Platycodon radix is a dried root of Platycodon grandiflorum (P. grandiflorum) A. DC, a perennial grown on the hills and fields in Korea and Japan, or cultivated in various districts. Recently, P. grandiflorum (Changkil) has been successfully cultivated for more than 20 years and generally has been employed as folk remedy for adult diseases such as hyperlipidemia, hypertension and diabetes. We investigated various biological activities of the extracts from Changkil. When treated in vitro with B16-F1 mouse melanoma cell lines, it showed 100% laminin-binding inhibitory activities at the concentration over 0.125mg/ml. In in vivo test it showed 61.5% reduction of the solid tumor weight transplanted in mice and exhibited anticancer activity of 128% ILS against Sarcoma-180 ascites. It also increased the ratio of positive cells of natural killer cells in lymphocytic composition against Sarcoma-18O ascites and solid tumor transplanted in ICR mice when tests were carried out by FACScan method.

We propose a novel application of laser engraving to patterning of light guide panel (LGP) for backlight. The feasibility of three-dimensional engraved pattern in the LGP was verified by measuring brightness and uniformity. To improve the overall uniformity, we have modified proposed patterns and found improved design for patterns. The tailoring of pattern by using laser engraving method could endow the controllability of uniformity. The proposed LGPs are more efficient in both average brightness and uniformity of illumination than the conventional LGPs which have surface pattern on the panel.

We presented the proper laser processing conditions for the capillary line marking, which could be applied for the fabrication of injection needles. With changing the parameters such as lamp current, duty cycle and beam amplification factor of beam expander, we evaluated the processing performance considering amount of dross, processing efficiency and processed linewidth in the sample. We could carry out the proper line marking at the condition of 70% lamp current, duty cycle of 7-10% and 6-times amplification of beam diameter. To perform efficient line processing, the utilization of duty cycle of 12% at 80% lamp current was also preferred.

(1H-1,2,4-Triazolyl) methyl-4-(sub.) phenyl-5-methyl-1,3-dioxolan-2-yliden (3) derivatives were synthesized and tested for their antifungal activities. The designed compounds with a 1,2,4-triazolyl-methyl group at the 4-position of 1,3-dioxolan-2-yliden moiety were synthesized by reaction of difluorinated olefins (2) with (2R,3R)-2-(2,4-dihalophenyl)-1-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)butane-2,3-diol (1). These compounds were tested for in vitro antifungal activities against 16 fungi species. The MIC values were determined by the micro broth dilution method. In general, 1,3-dioxolan-2-[1-(3,4-methylenedioxyphenyl) methylidene)-1,3-dioxolon-4-yl(1H-1,2,4-triazol1yl)methane showed superior antifungal activities to fluconazol and ketoconazol.

Phase Lacked Loop(PLL)은 분산전원을 계통연계시 동기설정을 위해 중요한 장비이다. 이러한 동기설정은 Point of Common Coupling(PCC)에서 계통 전압을 검출하여 크기와 위상을 동일하게 설정하여 전력변환장치에서 전력을 출력한다. 일반적으로 PCC에서 계통전압을 검출하였을 때 고조파, 상간불평형은 전력변환장치 출력 왜곡을 야기 시킨다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 출력왜곡을 감소시키기 위한 3상 PLL을 모델링하여, 그 제어 성능을 시뮬레이션을 통해 확인하였다.

Hematological findings in albino rat at the 15th days after gestation was observed. The results obtained were as follows: 1. The red cell count, hemoglobin concentration and hematocrit fell during pregnancy. No significant changes in the erythrocyte count and hematocrit were found, but a slight significant decrease(p$lt;0.05) in hemoglobin concentration was acknowledged. 2. The mean corpusular vlume, mean corpusular hemoglobin and mean corpusular hemoglobin concentration did not vary from the nonpregnant normal. 3. The total leukocyte count increased during pregn ancy, but there was no significance. 4. A highly significant increase (p$lt;0.01) in neutrophils during pregnancy was found. On the contrary. a highly significant decrease (p$lt;0.01) in lymphocytes was shown. 5. Lymphocyte per neutrophil ratio was reduced and it was statistically significant (p$lt;0.5).
도입육용계의 경제성과 다원교배에 의한 우량육용계 선발에 관한 연구

This study was carried out to determine and compare the economic value of imported and domestic broiler stocks, and to select superior broiler stocks by crossbreeding. Seven hundred and eighty chicks of 13 kinds of crosses from mating of Cornish males with White Plymouth Rock, Rhode Island Red, New Hampshire, and White Leghorn females and 180 chicks of 3 kinds of imported broiler stocks were compared in this study. The results obtained are as follows. 1. Viability There was no significant difference in viability (0-4 weeks and 4-10 weeks) between domestic and imported broiler stocks. The death rate of the purebreds was higher than the crossbreds. The death of the bird was due mainly to catarrh of crop and salmonella disease. 2. Growth rate The highest body weights at 8 weeks of age were 1,454gm (stock D) for imported stocks and 1,330gm (stock CRW) for domestic stocks. The body weights at 10 weeks of age was also higher in the stocks, $quot;D$quot; and $quot;CRW$quot; than other stocks. There was no significant difference in the growth rate among the three imported stocks and among CW, CWR, and CRW during 0-4 weeks. During 4-10 weeks, the growth rate of the imported stocks was higher than the domestic stocks, but was not significantly different from the best domestic stock, namely the stock CRW. 3. Feed conversion The average feed conversion at 8 weeks of age was 2.51 for the three imported stocks, and 2.61 for the three superior domestic stocks. The difference in feed conversion at 10 weeks of age was also 0.1. 4. Carcass rate and Grade Carcass rats and grade were classified by USDA grading system. Imported and superior domestic broiler stocks were A grade. CN, CR, CLN and CWL were B grade and others were C grade. Carcass rate of imported and superior domestic broiler stock were 77.5∼78.5% and the rate of semi-broiler was 75∼76%. 5. Economic efficiency The largest incomes at 8 weeks of age were 79.05 Won per bird in CRW of demestic stock and 73.16 Won per bird in imported stock $quot;A$quot;. Also the incomes at 10 weeks of age were 111.8 Won in $quot;A$quot; and 109.09 Won in $quot;CRW$quot;. The average income at 8 and 10 weeks of age of three superior domestic stock were higher than three kinds of imported broiler stocks.
