Accurate estimation of the state of health (SOH) of lithium-ion batteries is an important determinant of their safe and stable operation. In this paper, a method for the SOH estimation of lithium-ion batteries based on the least squares support vector machine error compensation model (LSSVM-ECM) is proposed. This method achieves a combination of an empirical degradation model and a data-driven method. Battery degradation can be divided into overall trends and local differences, where the former can be described by an empirical degradation model (EDM) established by the historical data of the battery capacity, while the latter can be mapped by a least squares support vector machine (LSSVM). An LSSVM-ECM is established, where the input is the time interval of the equal charging voltage rising (DV_DT) and the output is the fitting error of the EDM, which represents the local difference of the capacity degradation to dynamically compensate the prediction results of the EDM that represents the global trend in terms of the capacity degradation. Validations are carried out with battery data provided by Oxford and NASA datasets. Results show that the proposed method has a high prediction accuracy and a strong robustness.

Matricellular protein SPON2 acts as an HCC suppressor and utilizes distinct signaling events to perform dual functions in HCC microenvironment.

Tumor-associated macrophages (TAM) represent key regulators of the complex interplay between cancer and the immune microenvironment. Matricellular protein SPON2 is essential for recruiting lymphocytes and initiating immune responses. Recent studies have shown that SPON2 has complicated roles in cell migration and tumor progression. Here we report that, in the tumor microenvironment of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), SPON2 not only promotes infiltration of M1-like macrophages but also inhibits tumor metastasis. SPON2-α4β1 integrin signaling activated RhoA and Rac1, increased F-actin reorganization, and promoted M1-like macrophage recruitment. F-Actin accumulation also activated the Hippo pathway by suppressing LATS1 phosphorylation, promoting YAP nuclear translocation, and initiating downstream gene expression. However, SPON2-α5β1 integrin signaling inactivated RhoA and prevented F-actin assembly, thereby inhibiting HCC cell migration; the Hippo pathway was not noticeably involved in SPON2-mediated HCC cell migration. In HCC patients, SPON2 levels correlated positively with prognosis. Overall, our findings provide evidence that SPON2 is a critical factor in mediating the immune response against tumor cell growth and migration in HCC.

Significance: Matricellular protein SPON2 acts as an HCC suppressor and utilizes distinct signaling events to perform dual functions in HCC microenvironment.

Graphical Abstract: http://cancerres.aacrjournals.org/content/canres/78/9/2305/F1.large.jpg. Cancer Res; 78(9); 2305–17. ©2018 AACR.

Graphical Abstract

[Figure]

An Economic Elucidation of the Antidumping Issue
Zhang Shujuan,ang Xiaotian 조선대학교 지식경영연구원 2005 지역개발연구 Vol.10 No.1
The paper constructs simple models to analyze the players' actions and motivations in the antidumping issue. On the basis of it the study goes deep into the characteristics of foreign antidumping against China and their causes and draws some important conclusions. Not only is there defects in the conventional definition of dumping but also the definition of dumping in Antidumping Agreement of WTO is necessary to be improved. We must tune up the drawback policy of exported goods lest it should become the backing exporters' malign competition and the excuse of foreign antidumping. The same antidumping tax on our exporters enormously cools down their enthusiasm. The main cause of the characteristics of foreign antidumping against China lies in Foreign Discrimination against China, especially Non-Market Economy Country.
Herbal medicine and pattern identification for treating COVID-19: a rapid review of guidelines
Lin Ang,Hye Won Lee,Jun-Yong Choi,Junhua Zhang,Myeong Soo Lee 한국한의학연구원 2020 Integrative Medicine Research Vol.9 No.2
Background: Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is pandemic and has caused illness to many people worldwide. This review aimed to summarize and analyze the herbal formulae provided by the guidelines for their pattern identifications (PIs) and compositions of herbs to treat patients with COVID-19. Methods: We searched 7 data sources for eligible traditional medicine guidelines up to March 6, 2020 and found a total of 28 traditional medicine guidelines that provide treatment measures for COVID-19. Results: Of the 28 guidelines, there were 26 government-issued Chinese guidelines and 2 Korean guidelines. After standardizing the terminology of the PIs and herbal formulae, there were 8 PIs and 23 herbal formulae for the mild stage, 11 PIs and 31 herbal formulae for the moderate stage, 8 PIs and 21 herbal formulae for the severe stage, and 6 PIs and 23 herbal formulae for the recovery stage in the Chinese guidelines. In the Korean guidelines, there were 4 PIs and 15 herbal formulae for the mild stage, 3 PIs and 3 herbal formulae for the severe stage, and 2 PIs and 2 herbal formulae for the recovery stage. In the frequency analysis of herbs, Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, Armeniacae Semen Amarum, Ephedrae Herba, and Gypsum Fibrosum were found to be the herbs with the high frequency of usage in the Chinese guidelines. Conclusion: This review can be used as guidance for the traditional medicine treatment of COVID-19. Clinical evidence is needed in the future to evaluate the efficacy of traditional medicine.
A self-powered β-Ga2O3/CsCu2I3 heterojunction photodiode responding to deep ultraviolet irradiation
Gao Ang,Jiang Weiyu,Ma Guoliang,Liu Zeng,Li Shan,Yan Zuyong,Sun Weiming,Zhang Shaohui,Tang Weihua 한국물리학회 2022 Current Applied Physics Vol.33 No.-
In this paper, a lead-free halide perovskite CsCu2I3 film with high stability was prepared by the anti-solvent assisted crystallization method. Then, we coupled it with Ga2O3 to prepare a corresponding heterojunction deep ultraviolet (UV) photodetector. After testing, we concluded that the photodetector is sensitive to 254 nm UV light. The photodetector has good reproducibility, and has an ultra-high photo-to-dark current ratio (PDCR) of more than 105. In addition, under a bias of 10 V and an illuminated intensity of 200 μW/cm2, the responsivity (R) and specific detectivity (D*) reached 20 mA/W and 107 cm Hz1/2 W 1 (Jones), and the external quantum efficiency (EQE) is 10%. Meanwhile, the prepared photodetector could operate at zero bias, i.e., self-powered operation, along with a photocurrent of about 1 nA under illumination with UV light intensity of 200 μW/cm2.
THE BIG WORD EFFECT: IMPACT OF USING BIG WORDS ON BACKERS’ FUNDING BEHAVIOR IN CROWDFUNDING
Qiang Zhang,Yeyi Liu,Yuanyuan Liu,Dionysius Ang 글로벌지식마케팅경영학회 2023 Global Marketing Conference Vol.2023 No.07
Crowdfunding is an increasingly popular fundraising tool where project creators solicit capital from potential backers in return for monetary rewards or presales of products/services. Potential backers in crowdfunding are looking for potential cues to reduce uncertainty and predict new venture success when making their capital contributions. To increase their funding success, project creators strategically use project descriptions as a marketing tool to attract potential backers and funding.
