HFC 전송망용 Unslotted CSMA-CD 프로토콜의 성능해석에 관한 연구

HFC(Hybrid Fiber Coaxial) 전송망이 초고속통신망의 하나의 대안으로 주목받고 있다. 따라서, HFC 전송망에 적합한 새로운 MAC 프로토콜을 제안한다. 연구의 주된 목표는 unslotted 1-persistent CSMA/CD 프로토콜의 성능을 해석하는 것이며,주된 해석 지표는 전송망의 안정도, 공평성, 망의 효율에 따른 지연과 평균 큐 길이 이다. HFC 전송망은 단방향의 전송 특성을 가지며,상이한 충돌 매커니즘을 가진다. 해석을 위해 전송망에는 사개의 무한 버퍼를 가지는 유한 단말로 가정하였으며,각 단말에 도착하는 데이터의 형태는 지수분포를 가진다고 가정한다. 또한,HFC 전송망의 우선적인 접속특성으로 인하여 preemptive-repeat-identical 재전송 전략을 가지는 M/G/1 큐잉 시스템으로 모델링하였다.

Over the past few years, customer relationship management and loyalty programs have been widely adopted by companies and have received a great deal of attention from marketers, consultants, and to a lesser degree, academics. In this situation, the purpose of this research is to identify the concept of customer reward program and loyalty program in the restaurant industry and examine the effects of three variables; type (direct vs. indirect) and timing (immediate vs. accumulate) of rewards in two restaurant types (casual dinning restaurant vs. fast-food restaurant). The findings of this study provide valuable insights to help managers design their reward programs. It is vital for firms to offer customers the correct type of reward programs than to waste resources on an ineffective reward. Especially, the service organization must be clear in its objective when offering reward programs. In order to test this research framework, a 2 x 2 x 2 completely randomized, factorial design was used. The type of rewards, timing of reward and service organization are designed as between-subjects variables.
고속 인터넷을 위한 TCP/IP 가속기의 구현과 성능분석에 관한 연구

Among all protocols, TCP/IP is one of the most popular suites in use. But TCP/IP was accused if being too slow for high speed networks. So there was many studies of TCP/IP for high speed network. In this paper, Some parts of TCP/IP suites are implemented by hardware and others are implemented by software on an embedded RISC CPU. This hybrid method is easier be implemented than a pure hardware TCP/IP and performs over than pure software TCP/IP on an embedded RISC CPU. The TCP/IP accelerator card(TAC) has an Intel i960 and software TCP/IP module is modified Waterloo TCP/IP and tested by Intel Mon960. Hardware module is designed using VHDL, complied and simulated using Altera, Synopsys.
HFC/CATV 망용 Unslotted Dynamic Pi-persistent CSMA/CD 매체접근제어 방식의 성능분석

본 논문에서는 초고속 통신망의 한 대안으로 떠 오르고 있는 HFC망을 기초로 한 HFC/CATV의 MAC프로토콜을 제안하고 분석한다. HFC/CATV망에서 상향 채널은 위치에 따라 다른 우선적인 접속 특성을 가진다. 이런 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 전송할 데이터 패킷이 발생하더라도, 그 즉시 전송하지 않고 확률적으로 전송하는 새로운 프로토콜을 제안한다. 또한, Pi값을 동적으로 갱신할 수 있는 2가지의 동적 알고리즘(free-weighted estimation algorithm and smoothed estimation algorithm)을 제안하고, 이에 따른 광범위한 시뮬레이션을 수행한다.

The purpose of this study is to propose the moderating effect of long term orientation for customer reward programs. Unlike short-term oriented and transactional marketing, the long term orientation is an important factor to create new loyalty customers. Therefore, this research shows moderating effect of long term orientation depending on interaction between reward timing and reward types. In order to test this research framework, a 2×2 completely randomized factorial design was used. The type of rewards and the timing of rewards are designed as between-subjects variables. The treatment groups are dissimilar from each other by manipulating reward type and reward timing though scenario exposures. As a result, long term orientation has a moderating effect of reward timing and types for customer loyalty. When customer get accumulated rewards, the higher long term orientation, the more effective for customer loyalty. These results enhance that long term orientation should be considered as a fatal factor of the design of customer reward program.

The main purpose of this research is to find out what are the non-financial factors contributing to management and financial performance for mid-scale hotels in Korea. In this study the balanced scorecard, which was proposed by Kaplan & Norton(1996) and Denton & White(2000), were used for proving the purpose of this research. The multi-regression analysis for the relationship between internal facilities and employee satisfaction and the binary logistic regression analysis for financial performance with two factors-employee satisfaction and the efficiency of internal facilities-are used as the methods of statistic analysis in this study. The findings of this study is that there is a significant difference on the location and brand awareness for employee satisfaction but not on the structure of goods. Employee satisfaction also influence to the financial performance.
