Smart Grid is defined as the intelligent electric network and realtime communication system between electric provider and consumer by not only integrating telecommunication technology, but electric producing, transmitting, and consuming process. Electronic providers can control the electric resource flexibly by real time monitoring. In the time zone relatively electric usage lower, the surplus energy can be used for Pumped storage hydroelectricity and kept to use for peek time. While, electric consumers can check out the amount of the usage in anywhere: home, office, and factory. To reduce the amount of the bill, consumers can avoid the electric peek time and utilize electricity in the lower price time zone. The advantages of Smart Grid Technology; The first, energy can be saved by generating the demanding electricity with network monitoring. The second, air pollution can be reduced by utilizing electricity efficiently. Lastly, the quality of electricity can be improved by controlling unexpected disruption of supplying exact electricity. Recently, the government recognized that Smart Grid is the one of the most crucial industries in the near future. The plan of constructing a demonstration complex in Jejudo is released to the public. The total budget is going to reach 58 billion won until 2013. In the complex, the managing electric technology is examined by applying Smart Grid on the actual life. The Smart Grid Exhibition Center, in which the necessary of developing Smart Grid will be presented by illustrating technological details, is planned for enlightening the public.
위치기반서비스(LBS)적용 전시관의 콘텐츠 체험방식과 기술특성에 관한 연구

Opened on November 2008, as the public exhibition center of a telecommunication company, T.um is dedicated for delivering the future ubiquitous technologies and business vision of the company leading domestic mobile communication business to the global expected clients and business partners. Since the public opening, not only over 18,000 audiences in 112 nations have been visiting T.um, but also the public media have been releasing news regarding the ubiquitous museum constantly. By the reasons, T.um is regarded as a successful case for public exhibition centers. The most distinguished quality of the museum is established by the Location Based Service technology in the initial construction stage. A visitor in anyplace of T.um can be detected by digital devices equipped GPS systems. The LBS system in T.um allows visitors to get the information of relevant technologies as well as the process of how to operating each content at his own spots by smart phone of which wireless network systems make it possible. This study is focusing on analyzing and defining the T.um special qualities in terms of technologies to provide the basic data for following exhibition space projects based on LBS. The special method of experiencing contents can be designed by utilizing the network system applied to T.um in the planning stage.

Nowadays, the constructions of dams are being issued by the public due to the preservation and protection of nature considered more important than development. These social phenomenon can not be evitable due to arguing the both attitudes, preservation and development of nature. However, There are possibilities to make an agreement with the compromise between the two sides. The common goals of the attitudes are concerning human beings and their life quality. In this atmosphere, the exhibition hall of dams is very important to lead the agreement of both groups because the spaces not only provide contents to compromise by showing positive factors of dams, but present condition of using water as natural resources. The purpose of this study is based on the effect of the applied media in an exhibition hall as presenting education and enlightenment factors. To examine the effect, this study categorizes the existing media by communication types firstly. Secondly, based on the categorization, existing media of each dam exhibition hall are analyzed by numerical way. Thirdly, the general characteristics of applied media are defined by integrating the spatial contents and media. The data from the study are effective to provide the basic data for following design works for the exhibition space.

Human beings are having suffered from the unexpected climate changes which are caused by global warming leaded from air pollution. More than 3 billions of people will be forced to (???)→_enence insufficient water in 2015. In Korea, over 70% of precipitation has been concentrating in Summer season. Furthermore, natural disasters has been occurred constantly all over the country. The unusual flood and drought have broken out not only. victims but also, property damages. By the natural condition, the effective consuming and controlling system of water is going to be the core business field and constructing dams will be encouraged and promoted for the system. To convince the objectionable against the constructing dams, a dam exhibition center stands the very important position by being responsible for the presenting positive factors and highlighting the beneficial functions. The dam exhibition center is built as complex space combined by information center regarding water resources and visitor center for the community nearby the inundated area. Combined of the different purposes, the dam exhibition center can be confused to understand the concept and contents established in the space., To enhance the visitors’ understanding contents of the dam exhibition center, the spatial composition and contents are being analyzed with existing centers and define the most effective exhibition methods between the spaces and visitors. This study will be the basic Quantitative analysis data for the following design works those can get the better insight how to make visitors to get information and agreement of constructing dams effectively.
