The 3DP(three dimensional printing) technology is one of the SFF(solid freeform fabrication) technologies which has recently come into a spotlight due to its adaptability to various application. This technology has a great advantage in terms of short fabrication time for a prototype at a low cost, especially when it comes with multi-nozzle inkjet printing technology. In this paper, we introduce a method of office type solid freeform fabrication using multi-piezo head.

Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) is currently recognized as a leading process in the new field of solid freeform fabrication (SFF). It is used to fabricate in a short time any 3 dimensional shapes by layer-by-layer sintering of polymer, ceramic or metal powder. To develop this SFF system, it needs effective laser scanning path, temperature and z-axis control for lamination. Therefore, in this study, through the application of control algorithm for sintering process have performed, temperature evaluation for sintering process has performed and the manufacturing sample using SLS process.

A manufacturing process of product is using many pattern formation technology. The 3DP technology uses multi nozzle that can fabricate three dimensional object of high speed and accuracy. In this paper, we introduce a development of the office type solid freeform fabrication system. This system is used UV resin and multi-piezo head.

High speed machining is the core technology that influences the performance of machine tools, and the high speed motor spindle is widely used for the high speed machine tools. The important problem in high speed spindle is to minimize the thermal effect by motor and bearing and frequency effect. This paper presents the thermal characteristic analysis and frequency experiment for a high speed spindle considering the flow rate of cooling oil. A high speed spindle is composed of angular contact ceramic ball bearings, high speed built-in motor, oil cooling jacket and so on. The thermal analyses of high speed spindle need to minimize the thermal effect and maximize the cooling effect and they are carried out under the various cooling conditions. Heat generations of the bearing and the high speed motor are estimated from the theoretical and experimental data. To find out the characteristic of vibration, the high speed spindle is excited in operational range. This result can be applied to the design and manufacture of a high speed tapping spindle.
