        제주지역 일부 농업 시설 내 라돈 농도 예비 조사

        BACKGROUND: A preliminary investigation of the radon (222Rn) concentration has been conducted, employing solid-state nuclear-track detectors (SSNTD) and a continuous radon monitor (CRM), for fourteen randomly selected agricultural greenhouses in Jeju Island, where the underground-air was used for air conditioning and CO2 supplement. METHODS AND RESULTS: The SSNTD was used to measure the average radon concentration for three months and the CRM was used for an instantaneous measurement. In order to obtain the radon concentration of a greenhouse, the SSNTDs were placed at a number of evenly distributed points inside the greenhouse and the mean of the measured values was taken. In addition, in order to assess the radon concentration of the underground-air itself, measurement was also made at the borehole of the underground-air in each agricultural facility, employing both the SSNTD and CRM. It is found that the radon concentration of the greenhouses ranges higher than those not using the underground-air and the average of Korean dwellings. While the radon concentration of most agricultural facilities is still lower than the reference level (1,000 Bq/m3) recommended by the International Radiation Protection Committee (ICRP), three facilities at one site show higher concentrations than the reference level. The three-month- averaged radon concentration and the instantaneous radon concentration of the underground-air itself ranges 1,228- 5,259 and 3,322-17,900 Bq/m3, respectively, and regional variation is more significant. CONCLUSION: From this results, radon concentration of the underground-air is assumed that it is associated with the geological characteristics and the boring depth of the region located of their.

        고주파절제술 후 발생한 지연성 간농양-횡행결장 누공 1예

        초음파 가이드를 이용한 고주파 열치료는 간세포암 치료에 있어 효과적이고 안전한 치료방법이다. 비록 간세포암의 최선의 치료법은 수술적 절제이나 고주파 열치료는 이러한 수술을 대체할 수 있는 대안으로 떠오르고 있다. 고주파 열치료의 잠재적 합병증으로 간농양, 복수, 흉수, 피부 화상, 저산소증, 기흉, 간피막하 혈종, 혈복강, 간부전, 종양 파종, 담도 병변 등이 있다. 본 증례에서는 매우 드문 합병증으로 간세포암에 대해 고주파 열치료 후 지연형으로 발생한 간농양-횡행결장 누공을 보고 하는 바이다. 환자는 경피적 농양배액술 및 항생제 치료 후 간의 부분절제와 결장을 포함한 누공의 절제를 통하여 성공적으로 치료되었다. 본 증례의 희소성으로 인하여 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Percutaneous radiofrequency thermal ablation (RFA) performed under ultrasound guidance is a safe, effective therapeutic modality for managing liver malignancies. Although surgical resection remains the treatment of choice for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), RFA has emerged as a reliable alternative. Potential complications of RFA include liver abscess, ascites, pleural effusion, skin burns, hypoxemia, pneumothorax, subcapsular hematoma, hemoperitoneum, liver failure, tumor seeding, and biliary lesions. Here, we report a rare complication after RFA for HCC: a delayed liver abscess and transverse colonic fistula. The patient was treated successfully with percutaneous abscess drainage, antibiotics, liver segmentectomy, and segmental resection of the fistula and involved colon. Due to its rarity, we report this case and review the literature. (Korean J Med 2014;86:722-727)

        확장된 목표지향 행동모형을 적용한 브랜드 한우의 구매동기에 관한 연구

        Becuase of the characteristics of brand korean beef like uniform feeding and management, security and grade quality, the Brand korean beef are recognized as a high-quality meat by the consumers. The purpose of this study was developed to an extended model of goal-directed behavior (EMGB) in order to identify the decision-making process of customers who purchased brand Korean beef. Structural equation modeling approach was employed to identify the relationships among latent variables after developing the proper measurement model. The results of the EMGB indicated that desire had the strongest relationship with customers` intentions to purchase brand Korean beef followed by perceived behavioral control, prior knoledge for brand Korean beef. In the model, desire was determined by mainly positive anticipated emotion, subject norm, attitude, prior knowledge and negative anticipated emotion. In the case of the little study of EMGB model using for agricultural and rural area, this study provide the useful implication which induce the producer of brand Korean beef to strengthen brand awareness and marketing strategy.
