The thermal rating of a conductor are maximum continuous current capacity and short time emergency current capacity. The overload operation for a faults have an effect on a conductor lifetime. Its time duration and overload level are limited to facility conditions of transmission lines. The short time emergency current capacity in KOREA observe the KEPCO's DESIGN RULE 1210, but its rules are not included to concept of an allowable short time duration. This papers are described to the calculation concept of short time emergency current capacity considering a time duration and an overload level. And we suggested a operation grouping and its maximum conductor temperature considering facility conditions - conductor lifetime, stability of connection points, conductor height above ground and clearance, in the operating and new T/L.

본 논문에서는 2회선 가공송전선에 대하여 2회선 중 1회선에 고장이 발생한 경우에 안전하게 운전할 수 있는 단시간정격을 결정하기 위한 해석적 방법을 기술한다. 도체의 온도특성을 나타내는 열평형방정식을 선형화 함으로써 이 선형방정식으로 1회선 선로에 과부하가 발생하는 동안 과전류와 그 온도 특성을 쉽게 표현할 수 있다. 일반적으로 단시간 선로정격은 도체의 수명과 이도를 동시에 고려하여 결정해야 한다는 것은 잘 알려진 사실이다. 그렇지만 대부분의 전력회사는 단시간정격에 대한 각자의 다른 지침을 갖고 있다. 이 논문에서는 제안된 방법을 사용하면 과거 3시기에 건설된 한국전력공사의 가공송전선에 규정된 단시간정격을 재평가할 수 있고, 그 결과 단시간정격을 효율적으로 증대시킬 수 있음을 확인하였다. 또한 이 방법은 2회선 선로 중 1회선에 고장이 발생할 경우에 기존 선로에 어떤 조치도 하지 않아도 단시간 동적송전용량을 결정하는데 직접 이용할 수 있을 것이다. This paper describes an analytical method to determine the short-term ratings to reliably operate the overhead transmission lines with double-circuit lines when faulting one circuit of the two. As linearizing the thermal equilibrium equation that represents the temperature characteristic of conductors, we show that the linear equation can be easily represented the over-current and it's temperature property during overloading the one line. Generally, it is well hewn that the short-term line ratings should be determined by considering both conductor life and dip. However, most power companies have their own different guides for the short-term ratings. Using the suggested method in this paper, it can be re-accessed the short-term ratings given in Kepco's overhead transmission lines constructed during the past three different periods. As a result, it is verified that the short-term ratings could be increased mil efficiently. Furthermore, it would be directly applied the given method to determine the short-term dynamic line ratings when occurring faults in one of the double-circuit lines, without doing my other actions for the current lines.

가공송전 도체는 정상 동작조건 하에서 전력회사의 선로 설계지침에 규정된 지상고를 안정범위 내에서 항상 유지할 수 있어야 한다. 따라서 새로운 선로를 건설하거나 노화도체의 장력을 다시 조정하거나 또는 전력용량을 최대화하기 위해 동적송전용량을 모니터링하는 경우에, 도체 이도를 측정/또는 모니터링하는 것은 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 도체의 카테너리 각도로 이도 및 장력을 추정하기 위한 새로운 방법을 제안한다. 가공송전선로의 대부분의 도체들은 전형적인 카테너리 곡선을 나타내므로 철탑 측의 카테너리 각도로부터 도체의 카테너리 곡선을 유일하게 결정할 수 있다. 이 카테너리 곡선을 토대로 도체의 이도나 수평장력을 쉽게 추정할 수 있다. 몇 가지 시뮬레이션과 간단한 실험 결과를 통하여 제안된 방법이 가공송전선의 도체 이도와 장력을 측정/또는 모니터링하는데 효과적으로 사용될 수 있음을 확인하였다. Under normal operating condition, the conductor of overhead transmission line could be always hold it's clearance within the safety margin that is specified in the line design guide of power company. Hence it may be very important to measure/or monitor the dip of the conductor, when building a new line, re-tensioning for an aged conductor, or monitoring dynamic line rating to maximize power capability. In this paper, we suggest a new method to estimate the dip and tension by catenary angle of the conductor. Since most conductors in overhead transmission lines show typical catenary curves, it can be uniquely determined the catenary curve for the conductor from the catenary angle at tower. Based on the catenary curve, the dip or horizontal tension can be easily estimated. Through some simulation and simple experimental results, it is verified that the suggested method can be effectively applied to measure/or monitor conductor dips and tensions in the overhead transmission lines.

A detailed study on aged sleeves for old transmission lines was carried out to clarify the deterioration of sleeves and the condition of installation. A lot of removed aged sleeves from transmission lines were investigated. Many biased installed cases and corrosion of steel sleeve part were found. These defects can cause a serious accident such as blackout during operating. The temperature distribution within sleeve of ACSR conductor was precisely measured and examined, conducted as part of series of studies on large currents in transmission lines. According to measurements of the conductor temperature near a joint(sleeve and clamp), the electrical resistance of joint is lower than that of the same length conductor. The detailed results were presented in the text.
강 슬리브 파단 직선 슬리브의 장력 및 열적 특성 분석 연구

According to previous report, aged sleeves of old transmission line showed several defaulted installation patterns, which was biased or corrosive-fractured of steel sleeve installed cases. These defects can cause serious accidents such as rapid increasing of sag or falling out of overhead conductor from sleeves. Consequently, the defects lead to the major power outage. Corrosion of steel sleeve is a typical defect by aging of sleeves. And it occupied almost 25 percent of investigated aged sleeves. This paper studied thermal properties and tension for ACSR conductor in case of fractured steel sleeve model by corrosion. The temperature distribution within overhead conductor has a specific gradient. Thermal properties of splice connectors(sleeve and clamp) showed normal behavior. However, mechanical properties were worse than normal sleeves. The detailed results were presented in the text.
