Since Liquid Petroleum Gas(LPG) absorbs heat to evaporate when it is injected in atmosphere pressure. the temperature of injector tips is decreased even below freezing in LPLi system. Inside intake manifold. vapor among fresh charge passing the cold injector can stick and glow on the surface of the injector as a form of ice. The phenomenon called Icing is paid attention, when it interferes with engine management by its ice particles flowed into cylinder. As a result of injection visualization, emission analysis, and study about engine running circumstance, these icing phenomenons are classified two types roughly; the one from cold adapter surface and the other one from Teflon tube tip placed in the center of injector adapters. Icing on adapter surface is significantly moderated by encouraging heat transfer between cold injector tips and hot induct manifold in a LPLi injector employed shut-off valve.
