and then monoclonal antibodies were generated for immunodiagnostic studies. After screening hybridoma cells, one mAb against ORF68 (mAb-7C6) was obtained but no mAbs against ORF62. mAb-7C6 specifically reacted with a lysate of KHV-infected koi fin cells (KF-1 cells) but not with lysates of CHV- or CyHV-2-infected KF-1 cells in an immuno-blotting analysis. Similar results were shown in the following tests: (1) a indirect fluorescent antibody test using infected KF-1 cells and (2) an immunohistochemical investigation by fast red stain (infected liver) or FITC detection (infected spleen). These results suggested that mAb-7C6 specifically reacts with KHV ORF68 protein.
The Concept of the 'Launching State' Revisited
Aoki, Setsuko 한국항공우주법학회 2002 한국항공우주정책·법학회지 Vol.15 No.-
Commercialization and privatization of outer space has been developing to the extent that public space law regime established at the UN seems to be somewhat incompatible with the today's commercial launching services. Thus, this paper analyzes, at first, the UN space treaties to specify the obstacles for promoting commercial use. The necessity of some covert amendment of UN treaties is suggested through the national space legislation. Then three state practices are examined to propose a new concept of the "launching state" including the Sea Launch project, since the concept of the "launching state" is of the major importance to enact an effective national act to better accommodate UN space treaties to the present necessity.
Search for the H Dibaryon in (K^-,K^+) Reactions
Aoki, S.,Chung, K.S.,Park, I.G.,Song, J. S. 慶尙大學校 기초과학연구소 1990 基礎科學硏究所報 Vol.6 No.-
We have studied (K^-,K^+) reactions from an emulsion target. The S=-2H dibaryon has been searched for by the analysis of the K^+ momentum spectrum together with emulsion data. No evidence of H production was observed in the mass range of 1.90-2.16 GeV/C^2. Upper limits for the production cross section of the H are (0.2-0.6)% of that for the quasifree≡^- production at the 90% confidence level.
