Restaurant managers seeking to maximize revenue should look carefully at how long their tables are occupied and how much the average diner spends. This study examined the effect of the customer`s party size on restaurant revenue. The dining periods were divided into 2 types (lunch vs. dinner/weekdays vs. weekends), which were combined to show the average spending per minute (SPM), to determine if the dining periods have measurable effects on the dining duration and average bill. The results show that the dining duration for dinner was much longer than that for lunch and there was no significant difference in dining duration between weekdays and weekends. On the other hand, customers in larger parties at lunch time had a higher SPM than those in smaller parties. A larger customer party size was associated with a longer dining duration for dinner and on weekdays. During all operating periods (lunch, dinner, weekdays, weekends), the party size had a significantly positive effect on the mean spending per minute. For restaurant managers, these findings suggest opportunities to increase revenue and adopt revenue management strategies.

This study, which took place in an Italian restaurant in Seoul, investigated the impact of meal duration on the evaluation of satisfaction and service quality, according to the service stages (order, cook, check) of a restaurant. Research procedures included two phases: during the first phase, data on expected-perceived meal duration, and service quality and satisfaction were collected by surveys, which were distributed at the restaurant. The second phase investigated the relationships among meal duration, customers` satisfaction, and service quality. T-tests and regression analyses were used to examine relationships between these variables. Results indicate that both failing to meet customers` expected meal duration, as well as the perceived meal duration could negatively impact the satisfaction and evaluation of service quality. The study confirmed that meal duration is indeed related to the responsiveness aspect of service quality. The important aspect of meal duration management is to improve service quality and satisfaction, which can lead to a restaurant`s success. Therefore, understanding the relationships among meal duration, satisfaction, and service quality is a part of a good foundation for effective meal duration management.
농업인 교육훈련이 직무만족에 미치는 영향: 심리적 자본의 조절효과를 중심으로

Recently, farmers` training has been expanding to ensure the competitiveness of agriculture and enhance their expertise in the agricultural workforce. The purpose of this study is to identify the effects of farmers` training on job satisfaction. In addition, this study aimed to verify the moderating effect of psychological capital being to be a major variable factor in the educational effect. Therefore, a survey was distributed to 250 farmers in Ulsan area. From April 1, 2015 the survey was conducted up to 14 days. Excluding defective data, 155 copies were used for final analysis. The training were divided into six groups, such as crops (animal feeding) technology, agricultural products processing, technical experts, agricultural management, information, and culture training. The study results are as follows: First, Cultural training has significant positive effects on job satisfaction. In Previous studies, either educational participation or training expenses of employees have a significant relationship between positive effects on job satisfaction. But in this case, crops (animal feeding) technology, agricultural products processing, technical experts, agricultural management, and information training do not affect on job satisfaction. However cultural training is satisfied cultural needs and assists founding of female farmers. And an intensive cultural training program increases intimacy among students. These things can be considered for such a reason. Second, psychological capital such as self-efficacy, hope, resilience ,and optimism has a positive effect on job satisfaction. It means that running a course or program to improve the psychological capital of the farmers improve the job satisfaction of farmers. Third, psychological capital plays the moderating role on the agricultural technical training between job satisfaction. The technical training is similar to that on the type of hands-on training of enterprise. Farmers believed in themselves and looked to the future with a view to positive are the more educational participation, the higher job satisfaction. In conclusion, farmers` training with the process of improving psychological capital are able to increase job satisfaction of farmers.

언어의 체계적인 변화 경향을 설명하기 위한 문법화 이론의 여러 개념 중 주관화 과정은 의미 변화의 경향성을 설명하기 위하여 도입된 이래 의미 변화의 방향과 이를 동기화하는 인지적 기제를 설명하는 데 유용하다. 본고는 지금까지 세 가지 경향성으로 기술되어 왔던 주관화 이론을 다섯 단계로 세분하며, 이를 위해 영역내 변화와 영역간 변화의 구분을 도입한다. 그리고 문법화 이론의 보완을 위하여, 주관화 이론이 문법화 이론과가지는 관계를 다시 고찰한다. ‘주관화’와, 그 영향으로 일어나는 체계적 언어 변화인 ‘화용화’는, ‘문법형태화’라는 좁은 의미로 사용되는 ‘문법화’ 이론에 체계적인 반례를 제공한다. 본고는 기존의 문법화 이론이 정립한 절 결합의 연속변이가 가진 방향성을 한국어에 일괄적으로 적용하기 어렵다는 점, 이 사례가 산발적인 예외가 아니라 ‘연결어미의 종결어미화’라는 형태로 체계적으로 발생하는 예외라는 점을 들어 문법화 이론의 수정이 필요함을 역설한다. 주관화 과정에 의해 동기화된 언어 변화, 특히 담화 장면에서의 화용화는 좁은 의미의 문법화 이론으로는 포착하기 어려운 일정한 경향성을 가진다. 주관화와 화용화가 던지는 문제 제기를 통해 문법화 이론을 점검함으로써 문법화의 외연을 확장할 필요성을 확인할 수 있다 In order to explain language change, concept of "subjectivization" is introduced and used to theorizing semantic changes. This paper intends to use subjectivization theory to give explanation of what happens in Korean, like the change from Connective endings to Final endings. This paper tried to devide the areas in subjectivization to five stages. Each of them is a semantic change which is occurred in the domain or between the domains. Pragmaticalization is motivated by Subjectivization, and shows not typical grammatical element as a result, but still Pragmaticalization shares common principles and motivations. Thus systemic changes from Subjectivization and Pragmaticalization are helpful to revisiting Grammaticalization.

Korean verb ‘Casi-’, which is treated as negative element in dictionaries, is actually a placeholder shows indefinite use, and ‘-ko casiko’ construction is understood as a member of a class of ‘Ending repetition construction’. However, unlike among others, ‘-ko casiko’ construction is now undergoing developement of its negative polarity. Because of its indefiniteness, ‘-ko casiko’ construction change its meaning into a universal negative when it is used in negative sentences.
