통합학교 중등 일반교사의 보편적 학습설계에 대한 인식과 실천 수준 비교

본 연구에서는 장애학생을 지도한 경험이 있는 통합학교 중등 일반교사들이 보편적 학습설계(universal design for learning: UDL)의 필요성에 대해 어떻게 인식하고 있으며, 실제로 어느 정도 실천하고 있는지 분석하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 D시의 특수학급이 설치된 중ㆍ고등학교에 재직 중이며, 장애학생을 지도한 경험이 있는 일반교사 119명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 설문조사 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 통합학교의 중등 일반교사들은 보편적 학습설계에 대한 인식은 비교적 높으나, 그에 비해 실천 정도는 상대적으로 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째 UDL 적용 필요성에 대한 인식과 실천은 정적인 상관관계를 보인다. 즉 UDL을 적용해야 한다고 인식하는 교사일수록 실제로 학급에서 UDL을 실천하는 수준이 높은 것으로 파악되었다. 셋째, 학교급간, 즉 중학교와 고등학교에 근무하는 교사들 간에는 UDL 필요성에 대한 인식 수준이 유사하게 나타났고, 그 실천 정도도 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 교사들이 중요하다고 인식하거나 실천하고 있는 전략들을 구체적으로 파악할 수 있었다. 이상의 연구결과를 토대로 보편적 학습설계가 반영된 교육과정과 교과서 개발과 교사연수의 필요성, 적절한 교수전략의 적용을 위한 방안 연구 등 향후 일반학교 교육과정에서 보편적 학습설계를 구현하기 위해 필요한 지원정책과 연구의 방향성을 제시하였다. Universal design for learning was introduced recently as a new paradigm for teaching, learning, assessment, and curriculum development. This study was set to investigate secondary school teachers’ perception for the necessity and the application of the UDL in inclusive settings. For this purpose, a total of 119 secondary school teachers participated in this survey. The major results of this study could be summarized as follows: First, the general education teachers’ perception for the necessity of the UDL was higher than their application of the UDL on inclusive education. Second, the perception and the application that general education teachers reported in this survey had some positive correlations. Third, there were no statistically significant differences between the responses of the middle school teachers and those of the high school teachers. Fourth, this study had identified several strategies of the UDL that the teachers thought of as important. Ultimately discussions and several implications on the successful application of the UDL were presented based on the results.

발달장애인을 위한 대학기반 중등이후 교육 프로그램 개발과 실천 사례연구

연구목적: 이 연구는 성인기 발달장애인의 중등이후교육을 위해 대학환경을 효과적으로 활용할 수 있는 교육 프로그램의 개발과 운영의 사례를 체계적으로 제시하여 궁극적으로 발달장애인을 위한 대학기반 중등이후 교육 프로그램의 다양화와 질적 향상에 기여하고자 실시되었다. 연구방법: 이 연구에서는 발달장애인을 위한 대학기반 중등이후 교육 프로그램을 계획하고 실행하기 위해서 중등특수교육과의 재학생들을 또래 지원자로 활용하고 다양한 영역의 내용전문가인 여러 학과의 교수들과의 협력을 이루는 등 대학 내의 다양한 인적 자원과 물적 자원을 어떻게 활용할 수 있는지를 체계적이고 구체적으로 기술하였다. 연구결과: 이러한 프로그램을 구성하고 실행하기 위해 어떠한 원칙과 전략, 절차 등을 적용할 수 있는지와 수강생, 학부모, 또래지원자 각각에게 프로그램의 운영과 성과에 대한 평가를 어떻게 실시하는지를 밝히고 그 평가결과를 분석하여 제시하였다. 결론: 이 연구에서 제시한 사례를 통해 도출한 대학기반의 성인기 발달장애인의 중등이후교육 프로그램의 성공적인 개발과 운영을 위해 논의해야 할 내용으로서 개발 및 실행과정과 프로그램 평가부분으로 나누어 살펴보고 연구의 의의와 제한점을 밝혔다. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to describe the case study of university based post secondary education programs for individuals with developmental disabilities. In doing so the study aims to contribute to the diversification and improvement of the curriculum of for these individual. Method: This post secondary education program was described systematically from its planning to development, execution, and evaluation. The focus was on the role of each faculty member, strategies of execution, and main classes and activities that constitute the program. Results: This study suggests a method in which the participants with developmental disabilities could evaluate the classes and activities that they experienced. As a result, various kinds of data from the participants, their families, and peer supporters were collected and reflected upon. Conclusion: We analysed the data from the evaluation of this program and discussed the appropriate direction that post secondary education for individuals with developmental disabilities should proceed.

The purpose of the study is to identify the usability of OpenCouresWare(OCW) from the perspective of students with visual and hearing impairments. Twelve college students with disabilities(8 visual and 4 hearing impairment) implemented usability testing. Two modules in both edX and KOCW were selected for testing. Students with disabilities implemented usability testing and then each individual case was analyzed through quantitative and qualitative methods. As results, the degree of general usability in both edX and KOCW indicated an average level and the degree of accessibility in edX module was evaluated higher than KOCW. Specifically, the module of edX was rated highly by students with hearing impairments and the usability level of KOCW module was highly appreciated by blind students.
