폴리(비닐 알코올) 접착제가 LCD 편광판의 치수안정성에 미치는 영향

LCD에 사용되는 편광판 제조 시, 치수안정성 및 내습성 향상을 위한 트리아세틸셀룰로오스(TAC) 필름 접착에 적용되는 폴리(비닐 알코올)(PVA) 접착제의 가수화도 및 분자량이 편광판 치수안정성에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. TAC 필름과 PVA 편광판의 접착력은 접착제의 탈아세틸화가 70%에서 최대가 되며 PVA 분자량은 가수화도가 70% 이하에서는 접착력에 영향을 미치지 않는 반면 70% 이상에서는 아세틸화에 의한 분자량 감소가 접착력에 영향을 줌을 알 수 있다. 편광판의 치수안정성은 분자량이 낮은 접착제를 사용할 경우 안정적이며 필름과 편광판의 접착력보다는 접착제의 가수화도에 더 의존적임을 확인할 수 있었다. Dimensional stability of LCD polarization film consisted of triacetyl cellulose (TAC) and poly(vinyl alcohol)(PYA) film has been studied and especially, the effect of PVA adhesive on the dimensional stability has been considered as function of deacetylation and molecular weight of PVA adhesive. The maximum adhesion strength between TAC and PVA film was obtained in the laminate using PVA adhesive with 70% of OH content and the effect of molecular weight on the adhesion strength was only pronounced in the laminate using PVA adhesive with OH content above 70%. It was found that the optimum dimensional stability of TAC/PVA/TAC laminate (polarizing film) was obtained when applied PVA adhesive has low molecular weight and it was more dependent upon the OH content than the adhesion strength between TAC and PVA films.

포스트모더니즘 이후 화예조형은 다양한 예술사조의 영향아래 타 영역간의 결합이 활발히 이루어져 왔다. 이에 따라 화예조형의 예술성 및 대중성 확보를 위해 예술사조가 미친 영향에 대한 이해와 적용가능성에 대한 연구가 요구되고 있다. 본문에서는 리얼리즘, 다다이즘, 미니멀리즘, 초현실주의 예술사조가 화예조형에 미친 영향을 분석하였다. 분석 방법은 최근 국내외 전문잡지와 학술지 등에서 부각된 주요 작가의 작품들을 선별하였으며 이들의 장단점을 화예조형의 기본 특성인 자연성, 예술성, 시?공간성 측면에서 분석하였다. 본문 분석을 바탕으로 현대 예술사조의 주요기법 및 특징이 화예조형에 적용 시에 어떠한 가능성과 한계점을 드러내는지, 그리고 향후 어떤 대안을 모색할 수 있을지에 대한 근거를 제공하였으며 이에 대한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 리얼리즘적 화예조형은 ‘재현’ 위주의 자연미 추구이며 이러한 특징은 재료나 표현의 선택에 있어 한계요인으로 작용할 수 있다. 둘째, 다다이즘은 기존 화예 조형의 가치나 형식을 뒤엎는 의도로 일상에서 사용되는 다양한 재료의 수용은 식물재료가 갖는 시간성의 한계를 극복하고 조형 영역의 확장을 유도할 수 있지만 극단적 소재와 형식의 편중은 자칫 화예조형의 기본 특성인 "자연성"을 위협할 소지가 있다. 셋째, 미니멀리즘적 화예조형은 전시공간과 관객과의 경계가 허물어지고 작품과 관객의 상호교감을 증진시킬 수 있으나 단순화되고 익숙한 이미지의 비개성화를 초래할 수 있다. 넷째, 화예조형에서의 초현실주의의 적용은 꿈, 무의식 그리고 그로테스크함을 다루며 새로운 표현의 영역을 제시하고 있으나, 이러한 표현의 특징은 아직 국내 대중들에게 다소 거부감을 자아낼 수 있다는 우려도 제기되고 있다. 본 연구 결과 화예조형이 다양한 예술사조들을 받아들이는 측면에서 여러 가지 강점과 한계를 드러내고 있음을 엿볼 수 있었다. 우리나라 화예조형 또한 국외의 화예조형 스타일을 그대로 수용하기보다는 기존의 접근방식을 비판적으로 해석하고 발전시키는 창의적인 자세가 필요할 것이며 독자적인 예술체계를 구축하도록 노력할 필요가 있다고 제언하는 바이다. Since postmodern era, floral art has developed using a variety of design tools and materials under the influence of art movements. Thus, it has been an important issue to understand the influences of the art movements and potential applicability in the field of floral art. This study aims to analyze the influences of the major modern art movements - Realism, Dadaism, Minimalism and Surrealism on floral art. We analyzed the influence of the art movements on floral art through professional magazines and academic papers, and illuminated strengths and weaknesses of the applications in terms of natural, artistic, and temporal/spatial characteristics. The study helps reveal potentials and limitations of the applications, and provide a basis for considering future alternatives. The results are following. We found the floral art based on Realism reveals limitations in the choice of materials and design, while Dadaistic approach tends to threat natural characteristics of floral art. Minimalistic approach may result in the prod uction of uniformal images despite the extensive use of materials, while Surrealistic approach tends to bring unfamiliar and negative images to the public in the context of Korean culture. As a result, floral art practices today tend to reveal several strengths and limitations in the application of art movements. Thus, it is necessary to develop creative perspectives that interpret critically existing approaches in Korea and to continue effort to establish our own unique floral art work environment.
