This paper includes the algorithm of eliminating noise, the processing technique of sensor and the results of designing vital and environmental sensor, one of the survivability subsystem of Future Soldier System. In this paper, we propose the adaptive filtering, moving noise removal in order to detect signals stabilized. And these help that we get bio-signals the ECG calculating methods such as search back and ensemble method. It is made up the vital and environmental sensor including the flexible sensor. In that sense, this study can be applied when it is planned the modular type Future Soldier System.

In the traditional percussion locks of small arms, a firing pin is struck by a hammer rotating on a single center of rotation, which makes the percussion mechanism simple and reliable. In order to strike the firing pin by the hammer, however, the firing pin should be located within the radius of rotation of the hammer. As the distance between the striking point of the firing pin and the center of rotation of the hammer becomes longer, the radius of rotation of the hammer should also be increased, which results in the increase of the volume and weight of the small arms because the hammer needs the more space for its operation inside of the small arms. In this paper, a link type percussion lock was newly proposed in order to overcome the limitation of designing small arms when using traditional percussion locks, as mentioned above. The link type percussion lock was modeled by using multi-body dynamics software and designed to satisfy the requirements such as striking force level of the hammer exerting on the firing pin enough to detonate the percussion cap of ammunitions and the safety on the accidental drop. It was applied to the newly developed dual-barrel weapon system, in which the weight and overall length are important design factors, and verified by durability test and drop test on the ground.

Nowadays, various forms of electro-optical rifle scope have been developed and used in order to enhance the accuracy of small arms. However, firing shock acceleration has characteristics of pyroshock having a big acceleration value with very short duration time, which the electro-optical scopes should be designed to sustain. In this paper, the firing shock acceleration, which is transmitted to the electro-optical scope, was measured and SRS (Shock Response Spectrum) analysis was performed by using the measured firing shock acceleration. Furthermore, a shock test condition using a drop-table shock tester, which can simulate the actual firing shock acceleration, was devised. The devised shock test condition will be utilized to test the electro-optical scope itself before attaching it to the small arms.

미래병사체계(이하 개인전투체계)란 화기, 피복 및 휴대품에 이르기까지 혁신적인 첨단기술을 적용하여 소부대 전투원이 네트워크 중심전(NCW) 작전 환경하에서 Sensor to Shooter 기능을 수행할 수 있도록 병사의 능력을 극대화하는 것이다. 특히 네트워크 중심전에서의 역할이 크게 대두되리라 예상된다. 이를 위하여 5가지 기본전략 즉 치명성, 지휘통제, 생존성, 임무지속성 및 기동성을 향상시켜 병사를 통합 시스템화하여야 한다. 이에 따른 모듈 통합형 개인전투체계의 핵심소요기술을 식별하고 연구개발 기술동향을 분석하고자 한다. Future soldier as a weapon system is connected with the real time network system. That will be more powerful than any other soldier. Future warrior system is developed for future warrior to operate optimized sensor and shooter on future combat situation taking into account Network Centric Warfare environment. So future warrior is needed to systemized considering lethality, Command & Control, survivability, sustainability and mobility. Therefore we identified the key technology of Integrated Modular Future Soldier System and analyzed the State of the Art of Integrated Modular Future soldier system by Technical Breakdown System.

In this study, the dynamic absorbing system for gas operated gun has been investigated. For this purpose, firstly. mathematical model of gas-operated shoulder-fired gun has been constructed. Through a series of experimental works using the devised test setup, the characteristic behavior of mathematical model was compared to the test results. In order to design the dynamic absorbing system, parameter optimization process has been performed based on the simplified isolation system under constraints of moving displacement and transmitted force. In order to implement the more efficient dynamic absorbing system, the characteristic performance of stroke-dependent variable damping system has been analyzed with some opening area curves. Finally, the performance of the designed dynamic absorbing system has been evaluated by simulation and experiment using the previous test apparatus.

본 연구는 소구경 화기의 총열 수명 신뢰성 분석에 대한 내용이다. 연구의 진행은 총열의 잔여수명을 예측할 수 있는 변수를 선정하는 것에서 출발하였으며 기존의 예측기법인 총열의 Gage 내경을 계측을 통해 확인하여 마모정도를 측정하는 방법과는 달리, 야전에서 사용가능한 분산도와 사격량과의 관계를 예측하여 총열의 신뢰성 및 잔여수명 예측에 대한 가설을 설정하고 연구를 진행하였다. 실사격을 통해 수행한 선행시험을 통해 나온 결과를 바탕으로 회귀분석 기법을 통해 적합한 실험식을 유도한 이후 검증시험을 통해 수식이 사용 가능함을 확인하였으며, 사용군의 운용시험을 통해 검증하고 결과를 분석하였다. This study proposes a method for predicting the reliability of the barrel in small arms by analyzing the dispersion. The periodicity with which the barrel needs to be changed can be determined by detecting the inner surface directly or by inspecting scratches inside the barrel using an optical sensor. However, soldiers and directors in the logistics command need a more easy way to check the periodicity of barrel. Therefore, this study focuses on the relation between the firing round and the dispersion. A simple equation can be experimentally derived from pre-tests and analyses. This equation is confirmed through firing tests. In this sense, it can be easily applied to determine the periodicity with which the barrel of small arms needs to be changed in the field army.

Under the urban and counter-terrorism operations, soldiers are always exposed to danger from enemy fire. In case of foreign countries such as Israel, refracted firearm draw lots of attention due to its effectiveness from the beginning of its development and produced a lot of outcome such as increase of survivability and effective mission performance. Korean special operation forces are now using Israel"s CornerShot. However, continuous improvement requirements have been raised from the soldiers using CornerShot. Based on the derived improvement requirements of CornerShot, Korean refracted firearm for concept realization was recently developed. In this paper, results of research on concept realization of refracted firearm for special operations were briefly described and some complementary items to be considered during the full-scale development phase were derived.
