2-dimensional scattering problem of electromagnetic waves by a periodic strip grating on a grounded dielectric slab in case of oblique incidence and arbitrary polarization is analyed by the vector Floquet modal expansion method. Solution convergence versus number of Chebyshev polynomial terms representing the unknown strip current density and number of space harmonics is examined, and some numerical results such as variation of power of significant space harmonics(scattered mode) are compared with those obtained by previous method. In particaluar, the relationship between Bragg blazing phonmena and characteristics mode(current) on the srip is discussed in detail.

무한 도체평판에 있는 슬롯과 무한히 긴 가는 도선간의 전자기적인 결합문제를 MPIE(mixed potential integ gral equation)와 세분된 기저함수를 사용하는 2차원 모벤트법으로 해석하였다. 또한 폭이 좁은 슬롯의 경우에 타당한 중심표현법(center -representation)을 이용하여 동가회로를 구하였다. TM 편파된 평면파가 슬롯에 임의의 각으로 입사하는 경우에 슬롯에서의 등가자기전류와 도선에 유도된 전류를 구하였다. 그리고 도선과 무한 도체평판으로 구성된 전송선로에 전류를 인가할 때, 슬롯에 의한 전송선로의 반사계수 및 투과계수를 구하고 실험치와 비교하여 잘 일치함을 확인하였다. The problem of electromagnetic coupling into a thin conducting wire through a slot in an infinite conducting is analyzed by use of MPIE(mixed potential integral equation) and two- dimensional moment method using subsectional(rooftop) basis functions. The equivalent circuit is derived using a center-repesentation method which is valid in a narrow slot case. The equi- valent magnetic currents on the slot and the induced currents on the wire are caculated respec- tively, for the TM wave is incident upon the slot with arbitrary angle of incidence. The theoretical transmission coefficients of transmission line which is composed of thin-wire and infinite conducting plate with a narrow slot are compared and found to be in good agreement with experimental results.

An analysis method for the electromagnetic scattering of a tE polarized plane wave from a periodic strip grating over a grounded dielectric slab is consisered from the viewpoint of reflectio ngraing problem. The strip gratings showing bragg and off-bragg balzing phenomena at the frequency of 10GHz are designed, respectively. The strip grating structure is implemented using aluminum plate (hround conductor), paraffin(dielectric material ; .xi.$_{\gamma}$=2.24) and copper (strip conductor ; 0.08mm thickness). The experimental results (reflection power) for bragg as well as off-bragg blazing phenomenon have been compared with the theoretical results and fairly good agreements between theory and experiment have been observed.ed.

An analysis method for the electromagnetic scattering of a Tm polarized plane wave from a periodic strip grating over a grounded dielectric slab is considered from the viewpoint of reflection grating problem. The parameters of strip gratings showing Bargg and Off-Bragg blazing phenomena at the frequency of 10GHz are derived teoretically. The strip grating structure is implemented using Aluminum plate(groung conductor), paraffin(dielectric material.epsilon.$_{r}$=2.24), and copper(strip conductor0.08m thickness). The experimental results(reflection power) of Bragg as well as Off-Bragg blazing phenomenon for TM polarized plane wave have been compared with the theoretical results and fairly good agreements between theory and experiment have been observed.d.
