영국 및 EU 농식품 시장 진출을 위한 Clean Label 가이드라인

The ‘Clean and clear label’ movement, which began in UK, is expanding not only in Europe but all over the world, creating a new market for the agricultural food industry. The clean label proved its positive effect on consumers’ purchasing behavior, which also suggests that consumer’s health concerns strongly link to food purchase trends. The concept of clean labels, however, is ambiguous in each country, and there is a lot of confusion among consumers, as well as food manufacturers and distributors. Many experts strongly urge that the common standards of clean labels be established as soon as possible. In this situation, the standards of clean labels adopted by the UK and the EU can be a good example for us. To share various implications expected through the clean label movement. we will look at various agricultural food consumption trends triggered by the clean label movement along with clean label regulations in the UK and the EU, providing useful information to the researchers involved and the companies in exporting our agricultural products.

Consumer Behavior toward Adopting Electric Vehicles

전 세계적으로 환경규제가 강화되고 있는 상황에서 전기차가 환경 관련 규제에 대응하고 소비자의 환경친화적 욕구를 충족시킬 수 있는 대안으로 떠오르면서 정부와 관련 기업들이 전기차시장 활성화를 위해 노력하고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 기술수용모델(TAM)을 기반으로 사회적 및 개인적 규범 변수를 추가하여 전기차 선택 시 소비자의 어떠한 행동 요소가 구매 의도 및 행동으로 연계될 수 있는지 파악하였고, 가설 검증을 위해 구조모형분석을 실시하였다(Amos 18.0). 실증분석 결과 첫째, 기술수용모델의 핵심적 변인인 지각된 사용용이성만이 전기차 수용의도에 긍정적인 영향을 주었다. 둘째, 환경적 신념과 규범의 관련성을 보면, 개인적 규범의 경로를 제외한 사회적 규범에서만 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미쳤고, 규범과 전기차의 수용의도의 관련성만 보면 사회적 규범 중 주어진 상황에서 어떻게 행동해야 하는지에 대한 사회적 기준, 즉, 명령적 규범만이 전기차 수용의도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 환경에 대한 관심이 높아지면서 국가와 기업은 물론 개인에 이르기까지 환경보호, 에너지 절약, 친환경 소비를 강조하고 있으며, 개인의 입장에서도 자신과 직접적 관련성이 있는 가시적인 효과와 이해관계에 따라 행동하고 판단하는 양상을 보이는 것으로 해석할 수 있다. 환경친화적이고 사회적으로 도움이 되는 기업에 대한 소비자의 선호가 높아지고 있으며, 이는 소비자의 환경적 신념과 도덕적 견해가 구매의사결정에 영향을 줄 수 있다는 것을 시사한다. As electric vehicles (EVs) emerge as a promising solution to environmental pollution, governments and automakers are attempting various efforts to boost the EV market. However, the market share of EVs remains low and consumers are taking a wait-and-see approach to the situation. In this study, we look at consumer hesitation in the EV market and examine what behavioral factors in choosing EVs can be linked to actual purchase intention. We analyzed the model by empirically employing AMOS-based structural equation modeling analysis. The results suggested that only perceived ease-of-use affects intention-to-use of EVs in the original Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). In the extended TAM, we found the relationship of environmental belief with the intention to use EVs through injunctive norms. Additionally, intention-to-use had a significantly positive relationship to actual purchase intention. In the case of EVs, intention-to-use is directly connected to purchase intention without an attitude-behavior gap. Findings imply that governments and EV makers should utilize the consumers’ environmental beliefs better to stimulate their intention to use EVs.

미국 상원 자율주행법안(AV START Act)의 주요내용 및 시사점

미래에 대해 이야기할 때마다, 소위 자율주행자동차는 우리가 흔히 떠올리는 미래에 대한 이야기 소재 중 하나이다. 메르세데스 벤츠, 아우디, 닛산과 같은 기존 자동차 제조사에서 구글과 오로라 같은 기술 회사에 이르기까지 많은 국제적인 기업들이 자율주행자동차가 곧 상용화될 것이라고 선언하고 있으며, 무인 자동차가 가져올 편리함에 대하여 광고하고 있다. 하지만 사람들은 새로운 세상을 맞이할 준비가 되어 있지 않다. 운전자가 없는 차량에 대한 수많은 뉴스를 접할수록, 우리는 그들의 안전성과 그들이 침해할지도 모르는 사생활에 대해 더 많이 우려하게 된다. 이런 상황에서, 미국은 용감하게도 자율 주행 기술의 발전을 따라가기 위해 빠른 움직임을 보였다. AV START ACT- S. 1885 (AV START ACT라 한다.) 이 바로 자율 주행 기술을 발 빠르게 미국 내에 적용하기 위한 미국판 자율주행법안이라고 할 수 있다. AV START ACT는 자율주행차량 배치에 중요한 역할을 할 것으로 예상되고 있다. 요컨대, AV START ACT는 자율주행차량의 장단점을 따져 본 후에 자율주행차량의 빠른 도입을 원하는 관련업계와 보다 강력한 안전성과 사이버보안 및 프라이버시를 요구하는 소비자들과의 균형을 맞추기 위해 고민한 법이라고 할 수 있다. 다가오는 미래 교통수단의 혁명에 대비하기 위해, 미국의 AV START ACT는 우리에게 좋은 예가 될 수 있다. 특히 사이버 보안과 프라이버시 보호를 위한 섹션은 매우 중요하기 때문에 이에 대해 더 많은 연구와 논의가 필요하다. Every time we talk about the future, the so-called driverless vehicle is one of the common topics we normally come up with. Many international companies from conventional car makers like Mercedes Benz, Audi, and Nissan, to tech firms such as Google and Aurora declare that driverless vehicles will be commercialized very soon and advertise the bright side driverless vehicles can deliver to our real life. People, however, aren't ready for the whole new world. The more we are treated to a great deal of driverless vehicle news, the more we get concerned about their safety probability and our privacy they may breach. In this situation, the U.S. bravely made a fast move to keep up with progress in autonomous driving technology. The Autonomous Vehicle Legislation - Senate bill (AV START Act - S. 1885) is American version for dealing with autonomous driving technology. AV Start Act is expected to play a momentous role in deploying driverless vehicles. To be prepared for the revolutionized future transportation, AV Start Act may become a good example for Korean legislators and researchers. Particularly, the section for cybersecurity and the section for privacy protection are so important that we need to discuss them further. In summary, AV Start Act is a current version of the best balancing act after weighing the pros and cons on driverless vehicles.
