Biodegradation of cruide oil at sea surface is limited with nutrients concentration. The limiting factors of cruide oil biodegradation in natural seawater have responsed to the addition of the nitrogen and phosphorus. Nutrients consisting of the ratio of 10 part ammonium chloride and 1 part of potassium phosphate were encapsuled with waxes (n-paraffin and bees wax as the wall materials). We confirm the biodegradation is enhanced by the addition of microcapsules. The amount of liquid transported after the infinite time expressed in terms of the improved microcapsule weight is about 14.2%. The diffusivity of the internal water is expressed in terms of the concentration of liquid by The removed model oil by pseudomonas sp. was measured with different supply modes of microcapsules. 95% removal of the model oil (n-hexadecane) was observed in 10days.
Polyvinyl alcohol 함유 폐수의 전해처리에 관한 연구

The purpose of this study is to investigate into the electrolytic treatment of polyvinyl alcohol wastewater. In order to remove PVA from wastewater by electrolytic treatment. Fe electrode was used as a soluble electrode for this study. The results are summarized as follows : 1. PVA was removed nearly to 100% as the value of ampere hour concentration was more than 0.5 Ahr/ℓ. 2. Regardless of the initial pH of wastewater, the pH of wastewater after electrolytic treatment was among 10 and 11. So, it is necessary to neutralize the treated water. 3. PVA was removed quickly as the current density was rised, the electrode distance was approached, NaCl was added and the initial pH of wastewater was above 7.
