V2X (Vehicle to Everything) system ensures safety by sending BSM (Basic Safety Message) including vehicle information and using the MBD (Mis-Behavior Detection) system which is able to classify abnormal or malicious vehicles. However, as vehicle information is exposed for safety, problems related to privacy and security inevitably arise. In particular, location and travel route privacy has been issued recently and many studies have been conducted to protect vehicle location privacy. The problem of conventional studies is that the privacy solutions did not consider V2X system including MBD. Therefore, this paper summarizes the conventional location privacy solutions and analyzes how MBD affects these solutions In addition, based on this analysis, we propose a location privacy solution with GPS position accuracy which is most suitable for the current V2X security system considering BSM and MBD.

According to the development of automotive technology, the number of electronic control units (ECUs) embedded in vehicles is increasing and a high level of sensors is required. It causes an increase in data traffic and latency of the in-vehicle network (IVN). The automotive architecture and IVN have changed to solve this problem, and zone-based architecture with an ethernet backbone is considered next-generation automotive architecture. In this paper, since the lane-keeping assist system (LKAS) requires higher resolution to achieve higher accuracy, we analyzed the factors of end-to-end latency and the effect of IVN latency on the safety of LKAS. The resolution guidelines for a camera sensor are also proposed considering the IVN link rate.

According to the development of connected and autonomous vehicles (CAVs) technology, the number of electronic devices embedded in vehicles is increasing and it causes the increment of data traffic of the in-vehicle networks. For highspeed data transmission, especially for the sensor network, the demand of automotive serializer/deserializer (SerDes) has increased. However, conventional automotive SerDes technologies do not provide interoperability because each company independently develops the technology. Automotive SerDes alliance (ASA) provides interoperability and 4~5 times higher data rate than conventional automotive SerDes technologies by standardizing with automotive original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and vehicle semiconductor companies. In this paper, we introduce the ASA system in terms of frame structure and physical layer that are currently being standardized.

Today, speeding accidents are constantly occurring. To prevent these accidents, speeding enforcement is implemented by measuring the speed using a camera in Korea. However, the camera-based speed enforcement can measure an instantaneous speed in one direction and has a disadvantage in that the measurement range is narrow. This paper proposes a V2X-based vehicle speed control system to overcome the shortcomings of a camera-based enforcement system. In this system, we compare accuracy using speed data extracted in GPS and IVN. Furthermore, we compare DSRC and C-V2X, leading technologies of V2X, in terms of timeliness and reliability. We conduct implementations on highways and city roads with tunnels to confirm that the V2X can be used in speed enforcement system. Based on the results, we verify both GPS/IVN of extracting vehicle speed and DSRC/CV2X of communication technology.

본 논문은 다양한 운전자보조시스템(Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, ADAS) 기술 탑재로 카메라 및 센서 데이터가 증가함에 따라 차량 내부 네트워크(In-Vehicle Network, IVN)에서 생기는 트래픽 혼잡을 IEEE 802.1 TSN(Time-Sensitive Networking)을 통해 해결할 수 있어 이에 대한 성능을 분석한다. 또한, 링크 속도에 따라 필요로 하는 TSN 표준이 다르므로 TSN 기술 구현에 대한 복잡성을 고려하여 적절한 TSN 기술을 선택하기 위한 가이드라인을 제안한다.

With the development of vehicles, the connectivity between the vehicle and the outside is increasing, and thus, access routes to the in-vehicle network are diversifying. Controller area network (CAN), one of the in-vehicle networks, has been widely used for communication of major control systems but is vulnerable to cyberattacks. To reinforce the security of the CAN system, the proposed system uses autocorrelation of sampled CAN signals to detect the attacks. The k-Nearest Neighbor (k-NN) algorithm is used for the automation of data identification. In addition, performance evaluation according to temperature change is conducted, considering the real vehicle environment.
