산업이 발전함에 따라 석유는 산업화가 진행되기 위한 가장 필요한 자원이다. 그러나 석유의 매장량은 한정적이고 이를 대신할 에너지원 개발이 절실하다. 이에 한정된 석유자원을 좀 더 효율적으로 활용하기 위해 원유정제 과정에서 발생되는 중질유의 경질유화로 전환시켜 고부가가치를 지닌 자원으로 만들어 경제적 손실을 최소화하는 방안이 제시되고 있다. 따라서 석유에너지를 효과적으로 사용하며 경제적 손실을 줄이기 위해 단순정제를 마친 중질유를 상품성이 높은 경질유(Gas oil, Naphtha등)로 얻어내는 효과적 기술이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 중심금속으로 Molybdenum을 사용하여 중질유 수첨분해용 전구체를 합성하였다. 중질유 수첨분해 반응에 사용되는 전구체는 Carboxylic계 리간드를 사용하여 합성하였으며, 리간드에 따른 분해효율은 한국화학연구원의 수소첨가 분해용 고온, 고압 반응기를 사용해서 확인하였다. 합성된 전구체의 화학적 구조를 알아보기 위해 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, FT-IR를 사용하였다.
The protective mechanism of QGC in feline esophageal epithelial cells by interleukin-1b treatment

In a previous study, Quercetin-3-O-b-D-glucuronopyranoside(QGC) has anti-oxidative and anti-inflammatoryeffects in vivo. QGC is a flavonoid glucosideextracted from Rumex Aquaticus. We investigated thedownstream target proteins involved in IL-1b-stimulatedROS production and the ability of QGC to inhibit ROSproduction. Cell viability was determined using the MTTreduction assay. Western blot analysis was performed withantibodies to investigate the activation of three MAPKs,NF-jB, and phosphorylated IjB-a (pIB), and the expressionof COX-2. 20,70-dichlorofluorescin diacetate was usedto detect the generation of intracellular ROS species. Whenthe cells were exposed to media containing IL-1b for 18 h,cell viability was not affected. QGC did not reduce theCOX-2 expression induced by IL-1b. However; QGCattenuated the production of intracellular ROS induced byIL-1b. IL-1b increased the expression of ERK, p38 MAPK,and pIB, and nuclear translocation of NF-jB were recoveredby the ROS scavenger N-acetyl-L-cysteine (NAC) andQGC, but not by the NADPH oxidase inhibitor diphenyleneiodonium. Pretreatment of cells with the ERK inhibitorPD98059, the p38 MAPK inhibitor SB202190, NAC,and QGC attenuated nuclear translocation of NF-jB andactivation of pIB. QGC has a scavenging effect on cytokine-induced ROS production, thereby preventing itsdownstream effects, nuclear translocation of NF-jB, andactivation of pIB is mediated by activation of ERK and p38MAPK, although QGC does not inhibit IL-1b-stimulatedCOX-2 expression in feline esophageal epithelial cells. Thedata suggest that QGC exerts anti-oxidative effects andinhibitory effects against esophageal epithelial cells signalsby the action of IL-1b treatment.
The effect of synthetic ceramide analogues on gastritis and esophagitis in rats

The effects of ceremide analogues on esophagitis and gastritis in rats were examined. Gastritis induced by indomethacin was significantly reduced after CY3325 and CY3723 treatment, whereas other analogues had no effect. The amount of malondialdehyde in gastritis was significantly reduced by CY3325 or CY 3723. CY3325 or CY 3723 decreased the glutathione levels in gastritis. The myeloperoxidase level in gastritis is increased, and its increment was decreased by CY3325 and CY3723. In reflux esophagitis, the ulceration was decreased by CY3325, CY3723. The gastric volume and acid output are reduced, whereas the pH value is increased by CY3325 or CY3723 after esophagitis. These results suggest that ceramide analogues, CY3325 and CY3723, can prevent the development of gastritis and reflux esophagitis in rats.
